Do the following for every track:
Calculate the fastest time an X1 can run a lap.
Subtract a certain proportion of seconds relative to the lap time.
Make XP and CR = 0 (for everyone in room) if any lap time is less than that time.
Done and done.

This way you will not have to fix this type of glitch as they come up for each track, it will remove much incentive for finding them in the first place, and there will not be a whole slew of such parasitical rooms.

These glitchers are cheating legitimate players out of time and server resources.

P.S. I know PD's employees are too busy to worry about anything like this at the moment and don't blame them if nothing gets fixed for a long time. I do appreciate the swiftness with which they fixed the SSR7 glitch. This is purely an intellectual exercise.

Ever thought that the players exploiting these bugs have more to do with their lives than sit at home grinding? I think you'll find that for some people, time is much more 'precious' when it's spent with family and friends than playing on a game.

There is a rubberband glitch in single player A-spec which gets you plenty of CR while you sleep or go to work or spend time with family. And it doesn't interfere with the online rooms. In fact you have to be present to do the online money glitches, while you can leave the rubberband cruise control all by itself for days without checking on it or having the tv or internet on.

Thanks, Tvensky, for posting this idea in the feedback section so others can vote.

A complete flaw in your reasoning. That will mean that PD will cheat legitimate players. I got cheated from more than 3,000,000 credits with the Cap Limit, I won't cry about it because is not real money. A simple fix will be to check for checkpoint crossing order if you skip one you don't get credit for the lap.

Wow, I must admit that seeing others cheating can be disturbing, but in GT5 the other player's capacity to cheat don't affect YOUR game...
Take a beer, turn on the music on, and enjoy YOUR life...

Word.

Which is why when I get half an hour to play (I only play online really) I hate to waste it filtering $$$$glitch-everyone welcome-except those faster than me$$$ rooms.

Is my time less valuable than everyone elses then as my time is being wasted [filtering] as I have to suffer other people saving time [glitching]?

It's been pointed out a few times that the track glitches do impact other players. A glance at the open lobbies show a huge percentage of "glitching" rooms with no actual racing. It does make it more difficult to find a room.

Either way, a glitch is a glitch and I'd expect them to fix it. A simple system of checking to see if your car hit all the sector markers in the proper order would solve a lot of this. Combine that with some time limit and I expect the problem would be eliminated.

Good idea, I agree! I think PD will do this sometime, but I hope they will do it in GT5. maybe add it to the GTP feedback. PD seems to read it.. pity that GTP dont update "completed" list.. I found over 20 things that are completed and are still active, no votes back just keep voting, dont know why, anyway i took all my votes manually (if I had voted) :(

Everyone who dissagre are players who "I" dont want to meet online ever! Just sayin, dont start a war on me children! :) cheers!

mhhh... let me think... yeah, from that point sound reasonable, but once detected the glitch (i.e. reading here) you can "filter" the events hosted on glitchy-tracks.

Offtopic: I really use my mind trying to figure out how these guys find the glitches hahahaha I has images of cars smashing aaaalllll the walls in aaaaaalllll the tracks :sly:

Another excuse. Firstly anyone who has the time to figure this out doesn't spend much time with family. Secondly the only thing you're doing is getting hell bent on getting a ton of cash and every car. A personal life/game life balance is perfectly capable playing within the rules of the game. Grinding forever or cheating is a choice if you have decided to play GT5 like pokemon to get every car.

According to them yes, your time and game experience IS less valuable.

Based on responses here to other posts, many people have no interest in playing online other than glitching, so they flood the lobbies with glitch rooms to get cars that they don't even use online, messing up the online experience for the rest of us that actually do enjoy playing the game as-is.

I'm not doing any of it, I've never glitched in the game and I'm only at level 29 A-Spec 21 B-Spec. I much prefer enjoying the races and taking photos.

But I don't think people should be looked down upon for glitching is all.

As for time spent filtering, it takes a lot less time to filter races than it does to grind races for credits!

Fair enough as I don't want to race on SSR7, but isn't the new glitch on the Ring? I'd rather not have to avoid my favorite track so some people can get money faster. Either way, regardless of the track, these types of exploits do impact other players. A game shouldn't require players to use a filter to avoid rooms created for the sole use of glitching/exploits. PD needs to get it taken care of.

In any event, this isn't the thread to discuss it.

I agree with you, and I am not looking down upon them either. What I do look down on is the fact they continually need to justify themselves using comments like you mentioned. THEN they throw that justification in the face of players who don't want to glitch and bring up their reasons why they don't like it or want to do it.

Just because they feel like they don't have time to get all 1000 cars so they have to cheat, doesn't give them the right to throw it in the face of the players that don't want to, nor does it make their voice any more important than the voice of the person who doesn't like what they are doing.

How bout we all stop preaching about whats right and whats wrong and either reap the benefits or not ?
I'm probably gonna do this later tonight to get a couple more cars.

Here's a real way to quickly get rid of all money glitches......

REMOVE THE STINKING STUPID FAKE MONEY FROM THE GAME.

Oh, it wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at the OP! I was simply trying to get him to see the other side of the story. 👍 You're totally right, nobody should be able to tell anyone else how to play the game!

Thousands of people have been killed or made homeless in Japan and people are still moaning about their beloved little game. Get a grip, people!

No prob man I understand.

I was just saying the other side of the story too often is used as a crutch when in reality its just what the person wants. Instead its my struggle. I'd say the millions of homeless in japan right now have a far worse struggle than the guys who can't get all 1000 cars.

This glitch will be fixed, PD is more interested on fixing issues like glitches than making a better game with updates. I can´t understand it.

moan moan moan, who gives a ****? I dont glitch, nor do i care if anyone else does. Did you get bullied at school or something?

It's not terribly hard to imagine a racing sim without money. It wouldn't be like GT, but take a look at the PC Sims.

Its good on PC agree, I love ps3 for good "games" :)

Oh, the irony.
