Well I think beyond personal preference when rating stuff. I rate based on how good I genuinely think something is, rather than rating on how much I personally enjoyed it.

It's almost as if some people in this thread are oblivious to the concept of guilty pleasures.

I enjoyed Midori Days and Pet Shop of Horrors, but I knew that they were bad, so I rated them low and I don't recommend them.

Things I rate high are things that I enjoyed and also think are genuinely good, which means I think that other people would enjoy them, thus I'd absolutely recommend them.

How much I personally enjoyed a show does go into what I rate it out of 10. I mean, Bleach has oh so many flaws, but it still gets that 9/10 from me (Though the Fullbring arc is close to bringing it down to an 8/10.).

Again, everyone's rating system, and what goes into their recommendations is different. It's all subjective.

Also speaking of guilty pleasures, here's one and it's sequel (I read this back when I still read scanlations like two years ago.). I still wish this manga would get licensed.

I remember watching Reflection after T&B (series was first for me) and thinking it (Reflection) was awful. You're saying you liked it???

See yaywalter, see what I'm talking about, and why I don't recommend it despite it getting a 10/10 from me, and being my 9th favorite anime (The TV series is 8th, T&B 2nd.)?

Anyway, yes I did like it. I watched it last month when NicoNico livestreamed it (I had to use the timeshift feature as I was in school while it streamed.), and I did like it. It actually made me cry even.

I do acknowledge I'm in the minority when it comes to my opinion on Reflection. Different tastes as I say.

Yes I know it is. I have known for quite some time why they have all these moe shows targeted towards the hardcore Japanese otaku (Again, their definition.).

No... I guess I'll have to deal with it and hope that K-On! gets picked up by someone else and keep all the voice actors, especially Cristina Vee.

If it does get picked up, along with the movie, and season 2, I suspect they'll use the same actors.

I best pick up K-On! while I can, and see what the hype is about.

It does, the clip he wanted to see dubbed is from season 2 which is unlicensed.

Also, at the otaku comment, I don't know what to say considering many otaku (I'm just a small one these days.) do like dubs here.

I will re-state what I stated a couple, I think hundred, pages ago. If I wanted to read, I would get the manga, which I am not much of an otaku in that aspect. The dub is what keeps me from going crazy.

Liking dubs, and not liking subs doesn't make you less or more of an otaku. It's after all just personal preference.:)
