xoxjunkyxox,

Your settings look very even...

Brake Controller: 10 F / 18 R
Spring Rate: 9 F / 9 R
Ride Height: 75 F / 75 R
Shock (Bound): 7 F / 7 R
Shock (Rebound): 6 F / 6 R
Camber Angle: 2 F / 1.5 R
Toe Angle: -2 F / 0 R
Stabilizers: 4 F / 4

I was wondering if you could fill us in on a few techniques on how you drift?

Reason being, the settings you post here look like the front and rear suspension of the car are set up almost identically, which is normally not the case for a drift car...

well, they dont look too bad, but I'd likely want to toss a LSD on it.

I dont really see the logic behind the negative front toe either. All it does is take away from steering response and prevent a sharp turn in. I suppose it will point the outside tire at a larger angle during full-lock countersteering, but I think it's a rather large price to pay for that very small benefit.

btw - gonna try to get this place updated today, lol :sly:
if not today, then over the weekend for sure

big update in progress - stay tuned

ok, caught up to post 700, need a break. Will resume tomorrow and continue to completion.

my technique? I would have to say brake - feint, and power over. Nitrous is equipped to gain quick speed from coming out of a drift or to increase angle and to extend a drift. E-brake is also used to increase angle and to slow down. I like getting the car as low as possible without having the tires come through the fenders. Just for looks lol ...I still have problems finding the best line to take with different cars. These cars are usually tested at 2 tracks Trail Mountain and Apricot Hill.

iJDM14: Sorry about the M3 settings I've been tired because the last couple of days I was pulling Double shifts. I'll post mine soon

Your camber is backwards... There is no reason to set your rear camber higher than your front camber... Flip it around, and it will be just about right... Personally, I would raise the LSD decel, and LSD initial a bit... The way you have your Decel set, your car is bound to just keep sliding when you're off the accelerator... This just makes it harder to keep the car going in the direction you want it to (less control)...

Everything else is up to you... However, I find a softer rear spring (tighter front spring) provides a much more balanced vehicle, and makes initiating drifts easier (especialy initiating by foot brake)...

This RX-7 actually handles good, not a lot of pushing is needed to put this sideways. Don't brake drift a lot, just faint if you don't want to brake and brake if you don't want to faint. I got more settings comin'!

Comments: The car is a bit fatt for my liking, but she drifts like a dream, with my style.. it might be a little slippery for some. Ive still gotta work on the LSD. but this is the bulk of it.

Delphic Reason
Your camber is backwards... There is no reason to set your rear camber higher than your front camber... Flip it around, and it will be just about right... Personally, I would raise the LSD decel, and LSD initial a bit... The way you have your Decel set, your car is bound to just keep sliding when you're off the accelerator... Thanks for the input Delph I rasied my deccel and initial both to 10 and its actually made drifting easier the only quarm i've got with that is that i have 2 carry alot more speed into the drift to et anything out of it and i can full throttle it nearlly all the way round with near little throttle control, i'm tryin to figure out if thats a blessin or a curse lol, and the camber helped aswel to amke it more stable and responsive, i'm still playin with the springs at the mo.

xoxjunkyxox
iJDM14 did you try those M3 settings out? How did they work out for you?

yeah, really, very hard for my style...i think i'll come up with some myself :ouch: it might take a while though
