This build is built around the Logitech PRO Racing Wheel, an excellent "direct drive" wheel (the wheel is attached straight to the motor, with no gears or belts in between) for Xbox and PC. It's a highly polished package with Logitech's build quality, and the wheel rim feels great in your hands.

The Logitech PRO Racing Pedals are also a pleasure to use, with a load cell brake (it responds to how hard you press, not just how far the pedal moves) and a clutch. Both mount in the Fanatec CSL Cockpit v1.5 and Seat Bundle, which gives you a solid, comfortable driving position and a platform you can build on later.

You could put together a similar rig from Fanatec parts, and it would also be a great setup. But to hit this price, which is just over $1,700 for the whole build, you'd have to make some compromises.
