Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: Crazy Horses

As your PlayStation console clock ticks over into midnight Friday morning, you’ll be able to participate in a brand new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges — the third for 2026.

This special bonus event features five challenges each week, comprising four standard race events from World Circuits and a Special Event which may be a race, a time trial, or a mission-type challenge. You’ll earn bonus rewards for completing them during the seven-day window, making it a fun (or at least incentivised) way to check off some races you might have missed from your Event Directory.

It’s not available to all players, only those who’ve finished the main GT Cafe career mode, so crack on through Menu Book 39 if you want the quick rewards.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges – January Week 3 Events

Sunday Cup – Northern Isle Speedway

A race that may be over and done with in 30 seconds flat, this one is the shortest and (joint with last week’s Classic race at Brands) lowest-paying race in the single-player game. You only need a road car for this two-lap run around a half-mile oval, and given that it pays a maximum of 5,000cr we won’t judge anyone for getting it out of the way quickly with something insanely fast (and trying to lap the AI).

European Clubman Cup 600 – Deep Forest

There’s 15 times as much money on offer in the next race, which again requires a road car but restricts it to European manufacturers. It’s a five-lap race around the reverse layout of Deep Forest, and if you want to play fair with the AI you should stick to the suggested Performance Point target of 600PP — but it isn’t a limitation. Taking the win lands you with 75,000cr.

World Touring Car 600 – Autodromo de Interlagos

However the “600” of the name of this event very much is a limitation. You can use any car of any kind, but only up to 600PP, for this five lap race around the Interlagos circuit. It’s effectively a performance and tuner car race, but there’s nothing to stop you using a low-end or detuned Gr.4 car if you like. Just be careful of that long run up the hill towards the finish as you might be a sitting duck for the more powerful AI as you chase the 90,000cr prize for victory.

Special Event – Yas Marina

There’s two six-figure races up this week, beginning with the Special Event. It’s a one-make race for the Ferrari 296 GTB road car around the Yas Marina circuit, and at seven laps long it’s a bit of a slog. The AI all seem to be in standard cars, so it shouldn’t be a particularly tricky race and there’s 120,000cr on offer for winning it.

World Touring Car 800 – Dragon Trail

A WTC event rounds us out again, this time in the WTC800 at Dragon Trail Seaside Reverse. You’ve got free choice of vehicle up to the 800PP cap, though Racing tires are required here and the AI field is packed out with Gr.3 cars even though updates haved move their base and BOP PP well down and you can get away with Gr.2 and even detuned Gr.1 cars now. It’s a ten-lap race with relatively high tire wear and fuel consumption, so keep an eye on both to secure the 140,000cr for victory.

Weekly Challenges offer up bonus rewards, increasing in value as you finish more events, along with the credits you earn from completing the individual events. These can vary from week to week, but are all sent as tickets to your Garage’s Gifts section, and you’ll to need to redeem them before they expire.

We do have a little change this week, with only the first two rewards being credit tickets: a 100,000cr ticket for completing any one event, and a 200,000cr ticket for finishing any three. The final reward this week is a Six-Star Roulette ticket, which can contain 500,000cr, a Brand Central car (including Invitation-only cars) worth at least that or — more rarely — 1,000,000cr.

In order to have access to the Weekly Challenges you’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set of the new-look events on the morning of Friday January 23.
