Yeah, I know. I would be cool with 16s or 17s but with normal/fat tires instead of the car being so slammed like that. I think that looks retarded.
I doubt I'd even want any kind of sticky/fat street tire. I would seem that it would be more fun at the track with moderately grippy tires.

eSZee
2008+ STI is vf48, wrx is vf52. The vf39 went away some 5-6 years ago.
There have been no US subies with twin scrolls.
The vf42 is the one from the s205 sti right?

Yea, the vf42 is from the s205 and the other s20_ that I can't remember the last digit of.

.27 Cd is pretty solid. That's a little bit better than my car from 1991, except that mine has a smaller frontal area. If Gran Turismo is anything to go by, the Turbo II goes 10mph faster with one less gear and a couple more horsepower.

I wonder if the RA is any indication of what basic models will look like coming from Scion? I'm guessing the cheapest version of the Subaru we'll get in the US will be the S.

Those photoshops look pretty sick. I can't wait to see the tuners get their hands on this thing!

Does the Subaru come with a black dash? Would be perfect if it had black, and the white tach from the Toyota.

Where/ There's some silver things but the rest looks like light reflecting off cheap ass hard plastics.
Nothing a can of plastidip won't fix.

You failed to include the part where the guy THINKS the highlighted areas are soft touch materials.
Also, not what OMNIS is talking about.

That's the part I quoted:confused:

I dont see a white tach(tachometer) in the BRZ.

Personally not a fan of soft touch... Kids or dumb friends can easily make ST look horrible quickly.

Dude the whole entire face is that silver/white. You know, the airbag panel.

Never mind.
I misread it. I thought you said that the BRZ had a white tach and silver dash in those pic.

Again, my ideal would be to carry over the white tach from the Toyota to the Subie. The Subaru, however, has that white or silver airbag panel that I think would look better if it were just black. Either black leather or piano black.

But that's just me.

So you figure they're marked down by about $6,000 in the states. That puts the FR-S right at around $20k. Maybe lower, but I doubt they will undercut the tC which starts at 19.

My guess = $21-22k starting price. That gives them some leverage to talk people into a tC if they're looking for something cheaper.

What do the other Scions cost in Nipponland?

The subie prices in japan vs USA are included in my post a couple pages ago.

What was interesting to me was that we were able to get the stripper with steelies for 2 million yen. While a strict conversion to USD put that at 25k, a comparison to WRX and STI prices in Japan tells a different tale. The WRX is about 2.8million yen, and the STI hits around 4.2 million yen. That makes the relative cost of a BRZ base quite a bit less than the WRX. Quick check of SOJ pricing puts that at the same cost as a 2.0i n/a with AWD, or a 2.0 sport (n/a) with fwd.

Tc will be dead within 2 years of brz release... Maybe not true but thats my prediction.

tC, car of college-age douches everywhere. I just hope the FRS doesn't become the next douche car.

Just like the genesis or tiburon, I have no doubt it will happen. Luckily subby isnt big here in Louisiana. Down here mustangs and camaros still hold plenty of that market.

This. I've already gotten an eyeful of those the last two years.
