That's not a meme, that's good, sound advice. :sly:

BTW, what the heck is a Walama? I guess it was before my time here.

The object being ridden by this banana is a Walama. It is one of many fads to come and go here at GTPlanet. Similar to the Kiwi Bird as well as the now presently popular I'M IN UR fad.

Haven't voted... Basically - If anyone comes up with a good one, I'll smile - If not - I don't really care one way or another...

It's as about as funny and clever as getting your balls caught in a car door.

edit: IM IN UR SKULLZ EATING UR TAUTZ!

Hahahahahahhaahhaah! Isn't that just priceless!

KM.

Actually, I was the one who started using it in the title and location.

Wait a minute. Why do I want people know that I started this fad?

To make you look better... Or atleast feel better.:dopey:

etc...

Don't ask me where it originated from. I have no idea.

Remember Internet 101: Wikipedia Knows Everything (Even 'O RLY')

The phrase "O RLY?" was first popularised on Internet forums in mid-2003. The earliest publicly viewable[1] archives of its use on the Something Awful Forums date from somewhat later, but there are older uses in the registration-only archives. The first image macros were created on the Something Awful Forums, but these did not include [2] the now ubiquitous Snowy Owl image macro.
The original O RLY Snowy Owl image macro is based on a photo taken by nature photographer John White, which was posted by him to the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.animals. The snowy owl image macro was Photoshopped on 4chan as a response to the wordfiltering of the word "repost" to "owl"[3]. The typeface used for the "O RLY?" text is most likely Kabel Book, a variant of the Kabel typeface introduced in the 1920s.
The owl image macro quickly spread to other websites such as Fark and YTMND, spawning many more image macros involving owls. The frequent posting of the O RLY? owl has annoyed some webmasters to the point that the posting of it on some message boards will result in a user ban.

I love that last sentence. Let's implement rule that here! Anyone who posts a fad will get a user ban.

There is no internet without memes. Imagine... all forums would slowly grind to a halt, blogs begin taking over :nervous: and eventually, the internet would end up as a mess of porn, blogs, and corporate websites.

Casio, is this the internet you want? I don't think so.

Why? You don't need to type memes on a forum, if no one did on here these forums would carry on just fine if not better. I don't use member and haven't in 3 years on here, they don't bother me too much normally, but overuse of them is very annoying.

I didn't get it either - I'm too old for the InterLink I guess.....
I read what the definition is in that link a while back. I still don't get it...

'figgus-fiddus!'

Sounds like a type of plant. :dunce:

I think the association with O RLY and owls has something to do with the word Owlery.

The term was used a lot in the harry potter books... its success could've made the association gel together very well when first introduced, leading to the now almost 100% exclusive use of owls with O RLY? macros.

However, here's an exception:

fgsfds is gibberish that you reply with when someone posts something you don't understand.

Yeah, but I still don't get why you would reply that. It isn't amusing or anything of the sort in my eyes. Oh well...

"Urban Dictionary":

You could either say "figgis-fiddis" or "F-G-S-F-D-S", but however you say it, it is the one word that makes no sense whatsoever at all. It all started when someone on 4chan replied to a post with "fgsfds". Oryan (a 4chan user) soon shopped the phrase into a pic of some old dude (talk show host, probably) and now everyone on /b/ posts it. When somebody confuses you by saying something that makes no sense, simply say "fgsfds".

Dude One: "Isn't the TV donut high in fat kazoo?"
Dude Two: "I thought that all your base are belong to us"
Dude Three: "fgsfds"
Dudes 1 & 2: "What the ****?"

Ciao!

Sorry, but I think a lot of the O RLY and related pics are funny. They're so simple but the picture has to be just right. Some make me crack up.

Isn't that exactly what the internet is?

Well, apart from a mass of interconnected switches, routers and servers, that is.

Upon using the search function that I see slapped in just about every new users face, I'd have to say that's the one PunkRock.
