I reached second prestige today. Got there in 2 days and 10 hours. First prestige I chose to unlock assassin and second prestige I chose the ACR, my favorite gun. I will choose dead silence next and blind eye afterwards. I am just wondering what perks or guns you guys unlocked first while prestiging?
 
Do we get a token for every prestige or is it like custom classes and every other prestige? Just wondering. This prestige thing is new to me because in cod4, the last cod I played, I stayed at 5 star 55 to get the gold guns. The reason I chose assassin and then the ACR is because I pretty much only play hardcore search and destroy and those are my go to perks so to speak. I am nearing 1000 kills with the ACR.

Every prestige you get a new token, but you don't unlock extra custom classes, I'm at the 5th prestige, and I still have 5 custom classes. :lol:

Cod4, I've got the golden m60, and the Dragunov, I think it is. Maybe one of the best games I ever played.

Me on ps3, 4th prestige level 70, lol you know me toyota don't play mw3 as much because GT5 is way better IMO. Im a racer type guy, but I enjoy call of duty, I really want to know a release date for the DLC #1, anyway my thoughts for when PS3 elite members will get it and the DLC season for PS3 Elite users.

1. Xbox Elite members get DLC #1 on January 24th
2. PS3& PC Elite members get DLC #1 on February 24th, because of Activision's contract with Microsoft so Xbox members get it a month early.
3. PS3& PC Non-Elite members get DLC#1 sometime in April, because xbox non elites will get it sometime in march

Xbox DLC Season: Jan-Sep
PS3&PC DLC Season: Feb-Oct.

I wholeheartedly agree with you about cod4. The hardest gold gun for me to unlock was the ak because the M14 imo is the worst gun in that game lol, or maybe it was just me. I think I had about 17 days or so played in that game. Not sure why I picked up mw3 and not the others but I'm glad I did. I just wish that they made you work for gold camo in mw3 like they did in cod4. Just doesn't seem like an accomplishment to get gold in this game to me.
 
I only use HEX camo, or none, I really don't care about it. :lol:
I'm racing to prestige 10, and then I will continue my hunt for titles and emblems.

That's exactly what I did too but I went ACR first then assassin. I also unlocked the FAD because you get it so late in the prestige that you don't have a chance to level it up before you prestige again.

ACR is full of win!

I did an extra class with my MW2 token and then the FAD and MP7 following that. I haven't bothered with Perks because I can hit level 20 so fast it doesn't matter as then I just run Specialist.

As for the ACR, it is all right but I prefer the MP7 to it. Similar recoil levels while one lets you move faster with better hipfire and ADS times.

There where a couple buds playing, saying "Modern Warfare 3: Team Death-match on Mission", "Modern Warfare 3: Kill Confirmed on Hardhat" While I'm stuck confused.

I never used to really use the ACR, now though I'm really realizing just how good it is. It's like a freaking laser haha
Surprisingly my first golden gun was the CM901, followed by the PP90m1, scar and striker lol

Man the teams I get sometimes. We lost so hard (Domination game) and I think its obvious why...

I dont really like Ground War because there's too much commotion and people to compete with for kills. i usually just stay on the mecernary playlist.

I think that commotion and the number of people helps to get kills. I tend to get 40+ kills per Domination game and around 20 to 30 in TDM and KC when playing in GW.

This class has a bit to do with it though.

I usually get a higher k/d when I play gw. It's more exciting too

This is a decent part of it. Having a team that also doesn't push too much in Domination games helps, as you don't have to worry about the enemy spawning behind you.

Also, Specialist is a no brainer for this, along with a Silencer so you can hide when things get a bit ugly. Also, I tend to avoid camping much, or even staying in a spot too long as you'll get rushed by the numerous angry people on the opposing team after a while.

EDIT: The most rage inducing part of this game, and it is regardless of game mode, is how people play. I've seen no less than a few dozen times today where the enemy will be taking one of our points in Dom, and I can see on the map a guy on our team about 30 feet away who doesn't do anything. Same with KC, I've watched countless people walk within feet of tags but not get them. I am finding myself just leaving games when I get these kind of teams, simply because it is beyond frustrating to play.

That's the big problem with GW and Mercenary. It would appear that people play those modes because they A) want tons of kills in GW or B) don't want to go up against a clan or group of people who know what they're doing. That's what irks me to no end about the inclusion of DOM in Merc now. People just don't care about objectives, otherwise they'd just go play those modes. Sure, every now and then you get some people who will actually play right and try to win, but most of the time it's people just going for kills. I have to have the most points captured accolade in half of the matches I've played and I'm constantly among the top 3 or 4 in total score. That's with sometimes 10+ kills less than people behind me.

Yesterday I encountered a guy in Dom on Interchange. He just camped in the taller grass back by point C, the one by the bus and cargo containers. We had control of C and another point, so I was just running around defending and I ran back to check on C. Dude was prone in his spot, focused on covering people coming from his right. He wasn't more than 10-15 steps away from C, and other than me no one from my team was even in that half of the map. We were getting destroyed so it wasn't like capturing it mattered, but all he cared about was getting kills.
 
MOAB #8 on Hardhat Kill Confirmed (second on that map) using a picked-up PP90 Silenced and some other silenced guns (including UMP w/ Rapid Fire and Skorpion).

The Skorpion is ownageness, btw. More powerful than the MP9 with just a bit more recoil 👍
