As the name suggests, this handsome beast is a homologated model of the normal Commodore SS, and will be used as a base car for a Commodore V8 Super Touring Car in the pipeline. But sticking with this GTO 500, while it keeps the nice leather seats and hefty weight, the power has been given a nice boost so it now has 500 torques and as near as makes no difference 500hp, hence the 500 in the name. Obviously with all this go and the portly weight, the suspension has been refined for the grinds of trackday driving. Think of this then, as a Aussi take on how an M5 should be. It's to grip and go, no questions asked.

Notes: Front tyre wear may be an issue, but other than that, there isn’t much I can think of to fault this car. (No, I’m not blowing my own horn either). Want more fun? Knock it down to sport mediums or sport hards. It’s still calm, but more hoon-able. Much more.

Note 3: Applying 77.6% power limiter will let you score easy wins in the European Hot Hatch seasonal races. Make sure to adjust the transmission final drive for the faster tracks. Also Racing Soft tires can be used with no adjustment for the fastest wins. Has truly phenomenal handling on RS tires.

Note 4: You can put Sports Hard tires on this car, change the transmission final drive to 2.000 and give your Bob's the keys for the 500PP Online B-Spec challenges. Requires little coaching from you to garner easy wins there.

Nope…I think you've pretty much got it. Just to check, did you update ACSR's list with his Ford GT on SH tyres?

Pontiac, Tempest Le Mans GTO '64, "Purple Goat"
Another car that ole Harvey Wallbanger tested for the Clueless Tunes - Classic Car Shootout. The "Goat" was the brainchild of John Delorean who at the time of its birth Pontiacs General Manager. He wished to build a high performance Pontiac that hadn't started life as a race car or sports car. This is one of the first of what we now call "Muscle Cars", and along with the Ford Mustang released the same year helped set off the American Automotive wars that saw increasingly larger and more powerful motors fitted into what, at that time in the U.S.A. were classified as small and mid sized cars. This first "Goat" was simply an upgrade option on the Le Mans, due to its popularity, and Pontiacs competition with other U.S. manufacturers for this sales segment, it later became its own separate model. Ole Harvey here took this beautiful specimen with under 2,500 miles on it and after giving the engine a quick refresh he bolted on a high flow intake and exhaust package to help this 6.3 litre Tri-Carb equipped beast breath better. Then while the body went into the paint shop, the Wallbanger set about giving it a modern suspension that would help it corner with the best of them.

I have one tuned up at 550pp that I can put on share when I get home if you'd like to try it as well. It just missed my grand reopening a while back.

Mercury Cougar ‘Caspian Sea Kitty’

This is the Caspian Sea Kitty, a fairly gentle to drive muscle car that dances through corners in a manner that would leave its bigger and more renown brothers at Ford gasping. So don’t be scared, while it may look like Al Capone styled it, it’s really as gentle as the spring breeze to handle. And for what the old American chassis is, it goes like the wind.

Tune above edited because I'm a thick turd who can't realise that a muscle car that is so light for its size cannot possibly run stage 3 everything with a turbo when the car is only to be supercharged. :ouch:

Jensen, Interceptor MKIII '74 "GT500 Six Pack"
When talking about "Muscle Cars" most people will think of the American cars like the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger and not an English car. English cars are typically thought of as either small sports cars Like the Lotuses, MG's and Triumphs or Luxury Grand Tourers like the Aston Martins and Jaguars. Jensen Motors was a small English manufacture that started building luxury GT cars in 1950. In 1962 Jensen Motors who were leaders in building beautiful GT cars with fiberglass bodys decided to switch motors for their new model the CV8 which derived its name from the 6.3litre Chrysler V8 engine that was chosen to power it. In 1966 Jensen introduced a new model to replace the CV8 and revived the name of their first GT calling it the Interceptor. The body was designed by the Italian coachbuilder, Carrozzeria Touring, and in a switch was done in steel instead of fiberglass. Much of the rest of the car was a carryover from the CV8 although they moved to the larger 7.2litre Wedge Head engine that was so famed for its potency in such cars as the Dodge Challenger 440 R/T. The top of the power pile for this motor from the factory was what was known amongst "Muscle Car" fans as the "Six Pack" which featured 3 two barrel carburetors to insure maximum fuel delivery to this monster, and Jensen offered this option in their top line Interceptor as part of the SP package. Sadly Jensen Motors ceased production in 1976 and they were never a large volume manufacturer so many are unaware of this gorgeous English car that combined the beauty and luxury of the finest English and Italian Grand Tourers with the heart and soul of an American Muscle Car. There have been several attempts to revive Jensen Motors and the Interceptor in the years since and now Harvey Wallbanger and the Outlaw Motorsports Garage proudly presents its own revival of this timeless classic naming it the "GT500 Six Pack". While the intake and exhaust have been tuned for better flow and 100 extra HP the biggest change is with the updated suspension package that enables this civilized monster to handle the curves like sports cars that are half its size. Now ole Harvey invites you to climb in and listen to the wonderful music of nearly 500 Horsepower as you cruise the roads of Monaco, London, Rome and Madrid in style!

Note 3: Handling remains good with any tire selection from Sports Hard to Racing Soft making this a good choice for the B-Spec Online Seasonals as well as the A-Spec Seasonals.

Note 4: For the European Hot Hatch Seasonal remove the ECU, all Intake and all Exhaust upgrades and set the Power Limiter to 98% to reach 470PP. You'll also want to adjust the transmission Final Drive to 2.000.

uses four gears at Monaco, it has five but I saw no discernable
difference in speed with shorter gearing at this track. So in
bootleggers terms I guess it has 4 on the floor with a 1/5th under

So after completing the "Purple Goat" ole Harvey Wallbanger got the urge for some serious speed from a classic American "Muscle Car" to run in the Stars and Stripes seasonal races. Luckily for ole Harvey and much to Onboy's dismay the "Purple Goat" had an untouched sibling sitting in the back of the Wallbanger's garage. Thus the "Storm Goat 727" was born.

Should display an indicated top speed of 222mph in upper right corner.

Hey! No fair! The Judge is running the stock exhaust and SS tyres! :grumpy: But yea, I'll be sure the Judge shows your barbaric muscle goat some good old fashioned tyre smoking justice. :dopey:

Edit: Wait…it only has the SS tyres that are different from yours, otherwise, it's the same in terms of parts.

Ok, not that I'm scared, and nor is the Judge, but I'm not in the condition to give it the final checkup, so the Judge will be released later on. With some more modern friends…hint, one was a Corvette. :D
 
Hey I just wanted to drop by and say that I tried your Mach 1 tune and had a blast with it. So much so that I went out and immediately tuned an Interceptor to your specs. I took it to the European Hot Hatch seasonals (specifically London) and instantly fell in love with it! It still has an aggressive feel to it without the 'axe-murderer' insanity that the Jensen always had. I particularly like how it eats the curves, being able to push it right to the edge without losing control, and it shifts beautifully too. I can't wait to see how it handles online :).

When another Pontiac GTO comes up in my UCD I'm going to try the Storm Goat next.
