Just like the genesis or tiburon, I have no doubt it will happen. Luckily subby isnt big here in Louisiana. Down here mustangs and camaros still hold plenty of that market.

Except the Tiburon was discontinued long before the Genesis was released.

Well in good ol' herpes land Staten Island, the Genesis has become the ultimate douche car. 3 series and G37's can be added to that too. I honestly never see guys in TC's here. Subaru has absolutely no douche popularity here so the BRZ definitely won't but the FR-S could be. With snow, those FR-S will be wrapped around trees in no time.

The Scion Brand is not present in Japan. They show up with the Toyota badge and will cost a little bit different because of. The names are slightly different as well. XB is bB.

I know. That's what I was getting at.

My guess = $21-22k starting price. That gives them some leverage to talk people into a tC if they're looking for something cheaper.

The tC will still sell well for a few basic reasons:

1. It's pretty affordable considering what you get
2. It has a usable back seat that even I can fit into comfortably, with headroom no less
3. A lot of Americans are ignorant, and will choose FWD over RWD in climates where snow is a near-certainty

If you think about it, a $2000 is a pretty reasonable step-up to keep the models separate. It is a value that isn't unreasonable for those who have the ability to shop, but keeps out the riff-raff otherwise to protect sales of the car. With a number that low, however, I'd have to wonder how many Toyota is anticipating selling.

No doubt in my mind they'll sell these things like crazy.

This will probably be a limited run car with a 10,000-15,000 yearly production number. I'm just wondering if the numbers are equally divided among the 3 MFRs.
I doubt it will sell much better than the Genesis coupe when it launched.

Indicators on mine never seem bothersome, rather helpful actually. Usually Im not really watching the tach, luckily no sounds on mine. That said, since this, is and a brz would be a daily driver some kind of audible redline indicator would get much use any way.

I really hope that's the red the 2011 wrx's use and not the scion red. I hate scions colors. WRB or OBP will mot likely be the most popular colors for it.

But this... I hated it when I first saw it on the 2011 STi, but I love it on the BRZ.

Subaru Red. WRB and DGM will be top sellers, probably.
Though just like with the wrx, the silver will offset the dark wheels nicely.

Yeah didnt it say somewhere that the BRZ will have a unique blue that you cant get on the Scion.( assume its WR Blue or some variation)

If you go to the Scion FR-S site you can see the colors it comes in, they look differnet then the colors on the BRZ.
Also woundn't the BRZ have Subaru paint colors and FR-S have Scion panit colors?

Yes they would be different on the subaru because there not gonna be (all the same colors)

They may share some colors, but also have a few non-shared colors.

For instance, Subaru uses Lightning Red on the WRX and STi now. I'll just use that as a "shared" color.

Scion has Lightning Red and Hot Lava
Subaru has Lightning Red and World Rally Blue

Scion does not have World Rally Blue
Subaru does not have Hot Lava

How many colors are left for Scion to use? :sly: Third grade math :)
