Still cautious in the last few sectors, brakes 7/5 everything else off

Thanks brother. Just hoping not to stink it up to terribly. Was a little less than competitive in weeks 12 and 13.

Sorry, i didn't explain myself good enough.
I already submit my qualification to Vaxen, three times I'm afraid, my computer double send the first PM, that was wrong (my fault:dunce:), so I send the correct one again today.
Could you please explain what happened to him?

Thanks
Goruk

Hi Goruk,

I've received your qualifier times. I'll process your time (and the others that are also pending) when I do the next promotion round (sometime this week, most likely).

You'll be clear to compete once you've been placed in a division.

And sorry for the Pm Spam:guilty:

The one I've been waiting for;) Not gonna miss this one, even If I have to consume pain killers while driving.

I'm going to be a nervous wreck by the end of this week. :)

I see blue numbers at T9, get super-careful through the last few sections and probably throw away tons of time, then when I get to the end of the straight I've got such tunnel vision that I almost get a heart attack trying to control all the slipping and sliding while braking from 270+ to 100 on a narrow shadowy road! I think I managed 5 clean laps in 2hours of driving just now...

Not going to post my splits but I passed T9 at 5'37.4xx on my last (fastest) one. Back at it tomorrow!

Looks like fun, I think there is gonna be some good times from the Nurburgring specialists. I'm new to the WRS but have heard there are some beasts on this track.

You're having trouble controlling a road car on Racing Tires, but you have splits that would put you at 3rd on the board and solidly in D1?

Well, I've just finished 2 hours of hotlapping...and....

*Deep breath*

I have nothing to show for it. I ruined every single lap - twice at the very end, too. Running around 5:40 pace to T9.

Right, with that abject failure out the way I think I'll go to sleep.

Well, I guess when you put it like that it sounds silly. It's not so much control of the car but more that I lose focus and get sloppy. Mostly it's going slightly wide and dipping the tires in the grass just before a high speed turn (hatzenbach, schwedenkreutz, tiergarten). Now that I think about it it's mostly "section" 1 and 4, the ones not in the qualifier. :sly:

I can post the splits if you want, I just thought that since I don't show on the board yet I shouldn't clutter the thread. It's a lot of fun though, didn't mean it as criticism of the event! (also I think once the D1 guys start putting some time into it they'll beat me handily!) :)

Very First Lap:

T1: 0'47.368
T2: 0'36.867
T3: 0'30.801
T4: 0'52.077
T5: 0'40.494
T6: 0'28.668
T7: 0'51.729
T8: 0'36.072
T9: 0'31.087

Good fun will be had by all! :sly: 👍

I don't know your divisions placement yet, so I am naturally skeptical.

If that T9 simply puts you where you belong according to the qualifier, more power to you.

We shall see...........

WoW, I really cut some time off, still pretty controlled, not loosey goosey yet.

How can you view all the splits on the leaderboard? All I can see is up to split 4, everything else is out of the picture.

Use other browser / Ctrl+A and copy to notepad (for example).
Works on Chrome , not on Internet Explorer..

Doesn't work on IE9.

Chrome works - you get a slider at the bottom

@Millross - I think that's going to be a common theme this week...

Just 2 laps to put some splits on leaderboard, lots of slides and missed breaking points, but it´s going to be a lot of fun (and tyring :scared:)

T1: 45.502
T2: 35.375
T3: 29.487
T4: 51.399
T5: 40.543

What browser are you using? It's ok in FireFox 4 for me. Haven't tried Chrome yet.

Well that sucks, I'm sure not going to install another browser just for that..... guess I'll just copy/paste to notepad.

First clean lap splits: 5:43.852 - I'll post all nine when I get to a proper keyboard.

Google Chrome is a fantastic browser, and a quick download, for anyone considering it. I dont have the patience to wait for IE. ;)

Jumped straight on this after work and found a bit here and there, and lost some here and there :P really need to find consistency over such a long track which is easier said than done... still I think it's the most relaxing WRS in a very long time 👍

T1: 44.191
T2: 33.874
T3: 28.655
T4: 50.011
T5: 38.624
T6: 27.906
T7: 48.927
T8: 33.483
T9: 29.133

Don't think I will close in on Zoky crazy splits anytime this year  Blazin mate

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Hours and hours later I was SURE I finally had a clean lap. There was only one close call in the whole lap, when I slid out of that first patched-up/banked corner... but right before the rumbles show up my back tire is on dirt. I had a 5'42.737 through T9, which would've been pretty good. :( :(

Great combo EDK:dopey:👍 Just had my first run with this one, feeling pretty good with the first few sectors but I can see already that 4-7 ish are going to be the deal breakers for this one for me... that and Galgenkopf leading onto the long straight. Always have had issues with it. I'm either too optimistic on entry and end up in the grass or don't push it hard enough and kill the entry onto the straight.

First splits:
T1: 44.760
T2: 33.952
T3: 29.094
T4: 50.950
T5: 39.380
T6: 27.984
T7: 49.646
T8: 34.048
T9: 29.716

Are there 10 sectors (ie: T10 would be the start/finish) ?

I'm amazed at the T9 sector times..if the next one is the finish, and it's not significantly further away, I'm screwed!

There are more than 10 sectors. T9 is the split before the second carousel. It's too easy to guess laptime if I let you go to one of the other splits. I think there are 12 total sectors, including the last one.

11 I think (Kev says 12) - there's one under the bridge on the main straight which would be T10. Someone who's running at the moment could verify I'm sure

EDIT: Sorry Kev, didn't see your post
