LFA convertible?
Yep, it was a concept that I believe is now going into a very limited production.
Drift Spec GT86's. The Falken cars are always gorgeous.

^ I call it 'ghetto journalism'.Wonder how many looks did you get taking those pictures like thatI could easily make you a logo you could just paste on those and save you the trouble
Good pictures nontheless.
What was interesting to me was that we were able to get the stripper with steelies for 2 million yen. While a strict conversion to USD put that at 25k, a comparison to WRX and STI prices in Japan tells a different tale. The WRX is about 2.8million yen, and the STI hits around 4.2 million yen. That makes the relative cost of a BRZ base quite a bit less than the WRX. Quick check of SOJ pricing puts that at the same cost as a 2.0i n/a with AWD, or a 2.0 sport (n/a) with fwd.
eSZeeYup. They've shown the BRZ STI concept a few times already.
But that's a completely different car. It'll probably be just a passed down simple ground effects kit like how the STi front lip is an option on the WRX now.
eSZeeNo, it's a BRZ with added parts. What do you think the STI WRX is to the WRX? Only with the BRZ, the power gains, if any, will be minimal.
There is no front lip option on the WRX. It's an accessory. Is it a surprise the lip from an sti fits a wrx, which is identical exterior wise(other than wheels/badges)?
But what I'm getting at is you don't go into a dealership buying a WRX with an STi performance package. You buy the WRX STi.
The STI concept takes the car’s performance a step further with custom aerodynamics, larger 18-inch wheels, a light weight carbon fiber hood, custom exhaust and a carbon fiber roof – further lowering the car’s center of gravity.
KentActually, many of the Sti parts available from Subaru are available as packages the dealer can make on their own.
It depends on the dealership and what's been selling, but to find Sti sport packages on the WRX (usually with things like sports exhaust, new wheel/tire combo, and maybe a short throw tranny) are not entirely unheard of amongst buyers.
Problem with that is you quickly start ramping up costs and before you know it you may have come close to building an Sti in price but end up without some of the big Sti selling points.
Btw, I love the idea of Sti and TRD selling kits on these cars... The base car is very appealing to me and I'm looking forward to what kind of tuning can be done. Carbon hood and roof? Yes please. Sports exhaust and bit more power? Sign me up.![]()
OmnisCan anyone photoshop some fat tires on it? Kinda like the Hakosuka look...
I'm not talking about the simple stuff. I'm talking about things like the suspension upgrades and the twin-scroll turbo. Those aren't things you can just check the box off on when orderng a regular wrx.
The 86 is a road. You could have chosen a Hybrid, or a Luxury Sedan. But, you chose theroadof the86and aboutto embarkon a journey.
Not just to drive your life, but to challenge your way through. To choose not a quiet solidarity in a cabin, but one filled with orchestra of engine noises to entice your senses.
Even if you have arrived, to feel you must continue the challenge and keep driving.
To choose a life, a road where you are possessed by so much passion, that you spend your days off, pouring your soul into the life.
If you choose so as I will, then we shall meet at the end of this road.
I wonderwhere your passion will take the 86. The pleasure starts, now…

Omnis, you probably wouldn't be able to fit anything less than 16 inch in real life because of brake clearance.
The VF37, VF38, and VF42 are twin scrolls. I thought the VF39, which is what's in the current STi's, was a twin scroll, but it's a single.
