To be fair, leaving the track, and leaving the ground, can be construed completely differently.
When writing rules, there must be no room for interpretation.
That is true, but the only way that they can "leave" the track in any real way is if they go backwards and toucht the grass, violating another rule.

other day tried this by figuring out on my own got to 275 but needed more room and i hadnt yet toped out the rpm. Hmmm maybe i should go buy the step above the yellow bird.....

what the:confused: so your disqualified if you do a wheelie!? i spent all that work last night to find out that!!!!!?
Don't worry, if you doing it right, even when it do not wheelie, your car will still be fast. an increase of front downforce do not hurt much. bad gearing do, atleast for me.

The CTR-2? It gets rediculously close, and would definately have 300 MPH if it could take 70-shot nitrous, but with 50 it peters out at about 293-294 MPH.

Just tried the 350 option streem Z
...sheesh, that thing has a powerband the size of a coffee drinking, chain smoking midget...

Yeah, its THAT small

i've tried the option stream Z too opendriver, i topped out at about 294,xx mph, but then it seems like hitting a wall for me.......good luck!

My thoughts exactly. I considered changing Rule #2's wording to 'ground' from 'track', but there is no way for the wheels to leave the track without leaving the ground.
But yes, Daan, you're correct. There must be no room for interpretation, therefore I'll change it anyway.

Ground=race track/surface
It clearly states that if your wheel(s) leave the track at any time, your speed will be DQ'ed-no questions asked

If someone does question the rule, their looking for a loop hole, which is not cool:indiff:

Hehe Viper, yes that is a nice rhyme! I don't even know if it was intentional ;) :p

Now I'm thinking perhaps I should force people to copy a statement, much like in courts, that they have followed the rules to the letter... But how unfortunate it would be if I had to go that far.

Keep pushing it, GT4_Rule 👍
(I wish there was some way to abbreviate your name  )

i don't think it was intentional?? i'm planing on pushing some of my speed further, so maybe i can come up with some new speeds in the next time!

viper

Glad to hear, any car in particular? Keep us posted :)

Maybe, just maybe, you'll have a speed from me (Yes, I'll actually post a new speed   ) in a new car. It's at the 'secret project' stage right now, but you'll know soon enough ;)

DE

335.64 mph now in my Nissan R92CP a few mph faster than before, do I have to post another picture?

yes you have to post a picture for every new speed GeorgeMorley.

good luck D.E. for you "secret project" 👍

i'm thinking about all my speeds to improve......

Im sure it woulnd be that much of a hassle to do something like that, Cant wait to hear about you "secret project", I have an odd feeling what it might be though...

THE most frustrating experience ever!!!

LOOK AT THIS:

I wish I had the neon arrow!

Anyone want to offer help for this poor kid who missed 300 my 0.01mph? I used up all my knowledge, I'm stuck now.

bad luck.
i don't know

too bad there is no "almost make it to 300mph" club .........., I did the same with my other car too but eventually graduate .....

adding 0 ballast to the rear ?
try to mess the gearing again ..........

lthiele

bad luck.
i don't know

That was very helpful...

I did put the weight distribution to 50 rear. As well as the gearing. It seems as if 4.360 is the best spot. The car doesn't pull much more near the redline.

I did put the weight distribution to 50 rear. I did play with the gearing a lot too. The car doesn't pull muc more when it reaches the redline, 8000rpm.

OK, but you've said that (almost) twice now :p

My recommendation is simple - DON'T change any settings, just go again and again and again. If it can get that close, it will be capable of 300.02 or .03mph.

Are you sure it has the most pull at redline? some of what I already try don't. some car (forget :guilty:) even has most power in the mid rpm

ok so now i know about the wheelie rule.
it means i've gotta post new speeds for some cars.
so here they are; DE sorry for the extra work. i also found some new settings on the heavenly web.
gt-one 314.87
minolta 335.44
i checked the replay and there's no wheelie. i also sensed that i could steer all the time; if you wheelie you definitely cant.
cheers from tropical holland.

maybe you should try different driving-lines or nos-timing........you can make that lousy 0,01mph!! go for it 👍

viper
Thats what I did to achive my GT1 speed. I have a certian point at where to applythe nos so it runs out right at the end of the back straight. Just keep testing and youll get it...
