You might find yourself in for quite a ride. While it does have plenty of fanservice, it had a great story in my eyes, though you may not share the same thoughts.

Not awesome, some messy CG/cell type integration, story sometimes a bit jaunty, but only 12 eps, quick watch, fast pace, +1 to folks who are into ID and WM for theme. Also, OP sounds very much like something from WM, but no connection as far as I can tell.
