gotta say this race was a complete contrast to last weeks for me. I wasn't expecting to enjoy the races much as I'm not a huge fan of the 'ring gp tracks, but I thought the standard of driving was hugely improved, everyone seemed to be a lot more considered when attempting overtakes. The only issue I had was down to lag on lap 3 of the 2nd race, when knight's car seemed to stop dead going into the final chicane leaving me with nowhere to go. I had massive engine and front wheel damage, so had to pit, and spent the next 12 laps waiting for other people to pit whilst carving out quick laps in tandem with Jimmy! Got up to 2nd, but by that time my tyres were shot, and I was helpless to stop Kamy, Saggy and Frag from coming past in the closing laps. Was still very enjoyable though!
Mcglone, didn't see your issue with Bradders, so can't comment on that, was it an ambitious move or an honest mistake?

It was an honest mistake. I was too far back to pull any kinda of move, plus McGlone was racing James. I just lapsed for a second, missed my braking point, locked up and was a passenger into the rear quarter of his car. If only chicane cutting was allowed ;)

But yeah, like I said after the race, I'm really sorry. And sorry for causing confusion and false hope by sitting in the pits for the last laps haha.

Have to say, these were the first 2 races that I didn't get any damage at all, makes the whole experience alot better!

Shame for those who did tho :(

You know what i not going to bother saying how that race went. I might as well go out every race and cause chaos. Seriously have "given up". Not one race i haven't been damaged, not flipping one!
Uhhhhh

First race you can't blame anyone can't you??
Saw you in the replay missing brake spot and hiting Knight and almost catching me in the process. Didn't realize at the time.

I gotta say good races today.

First one I tried a little Schumacher move on HMS beemer but it didn't work. As usual I arrived T1 not in the lead and managed to get through without any sractches and the hunt was on. Overtook HMS and just gapped the field and took it home in the last couple of laps.

Second race got a good start but had to brake early to avoid slow cars in T1. Managed to avoid incidents and soon was 3rd behind Frag. Tried tu put some pressure as I wanted to save tires. We were riding in the same place as Knight but soon we started to get gapped and I tried to overtake him only to be overtaken right away. So I decided to pit early. Surprised to see the Civics so in front of me as they pitted early. But I knew they would be suffering from tires soon. Overtook Frag on pit strategy and after jimmy let me through and an overtake on the outside of Kick on Dunlop Hairpin I tried to push a bit for Knight's first spot. As tires were slowly going away I settled for 2nd and took it easy... That is until I saw a pink spot in my mirrors. Saggy was coming fast and I had to push hard only to be overtaken in the Schumacher S in the last lap.

Oh did I mention Pole allready??

All in all a good race day. ;)

No i can't and i accept that, but i can't remember how that first race went but someone else hit me but i'm not sure. But the second race was the main issue. I had the inside line one the first corner and somehow got damage. Don't who by then 3rd corner i got pushed out to the side then hit the grass, rear end came out and i tried to corrected it but went into gravel. Pitted and later was racing knight and he was lagging bad and i got damage once again. Then i pitted again then got hit by Bradders.

I think it went like that. Mind you everyone does have mistakes and i'm no different but it's when the same people are involved most of the time you start to wonder.
You must understand where im coming from. Just not enjoying it. All i want is a good race not spending more time in the pits.

Well my time to shine on Monza

I was happy. Unexpectedly qualified 4th and had an amazing start.. Got up to 2nd then along came Kammy. Held 3rd pretty easilly through the race and knew i wasnt in jeopardy of losing my place. Race 2 i had an awful start. Myself and kickstart made it up through the first few corners until revenge of the pink mx5 came for some after i beat them in race 1. Saggy's damaged wheel meant his car was everywhere and just before the schumacher S's i got taken out and got 2 damaged wheels. Done my best to avoid all cars and crawled to the pits.. Then got into a mad dash with Ks to catch up on the pack and had some fun hunting you guys down. After running in 5th i was happy until my tyres gave way. Lost 5th,6th and 7th through stupidity of not pitting, but hey.. It was hilarious haha. I felt like Alonso on Sunday!

Also all i can say is. Turn 1 was suprisingly well done. Being in the middle of EVERYONE in race I was glad to see all cars get through. Can't say the same for race 1 but hey ho!

The problem with cars being damaged is ppeople being too eager to pass.. Do what I do, poounce when you know you can! If you know you're ALOT slower and you are holding the overtaking car up, let him past. It's fine to defend you're position if it is an actual battle but if it isn't worth it just let them past!

Just watched the second race, very entertaining!

Saggy hunting down kamy, kotkas battling with frag and hms and jimmy majorly struggling from around lap 13 and dropping down the pecking order.

Have to say tho, anybody know what happened to kotkas? I viewed him on lap 9 and it he pretty much a brand new set of tires on but he had full front r/l damage, engine damage and right rear damage? Not sure if he lost it on cold tires but I couldn't see anybody around him with damage. He lasted Tull lap 13 then rage quitted.......

Not sure about Kotaks, we were battling, and after the kink coming up to the chicane he just didn't straighten up, and spun sideways, possibly into the wall.

Don't think he rage quit think he got dc'd. Good racing all round last night well done all.

And toyotsupra no there are no available spaces.

Ah ok, he was doing a great job considering the damage he had but with so few laps left I did think it was strange.

So you guys beleive me now that I had honestly 0% tyre left? I was more than over the "Cliff" as they say in F1 haha

In the second race i got only front left wheel damage, once battling HMS, then after the pit stop had some contact with Frag, was not 100% pleased but didn't rage quit, just got DC, then i got mad and couldn't be bothered to return.

This was only put up 3days ago, but already is causing a stir amongst petrol heads

Nurburgring Driving Academy Instructor Andreas Gulden doing a hot lap in what looks to be a Formula 3 car? in the wet!!!!! Most corners involve plenty of opposite lock, especially the carousel

prepare to be amazed!!!!

Is pretty cool,

Think I'd much rather re in a normal racin car tho!

Anyway,

Anybody ran times yet on Monza?

Also, as your probably aware you can cut the chicanes, however I hope this isn't allowed!

Cutting should not be aloud no matter what anyone says.
My times at the moment are at the 2mins could get it into the 1:59's

Im allowing cutting the chicane because there is no way of policing it. If everyone does it then its fair.

McGlone im running the same times as you.

Not going to race at Monza if chicane cutting is allowed tbh - just penalise the ones who cut the chicanes, not just ignore the chicanes because 'people will cut them anyway'... 👎 - atm it's penalising those of us who want to race cleanly and properly.

To do this, we need two or three randomers to sit parked on the chicanes then. If we can sort that I'll be happy.

Why not just be able to report drivers after the race if they repeatedly cut chicanes or deliberately do so? It'll be so blatant if someone does it, you'll be able to either see it happening in front or behind of you, or their lap time will be immense, or you'll be able to see it on the map.

Reporting drivers after the race will sort out any blatant cheating, and a watch of the replay afterwards will make things stand out too. I'd be able to look at the replay afterwards and I'm sure others would be willing to do that too.

Bottom line is just take the race as seriously as the championship is meant to be.
