Dont worry, our school is fine, one of the better schools actually.
Aviation High.

When the only kids admitted are basically a B standard or above you dont get many dropkicks:)👍.

Still roasting here in Melbourne. Heard the guys in Adelaide didn't get below 31 yesterday.

Goddamn! First day of school roasting, I was displeased to find out such a building had no airconditioning!

Btw legendarynoobcakenumbers, My School > Yours.

And? That makes you somewhat superior does it:grumpy:?

You go to your school for free (Scholarship I believe) and I go to mine for free, your school is equal to mine.

Minimum last night was over 33C :(

But I hear you almost made our 45.5 today (44C I heard on the news)? :D

Wow, what a crap school, considering A/C is so cheap these days.

Melbourne had another terribly hot day today, which sucks because I have to work outside 90% of the time during my shift. The closest weather recorder thingy to my work maxed out at 44.8c.

My day from the time I got home from work to waking up.

06:00pm 42.1
05:00pm 43.2
04:00pm 43.4
03:00pm 44.0
02:00pm 43.7
01:00pm 42.7
12:00pm 41.9
11:00am 40.6
10:00am 39.3
09:00am 37.0
08:00am 33.3

okay, that does it. we're up here in the states freezing out butts off at something like -15 (and in the lower 48, mind), you guys are roasting to death. what say we talk to Canada and the US Midwest and send you guys a couple cubic kilometers of snow for some GOOD automobiles?

Just a little while ago I was remarking on how I felt like I could spend all day outside in the warm 25F (-4C) air. We've had mostly 0F to 10F (-17C to -12C) lately.

If I were where you guys are, I...wouldn't be. I'd be on the next boat/plane/hastily-tethered-raft to someplace more northerly. I'm uncomfortable in 80F (27C) heat (I hesitate to use that word to describe it in this thread). I literally cannot imagine 100+ (38+). Zero experience, zero desire.

Warm? I've never been in anything below 0. 27C lol, try this, almost double:

Alright, Adelaide finally dipped below 30C. All be it for 5 min's and 29.5C.

@ mullen_power13, at least you get a bit of a break at night time with temps below 26C

I'm amazed at this heat wave, that's insane. I've never seen anything like it. It's not everyday you see a thermometer with that sort of temperature reading! Great photo:tup: But this is probably you:mad::irked::trouble:

Or this:

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I just was the victim of a 2 day Blackout. It's like hell, seriously. It reached about 50C indoors (about 122F I think), and think of that for 2 days without any power (so all food in the fridge gone, no A/C, no Fan, no anything). It was just sitting down for 2 days sweating. It's even more annoying knowing that they purposely switched our power off instead to give our power to more important things (Like the Aus Open *facepalm*). Oh well, atleast the power is back and hopefully will be.

Curse you, Australia! Us folks on the other side of the ditch don't want your weather! :p

30°C here right now, but that's not as hot as it has been. About a week or two ago we had 35°, and one guy saw 50° on a 300$ thermometer! Go away weather, I don't want you here :(

So yes, I'm melting.

Wow, I feel sorry for you guys. Around here, a really bad heat wave is slightly over 100F (38C). I couldn't imagine 50C, especially with no AC.

Granted, it's the middle of winter right now here, and it's about 10F (-12C) outside. I'd almost take it for a day or two.

We haven't lost power here yet, thankfully. But yes, it is pathetic that completely cutting off entire towns from electricity needs to be done. The government needs kicking out already; its immigration policies have screwed us over for a long time and this event of there being insufficient electricity just to refridgerate every citizen's pie just takes the cake. An Australian revolution needs to be enacted I say.

Please lets swap weather, this is the 5th day of 43C+ :(

Wow 2 days? a transformer fail or something? I couldn't imagine them just turning off your power for 2 days.

They turned off my power for 45mins (maybe a little less).

An Australian revolution needs to be enacted I say.

Yay for a revolution!

Although something good came out of it. Most traffic lights in the area went out, so they were all dead. It's amazing to see that no crashes happened. We went through a few, everyone is actually concentrating on the road and it's shocking how it just works. It's also a shame they're spending money on solar powered road signs, they just installed about 4 of them literally infront of our house, while there are about literally 10 more signs next to them or close by saying exactly the same thing.

Yeah I have met lots of failed traffic lights, due to the to everyone being so cautious it goes fairly well, I have never seen and accident or even close call in that situation.

I wish all traffic lights were gone. The world would be a better place.

Free ice-cream for me in the heat :)

But it look like it's gonna be a cooler scorcher today.

A Sub-station blew up last night. 700,000 Homes went without power. I was fine though cause I'm awesome.

Turbo Lag's power outage was seperate? (he said two days not last night)

I heard they cut peoples power who lived near train lines so the trains could have power.

Screw them. We live near a station for convenience we're not asking to have our power cut.

Move to the bush like me. Your house might burn to the ground in bushfires, but at least you'll have power.
