This was the one car I looked forward to buying in the UCD. It took 5-6 weeks but I picked and still love driving it even though I drove it a lot in GT4. It's a great car to use online when the room doesn't want people to use race cars. As mentioned numerous times in this thread, the power to weight ratio is excellent but the balance, grip and handling are also amazing.

the ZZII and Elise RM are my two favorites in the game.

Possibly one of the best cars. I'm willing to trade for it, since I have about 4 that I haven't even touched yet. PM me if you want one.

If you think its a diamond in the rough then you can't have had it in any GTs before.

This car has been a stand out ever since it was introduced into the game...

i have 3 ZZII and they are more on the rare side but u can get them oh and i trade mine if the price is right!!!!! if you want to add me on psn to trade put ZZII in the title

Yep it's the best performance/credits in the game.

I painted mine racing green metallic. Not every color goes with gold wheels.

No problem. Win it.

In the Seattle 100-mile? I could never win the beautiful black one.... my unicorn.

:dopey:

Beast of a car. I like the *gold B licence* ZZ-S, also - I fondly remember winning the GT3 Polyphony Digital cup with that thing. I think I even still have some of the replays. Awww, powerful FR have to pit again?

Ah yes, it IS the ZZ-S that you win, not the ZZ-II. I remember finding the ZZ-II in my ucd early on and thinking "how can this be so cheap?" I've seen it a couple of times in the ucd since then.

Maybe it will be in the OCD. 0/0 ZZ-II.

This thing is one of the funnest versions of overkill there is! If I remember correctly, it could go up against the F1 cars in GT3. :scared: I haven't seen it since I lost my old save to the YLOD though. :grumpy:

I must be crazy because I thought it felt heavy, sluggish, and just plain around the bends.

Your'e not crazy, I found the ZZII to handle like a damn pig too....

I found that it needed ALOT of tuning with LSD, Diff, and Suspension.

MR / 4WD / Lightweight = Understeer Central

This is because there is hardly any weight over the front wheels due to the MR configuration. Being a 4WD, the front wheels are also being used to drive the car, and therefore it is extremely important to have weight over them, so they can have enough grip to actually do their job (i.e. make the car handle well).

Acceleration further intensifies this problem too, as even more weight is taken off the front wheels as it gets transferred to the rear.

Because the car is extremely light, the weight of the engine itself makes up a huge percentage of the total weight. No matter what car, or how much it weights in total, if the engine itself makes up a large percentage of that total weight, the handling of the car is going to be greatly affected, differing in type of effect depending on the position of the engine.

This shows how the fairly rare configuration of MR / 4WD / Lightweight is very tricky to engineer, tune, and drive. As frustrating as it is though, when you get it right, the results are pretty amazing.
:)

IMO best car in the game . Its an absolute blast to drive and itll still bite you if you get it wrong.

I really need a second as im racking up the miles on mine .

Only mods are a wing, LSD and sports sorts.

If you get a chance, grab one! I have two in GT5 and have been a big fan of this car since GT2. Simply amazing car, gotta be the Best Bang for the Buck car in GT5!

I agree with some of the comments on handling and tuning. I am sure it would be a killer car in A-spec, but online in a PP limited race it is a different story.

If you can find a tune that you like for it, it is great fun. It has incredible amount of understeer but can also get twitchy at the same time. Kind of wierd but fun.

I just used it in a 560pp/R3 league race on Laguna-Seca and it did really well there. I feel confidient with a better driver it would have come 1st or 2nd amid tough competition. On most other tracks I do not think it would have done nearly as well though. With the right tuning, it does great things on turn 1 and the corkscrew. With its amazing launch, you could gain the lead first lap and hold it with little trouble if you are good (i.e. not like me lol).

Overall it is no brainer to pick up if you see it in the ucd.

The one in GT2 was sooo much cooler, it looked a lot more inspired and race-y.

so, you suggest adding a few kilograms of ballast on the front? my zzii is full-tuned, a monster in fast tracks like Monza, but has some problems of stability on tracks with many curves

It most certainly is the best bang for the buck car in the game, its powered by GTR.. it's lighter by a lot.. handles VERY well.. the list goes on.. all for alot less then the GTR which is the best bang for the buck supercar you can get. ZZII is amazing when you think about it.

Tommy Kaira ZZII would cost 60,000 at 0km. ;)
As a 'concept' categorised car in GT5, I believe it won't appear with a mileage greater than 200km either :)

Only very slightly more expensive than the ZZ-S

Powered by a R34 GTR right? Can't be an R35

ZZ-II is probably the best performance per credit, yes. Was it supposed to be that cheap? I guess if it wasn't, it would've been patched by now.

Then again, my 88c-v was free, as were both of my X2010s and my X2011... ;)

I still love this car, one of my favorites, and its my favorite top speed car (240+ by itself full tuned), and it just looks awesome, and its just and awesome car to begin with, I love it.
