This build is built for comfort, stability, and performance, and it works with just about any platform you want to play on. The foundation is the Fanatec CSL Cockpit v1.5 and Seat Bundle, which gives you a solid, comfortable driving position. The Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro (8 Nm) FullForce bundle adds a "direct drive" wheel base (the wheel is attached straight to the motor, with no gears or belts in between), a Gran Turismo branded steering wheel, and a decent set of pedals.

The key to the multiplatform support is the Fanatec CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC. Fanatec wheel bases bring PlayStation compatibility, while Fanatec steering wheels (or "rims") bring Xbox compatibility. Used together, the same core hardware works with both PlayStation and Xbox, and it works on PC too. That means you can play any game on any platform without buying a second rig.

The rest of the rig is set up for the future. The cockpit is a great foundation if you want to add parts later, and the wheel base's built-in QR2 quick release connector lets you upgrade to a wide range of other Fanatec wheels down the road.

You could save some money with the 5 Nm version of the wheel base. We believe most serious drivers spending this much will appreciate the extra power of the 8 Nm version, and that's the one we're recommending.
