It's much the same here, heat waves like right now are very rare but it is not unusual to go a week or two of low-mid 30's once during summer.

Considering Adelaide's Average Tempreature during the last 30 years December, Janurary & Feburary are 27.0C, 29.0C and 29.3C respectivly. Also the average number of days above 30C is more the 9.5, 12.7 & 12.3 respectivly. Also the Average number of days during the year which are 30C+ 54.4 and above 35C+ 19.4.

I am not at all surprised that the weather is hot. It is almost becomeing normal for this time of year to get 40+ degree days.

40C here again... though doesn't seem anywhere near as hot as the last few days...

RAIN TODAY, WHOPPEEE DOOPEY, very cool today:tup:. Lovin it.

We had rain too.

Because we only had 0.3mm last month.

Snowed in, can't got to school. Yipee.

You're just getting used too it I think.

Melting South Aussie reporting in.

Last couple days hasn't felt so bad but apparently it still is 40C, so yeah must be getting accustomed to the heat.

I still don't want to be out in it too long though :p

Cold as hell up here in the rain capitol of the US. It's usually below freezing now, but not a bit of snow. So, in response to the thread title, no. Not in the slightest. Might be in the summer, but not now.

Rained for literally about 1minute here, at about midday. It's something I guess.

My pop who lives in New South Wales said that school got delayed by one week (yes an extra week of holidays) due to heat:lol:.

Actually, my legs (trousers really) are melting. Even though it's snowing heavy outside, the heating at work has broken so i've been given a halogen heater. These things are rubbish, you have to be within a foot of it to feel any heat, so i've got it under my desk. My trousers are beginning to singe and burn my skin but my legs are still cold. Go figure.

It was very hot over here too on the weekend, yesterday was just horrible. I don't think it reached 40°C but the humidity of this region sure make it feels way hotter than it is. Today is a bit better though.

North, Salisbury way.

I have lived there at one point, also at Wyne Vale, Parafield Gardens and some other random place.

We were literally melting up here in Michigan the other day. I believe this weekend was the second time we've been above freezing since I came back from Seattle.

I feel for you, I am south of the city. I know that north of the city is normally a little hotter than the city it's self.

To right, south ftw

I always call the fair north of the city a desert :p

I have a few mates that moved up north due to the cheap new houses being developed, I always notice it is warmer when I go up there.

Oh ok near Adelaide, i'm on the Yorke Peninsula.

Damn, there goes my plans for a GT4 party lol. jks jks. I haven't been to the Yorke Peninsula for a fair while now. I think it that last time I was there the Blue Camry was still the family car. Hmm.

But getting back on topic, still melting. Was a little better today but the study room doesn't have air-con so I nearly died.

ATM, back to some normal temp's, Until Friday comes along. Forcast is for 40C again.

45C here again right now. Several blackouts happening all over the place, no trains, and whatnot. Hopefully people will be smart enough not to use an overload of power again. I mean, atleast don't have 2 A/Cs running, wait on one. :(

High 30C's, to low 40C's here. Played tennis comp this morning, sweat was just dripping off everywhere. It looked like i'd just been in a pool:lol: So i'm melting

Like you said, your house will burn but atleast you'll have power.

Looks like fellow Melbournians survived the heat today... but this time I didn't have the aircon :banghead:. And amazingly, the temperature's going to halve tomorrow... Melbourne is quite weird for that.

Wow, so while you guys are burning up we've had the most prolonged snow is years. Crazy stuff.
