Overview (How Does This Work?):
  • You must be part of our registry to participate

  • Save Your BEST LAP replay before exiting your session
  • Be sure and run at least 10 extra seconds after setting your fast lap. If you exit right away, your time stamp may not show up in your replay.
  • Report your split times in here, so you can compare your pace to other racers, without revealing the full lap time
  • Our leaderboard shows how you stack up during the week, before the deadline
  • Submit your lap via PM to our Fetchbot, before the event deadline
  • On deadline day, we will publish the results in our leaderboard and in a thread in this section
  • Identified replays will be checked by your fellow participants to be sure you meet the event regulations

Standard Clean OLR Rules (These Apply to ALL Events):
  • The event MUST be run using your registered PSN account.
  • The use of the clutch is strictly prohibited.
  • Use of the Handbrake is Prohibited.
  • No Contact with walls or other objects. Any contact with walls, no matter how minor, will result in a DQ.
  • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times (See image below).
    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track.
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind. We will know.
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules.

Race Specifics (Rules for This Specific Event):
  • Red and White Rumble Strips and Tarmac are Track Surface. No other surfaces are track
  • White lines denote track boundary except where backed by rumble strips
  • The big hotlap disqualifier will be the walls, visible or invisible. Be sure to check your teams replay thoroughly for any drops in speed when getting really close to the guardrails
Steward's Comments:
Welcome to the Team Championship Series event #1! I loved this track from day one of the beta, I know I'm in the minority on that. This car handles great, stock. A necessary component for the unforgiving track due to our WRS standards. I also picked a car that would allow passing for the OLR event on the early straights. Pro tips: Brake early entering the tunnel and brake a touch late coming out of the tunnel to avoid hitting the right guardrail. See you at the finish line!

Saving Replays, Viewing sector times and Submissions:
  • You need to make sure you use the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay' (See pic below)
  • Before saving your replay ensure that you continue running after completing your fast lap until at least the end of first sector. This will ensure you have a complete replay.
  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Library' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replays' option.
  • While viewing your Replay, enter the live timing screen to view your sector splits. You will need to do this after your car has passed the sector markers to see it listed.
  • Simply post the splits that are shown in the live timing screen, and our Fetchbot will parse them and add them together for your total sector time.
  • When saving your fastest lap replay please ensure that you watch the replay to the end and that it displays your full lap time. Any replays submitted that do not show the posted lap time will result in a DQ.
  • Remember - When you submit your time you're also declaring that your run is 100% clean. We request replays for the purpose of verifying to all those concerned that the drivers claim is correct, which in turn safeguards the integrity of the driver, and just as importantly, the WRS. The golden rule is to check your replay before submission. If you?re still unsure, check it again, ask for a second opinion and if you?re still undecided, run the lap again.

Submission:
All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 15 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):
  • Please submit your FULL LAP TIME in the following format on a single line:
    X:XX.XXX
    (Example-) 1:10.100

  • For those of you who were used to submitting replays on GT6, we no longer have the ability to export the files.
  • If you have an error, don't panic. Just review the instructions for submission and submit again. If you are having trouble and cannot figure it out, please post your question in the race thread.

  • Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the Subject: "GTP_WRS Week XX Remove Entry" and any text in the body.
  • If you want to submit multiple times in the week that is still not a problem. Just reply to the conversation with your new time. Fetchy always uses the last submitted time as the final one.
  • The deadline is Monday, March 12th 2018 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site
Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.
Replay Checking:
  • Division winners and overperformers will be required to submit a replay via GT Sport Share function for verification AFTER Unofficial Results have been posted.
  • Participants will be expected to check each others' replays for cleanliness, for replays marked in the Results thread as (Check Needed)
  • Video/Youtube/Twitch replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtplanet:

Just a reminder to have the captains do a roll call to make sure their drivers all have the 3 submitted entries completed with the Week 14 time trial. That way everyone will get a handicap and be placed in a division.

The results for the first week will be a little delayed (apologies) since I'll have to do some initial data entry after the registry results are in. GL everyone! Hopefully I tweaked the formula properly to give us closer point spreads

 holy cr... ab! Tokyo in a Huracan. Time to call firemen with all sorts of equipment. :D Y'all be sure to turn the wall colision detection to strict and penalty for that to invalidate time. This way you won't overwrite you fastest clean lap replay with the dirty one faster lap. ^^

Blind ratz, don't forget to turn in some laps: @Gravitron @mr_lab_rat @alexamenos @monoha @Iceman no tuner, so easy start, easy as easy though. ^^

Edit: ahh, not the team champs yet ^^ bad to understand things early in the morning after short sleep. ^^ my apologies. :embarrassed::cheers::gtpflag:

All other stands as I said ^^ :scared:

Edit 2: oops, as I said, hard to think of things when you literally sleep yet. ^^ it is the round 1 team champs as i did read more carefully the stewards notes. :D silly me, apologies one more time.:embarrassed::lol:

Nice break from the Nurb, only this time surrounded by concrete instead of foliage!

Enjoyable combo, just trying to string a fast lap together without slapping the walls is a challenge in itself!

...challenge accepted, here's my opening salvo,

19.501
16.660
19.040

Have fun y'all! (I 'm a big fan of that word too)

I've reported the issue with fetchy and the pictures. Hopefully we'll get a resolution soon 👍

Love this! Great fun fast combo.

19.203
16.228

Definitely recommend the wall collision settings in the penalty options - will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Sounds like a great idea.. however I'm not at all convinced that it will ensure you a clean lap.. as any scrap.. or light hit of the barriers.. does not regester.. you have to clobber it quite hard.. before it gives you a penalty.. so beware.. :)

Hmmmm... I have it on strict and it seems to pick up even the slightest touch when I didn’t think I actually touched it!

Nothing compares to checking it manually though obviously - and this must always be done as the penalty system can never be perfect! 👍

i tested this penalty on the very first event of GT Sport series, and I can say, it noticed even the slightest of a tap of the wall. Wall collision detection must be set on strict, then it works just perfectly. This worked also on Bathurst combo.

If you set it to strict it’ll read the slightest touch even if you don’t feel it through your controller/ wheel

I had it on strict.. even tried it invalidate lap.. still I have scraped the wall @ turn 1.. hit the barrier more than once on a lap. . DITO.. NOTHING.. NO PENALTY GIVEN WHAT SO EVER.. so just be aware

Guys we run on a "Better safe than sorry" policy for ages around here. So in case you have the slightest doubt about the validity of your laps, just scrap it and run another lap. Anything too close to tell should be treated as dirty.

Zero to 60 Reporting in! @JamCar0ne @Special_K @racer_xis @GTP_Patrick1 @Racingworld68

Finally not sick anymore from the flu and ear infection so starting off fresh with this combo.

Not a fan of Tokyo at all and told myself I wouldn't run a Tokyo WRS TT but I lied to myself.

Missing quite a bit of time in T1 especially and time to be found everywhere else as well. A good start for another week!

Will give it another go later! 👍

I’m not sure if it’s related but the time I just submitted to fetchy has been rejected as the deadline has passed :odd:
Message was titled correctly so not sure what that means

I think I remember someone saying that if you submit before the previous weeks TT has closed then fetchy will give you that error. Could be wrong though.
