Renown Tuning Unleashed ™

hey Iceman, sorry i didn't get a chance to post the drag tunes yet, i have been real busy at work and at home..but i will try to post them tonight.

hey man its no problem. we had softball games last night ( work team ) so i didn't even get a chance to play when i got home so its all good. i appreciate the help. this thread and all of t-12's tunes have helped me enjoy this game a lot more. the career is a cake walk but when you get to online you better have a great setup and know how to drive to enjoy. will t-12's tunes and now your help on the mile and drag it should bring my enjoyment of the game to full circle.

the thread has been a life saver and thanks to everyone who has contributed to it!

Hey t-12 did you ever post the bmw z4 tune as i don't see it and the other question i have is this is there a way to get the same results from your tunes with a stiffer suspension setup? What I mean is it seems that your suspension setups are relatively soft for most of your tunes I was wondering can you do a tune with stiffer settings all around and get the same types of grip?

Hi Terronium, I wanted to request a tune for the Works Converted Lotus 111R, or the Exige S, because there aren't any up and I'm sure the community would greatly appreciate it, just as much as I would. Also a Works Converted Dodge Viper. The Viper must be tamedd lol.

Don't feel rushed to do so though. Just when you see fit. :)

Thanks,
Xenovora

The M3 works is the most "solid" car so far. That car is on magnetic rails going straight but cornering is another matter. Very easy to make mistakes on the exits. Its not the car I saw around Nurburgring 24H :D

Not easy to drive with a G27 though because the steering lock is low but easily solvable. Still it doesn't make it the car I THOUGH I would find. I have to get my hands on the GT AMLS we win in endurance championship to compare (almost there :) )

I understand why it was a pain to tune after driving it so extra kudos for this tune. This one is a keeper and also a beautiful car.

About the GT-R (R32) Works with T-12 tune is a perfect example how a car should behave in my book. Neutral in every way. A blind (wo)man can drive that car. The easiest car to drive in this game and obviously, dull. Its also why kids use it online.

The GT-R (R35) works its nothing like the predecessor(s). Too much power? I found out I like it better with the sway bars (F4-R2) and it took me a good 30m to get used to it after lapping around Suzuka with the R32 and R34 for a few hours - R34 its just an R32 with more power after a bit of tuning. As someone said, with great power the walls are nearer :D

And talking about the R34 makes me wonder why on earth no one asked for a works tune? The car its great stock but its not the r32... I'm not the guy too talk about tuning but if I noticed great improvements by doing basic stuff imagine what a proper tune can do (hint, hint) :D

My spreadsheet has been updated. Apologies for slower updates lately -- I've moved on from S2U and don't check this forum as much as I used to.

I've created a slightly updated version of gregp's spreadsheet. It does need further work (I've only added 3 cars so far due to work constraints), so if anyone else is interested in helping let me know and I'll add you as being able to edit.

Woah... that's quick.. 1:13.661 (Q+) for that Audi R8 4.2 FSI Quattro, Version 2 "B-Class Special"? Is that the fastest/most capable B class car?

Also, I have a question, to anybody. What makes the Nissan GTR (R35) Works converted version(2037) have a higher PI rating than the Nissan GTR (R35) SpecV Works converted version(2053). And what was the reason for it getting such a better lap time in comparison to the SpecV? The stats on it are all lower... top speed is wayy lower, and the braking/accel/handling are all below the SpecV. I am confused. Is this car capable of running/overpowering the Apollo, F1, and Bugatti? For record lap times? Why don't I see people using this car... . Would appreciate any feedback!

Thanks,
Xenovora

can I get that bmw z 4 tune please t-12?

You've already asked me for it once, asking three times over isn't going to get it here any quicker. When I have the time to do it properly, I'll do it. Until then I'm focusing on tunes I can't bang out with relative ease. Anything that shows signs of having to be worked at gets placed on the back burner.

Ok I didn't know and wasn't trying to bug you i just remembered you said you were going to post it and i didn't know what happened to it as I didn't see it when you did the evo post.

Don't worry about it, I just don't like to rush tunes unless, as I said, I can crank them out easily (meaning the car is really, really easy to work with).

T-12, your R8 LMS tune served me well until yesterday 👍

Now I need a tip.

Yesterday I was racing online and at some point around Autopolis I lost it while fighting for 1st place. I had to slow down and even concede (gone wide) 2nd place by lap 3 out of 4.

I noticed the car oversteering on right handlers so I call the telemetry at the end of second lap (start/finish straight) and the left rear tire was always orange/yellow (outside to inside) going red on those right turns. Obviously I had to slow down to finish the race.

I was using the R8 LMS but this probably happens with others. What can I do to my car tunes to avoid this on this particular track?

If the shoulders of the tire aren't heating up evenly then it could be a pressure problem (unlikely, as I honestly doubt tire pressure affects anything at all) or, and this is more likely, a camber problem. Perhaps the load going into corners is uneven.

I noticed the same behaviour in a BMW CSL Gr.5 (Legends) around Willow Springs.

It has a similar corner (but to the left) which kills the right front tire. This one took 5 laps though but could go a bit further.

I'll up the tire pressure on the R8 and do a few laps around that track. I think tire pressure has MAJOR impact on car behaviour and also how much the tires last.

I can't mess with camber settings because quite frankly I'll just ruin it (i'm almost sure) :D.

Tracks with steep corners like Willow Springs, Laguna, Bathrust and Autopolis will be a problem for tuners. If only camber and/or tire pressure could be adjusted individually 💡

Thanks.

I get the hint.

Got a few tunes to upload and then I'll be off the radar for a bit. Actually, let me clarify: I'll still be around posting but not in this particular thread as I'm playing less and less now.

What the hell happened here? I was supposed to post some tunes before taking a vacation (from this thread and it's perilous, never-ending duties) and I haven't uploaded a thing!

I fell off the wagon. :P

The target for the day is 10 tunes, 12 if there's not much of a hassle.

Everything, bar the R34 Works is entirely new, I just forgot to post the R34 up...had it finished a week ago.

BMW E36 M3, Version 3 Works Converted

T-12, you have already posted a Version 3 of this car Works Converted on page 36 of the thread.

The OP link points to tune on that page too.

You may want to change this to Version 4, so as not to confuse people, the PI is the same.

First thing that caught my attention they are different is because the tire pressures for this recent tune are much lower than the ones page 36.

Thanks. This is why I continually ask whomever is requesting a tune to check before requesting it; here I was thinking I hadn't even done a v3 or a works converted version of the E36.

Thanks again.
