kamy, out of interest, for your gt3 shakedown, i presume you hit the 1.58 on the gp/f circuit? If so thats not a bad time :-)

Yea I was there when he said that. Also Kamy I told you my averages, what I have so far kept secret is my fastest lap.... All I'm gonna say is that it's close!

Not gonna happen mate, especially with the dissregard for others you showed in the D-max drift tourney thread. How many race series are you trying to enter without actually reading the thread itself?

Did you read in previous pages that we're not letting new people into the tourney?

oh thats why i cant join it ok fair enough

Hmmm... Ok.
Kepping secrets are we?? I won't share my lap times anymore. ;)

On GVE you guys are doing 2 minutes? You're doing something seriously wrong lol. And for some reason last night i thought we had been running 8 laps then 16 haha.. sorry

perhaps the 2mins for grand valley is actually the long course, as opposed to the shortened version?

James, how close are you to the times me and andy, adam whatever his name was..... :-p ;-) ??? Because i know you were struggling to hit the times to start with?

A reminder of how much we can use the chicane curbs:

Notice the outside wheels are in contact with the curbs. You shouldn't cut more than that.

The time I posted was in Nurburgring GP/F. I did it after a quick session with the Honda for today's race.

Argh, I can't make the race tonight - out drinking, and that takes priority sorry >_>

Kamy, you better win. No pressure.

James said that once someone knocked the white blocks of it we we're allowed to cut the chicane fully...
I'm sure all will become clear tonight

That's silly, just race the track line. Because then otherwise it's pretty much cheating.

But without watching everyone's entire replays, It's impossible to check that people aren't going over the green, and under race pressure, it's far too tempting.

I think liberties can be taken whilst racing on your own, but if you're attacking/defending at the chicane you should stick to the correct racing line. Otherwise I have no idea what the other person is going to do and may end up turning in on someone cutting the chicane or hitting the back of someone who's taking the proper line.

And if you think someone did overtake unfairly, please just take a note of the lap you're on and tell James after the race, instead of whining about it :D Haha.

Well yeah maybe but if i was attacking someone i would dive back then attack on next corner than to go wide at the chicane and lose pace. But that's me.

....
This is why he said to allow it, if everyones doing it then no one can complain, makes perfect sense...

Fine.

Can't be bothered.

Thats just BS.
You should aim to do the turn as it should be. It's a short race. It's easy to spot people cuting the corner. Hell I saw it in the Race 1 replay easly, where almost all drivers were cutting really bad. And I mean REALLY bad.

I've always been against the idea of cutting it. It's not hard to go round the corner correctly without hitting the blocks. No doubt the blocks will now be deliberately moved to gain advantage by cars who are running away at the front or trying to catch up.. I spoke to james a while ago about it and he said they use the whole kerb on DTM etc but.. I think it brings an unfair advantage to those not using it.. Cars in groups battling for position will use it less than those racing alone which passes them a little favour

I think it shouldn't be allowed. In Rounds 1 and 2 there was even ppl cuting big time through the grass. I say we don't allow it. I'll review the replays if needed.

Thank you!!

That's the point im trying to get across. It wouldn't happen in any other good event so why should it be allowed here?

Also for the qualify we need someone to check that corner in case anyone is cheating.

The reason I said to allow it is that it saves someone monitoring it. Cutting across the green bit is acceptable IF THE OUTSIDE WHEELS ARE ON THE CURB cutting across the grass is NOT allowed. Clear?

And before anyone asks the room will be open just before 8 and qualifying starts at 8.40 with the sprint race starting at 9. same time as it is every week and same number of laps for each race

Also guys if anyone ha any issues during the race Kamy is also an official so he can make decisions on penalties etc.

Exactly. And by cutting it you're turning an overtaking opportunity into a single file, fast chicane. Which isn't much fun.

If you guys wanna waste time watching everyones viewpoint for the whole race then go ahead, all I'm trying to do is save you some time...

If any blocks get moved in qualifying then happy is probably what i wont be...

You know what i not going to bother saying how that race went. I might as well go out every race and cause chaos. Seriously have "given up". Not one race i haven't been damaged, not flipping one!
Uhhhhh

Soo close to retiring from this series.
