Online Event Lap Times

Each time the online events are updated, everyone wants to know two things:

Which car should I drive?
The first question is pretty easy. Usually there's some speculation over the first few days, and then one or two cars pull ahead as the clear favourites.

How fast am I going relative to other people?
The second question is tougher, especially if you're not driving one of the favourites.

Goal
The goal of this thread is to help answer both questions and support the answers with data. There will be one post per event. Each post will list the fastest time for each car (posted by any driver), so you can see the relative performance of each car. Each post will also contain a list of all posted times for each car, so you can see what kind of times are possible in any car.

How You Can Help
You can help by posting your lap times in the thread for any of the expert online events. Please post lap times set in free run or while leading the race to prevent drafting from skewing the data. I'll check the event threads (hopefully once a day or so), and update the posts for each event with any new times. One of the best things about a community like GT Planet is that we can work together as a group so that each of us can go faster individually.

Ah, brilliant thread Luxy! Reminds me of back in the 600PP Suz and F430 vs GTR days ;)

I've also managed a 1'52.4xx at Daytona Road with the Lotus 111R/Tuned.

I think it's time I and everyone else started to give you fully detailed laptimes with no "xxx", so please don't add my above time until I have a proper one for you 👍

I agree, Synwraith, precise times would be great. To make things easier on everyone, down to the tenth is probably good enough to include in the list (since there are no replays for the online races). I just included all the "xxx" times so things would be too empty to start with :)

Great idea, though it will be a bear to keep updated.

Maybe just make this a dual Event TT where people will be motivated to go hotlap to get on the board?

That would give you precise times too boot.

  2. Which 350Z do you mean?
  3. Can you please be more specific about the lap times? At least to the tenth :)

Nice thread Luxy. 👍 I just realized my time was posted on the GT-R list for Daytona Road...so I thought I'd update my best. New best is 1:47.789 (6-axis) in free air during a race...although I believe Bollocks is still probably a bit quicker, judging by his 9:01.xx race time in the GTR. :dunce:

Tonight I did a 2.00.1XX in the Lotus Evora.
No tuning besides maxing power and dropping the weight which gave a max of 604pp I think.
Im definetly not one of the real quick racers, but with a bit of tuning this could be quite a comsistent car to drive though it lacks it on the straights! :(

1. There was/is an event where the cars are downtuned to 600pp, same as also downtuned to 500pp at Fuji.

just so you know my R8 time was 1:50:969

edit beat that now to 1:50:560.

hit low 49's in draft though

Does anyone have a more specific time in the 1'47s for the Ferrari California @ Daytona? It wasn't totally clear if LR-PR-ProtoX's lap was done the the clear or not. I haven't been able to get into the 1'47s without the draft.
 
Great thread, my time of 1:53 at Fuji was one of them once in a lifetime laps, i was racing bumper to bumper with a great German driver and pushed myself to the absolute limit, i will probably never do a lap like that again, i just finished a great race and done a 1:55:156 in the Evo/X whilst in the lead, that is around my average time.
 
1:54.612 for the Audi R8 at Fuji 549pp (cant get it to 550p), think it has a little to come yet though. i think i will be spending more time at fuji now, its pretty clean/fun and populated with the IF (international forum/enthusiasts)

gives you 550 in the R8. You can't get pp550 with 85% weight.
