Xbox/PC Starter Pack

GTPlanet Featured Build

A Logitech G923 and a desk or table is all you really need to get started in sim-racing. It's based on the G29, a wheel with a stellar track record for durability that's supported by a huge range of racing games. For a first wheel, that's about as safe a foundation as you can get.

The G923 improves on the G29 in a few ways. It adds "TRUEFORCE" effects (Logitech's more detailed force feedback, which needs game support), an upgraded brake pedal, and a more professional look. The G29 is still sold, but it's getting on in age, and we think the little bit of extra money for the G923 is worth spending.

You're also not giving up much on performance. Plenty of top sim racers use low-end Logitech wheels and still do fine, so this is a good place to start and learn what you want from a rig.

Note that at this price point, your supported platforms (PC, PlayStation, or Xbox) is going to be determined solely by your wheel hardware, so the version of the G923 which works on PlayStation won't work on Xbox, and vice-versa. Both models will work on PC, though.
