Well, everybody can moan about moabs all they want, but I am proud of myself getting 1 with my trusty Barrett.

3 MOABs in 3 hours? There was someone who had two in the same game I was in last night and a MOAB in almost every game after that. I had never been involved in a game that had a MOAB before infected showed up. Apparently the first infected is chosen at random. Hmm. Of the 8 games I played I was the first infected 4 times. Not fun on Dome where everyone just goes up onto the catwalk and waits. Infected is terribly boring even when you're winning.

LOL. what map was it on that he got 2 moabs?
And I agree, it is boring.
What's funny is that it's almost impossible to lose Hahaha

Dome. If you get up on the catwalk and sit just above the ladder it's free headshot time. The dude finished with 74 kills. I was climbing the ladder at the start of the game when I suddenly became the first infected and received a shotgun round to the face. I respawned, for some reason with a throwing knife, and everyone was already up on the catwalk. I died, and respawned again with a throwing knife and took someone out on the catwalk with it but he didn't become infected. Then I died and died and died and died and died and died and died. Then someone quit out (probably because it was too boring) and someone else joined. Guys joining late have to make it to the ladder and I got him before he got there. All my kills as the infected in that game (4 of them) were people joining midway because others quit due to boredom.

You can really use this game mode to take your K/D through the roof. Be lucky enough not to be the infected at the beginning, get a bunch of kills, become infected and go sit in a corner somewhere until time expires. Every game would have you at 10, 15, 20 and 1.

Interestingly, there's a whole lot of glitchy spots in these maps that I didn't know existed until this game mode came around. Some guy jumped off the balcony of the hotel on Seatown and ended up suspended above the ground against the wall where no one had a hope of getting to him.

I was growing bored of MW3 but this just accelerated it.

I liked the sound of the Infected game mode, a sort of throw back to the old Zombie servers I used to play on Counter Strike Source.

But it wasn't there and a quick google search revealed it isn't available for the PC version yet :grumpy:

So I just got off of MW2 after encountering enough UAV hackers to make me rage quit for the night and it got me wondering, why should I even bother investing in MW3? Infinity Ward shows no support for their old releases so why should I bother supporting their current release. Both MW1 and MW2 are hacked with no signs of being patched. It's like if you invest in a MW game you're eventually left with a broken game and some map packs which become worthless since everyone has moved on the the next CoD. Sure I did enjoy the game when I had it and played it often until I hit first prestige but meh, I don't think I'll be buying a copy. :indiff:

My nat type is now Moderate. Not open any more. When I'm the host the lag just becomes unbearable. And it has nothing to do with my connection, see below.

But you have NAT1, if I'm right, that's a straight connection to your modem.

You do know that your test means absolutely nothing, right? That's a nice connection to within 50 miles of your location. Test it to Paris or London or even some small city 500 miles away. Just because it's fast locally doesn't mean it's fast to another country. You're dealing with the lowest common denominator, and even a 25ms ping isn't going to mean much when you're constantly getting into games with people around 75ms.

Hahahah!
I has first infected yesterday on bakaraa tknife vs rsass and I finished off 12-0-2. I got 5 kills right off the bat because everyone was right in front of me and running to the same place lol

I like how IW made all the glitched spots are now death zones. I tried going onto the streetlight on Fallen and I got infected

400 miles.

And I showed it because every other game I have plays perfect when I'm the host. Except Mw3, it just ridiculous.

The only thing that matters is latency. And that test still doesn't mean a thing because it isn't accounting for how routing is handled in the game. A trace route and ping checks against another user on PSN would be required.

Though yes, MW3 has an odd implementation of netcode, not going to disagree.

MOAB #2 just went down a bit ago on Seatown playing Dom GW.

Like a boss. MP7 so good. But been messing with some of the ARs again. Just feel so slow with them.

Prestiged up again, already at level 26 after 2 hours lol
Haven't unlocked anything good yet, just got the pp90m1- still waiting on the ACR, type 95 and fad

Are you sure? I saw a bunch of people up there last night.

Well, the part that you can jump on to from the ground. You can still get on there from the building.
They also got the streetlight on fallen ad the trailer on hardhat

You can still get on the trailer on Hardhat. You have to either jump from the piece of stell leaning against the wall on the left side or from the right side jumping directly onto the trailer and not onto the cement barriers against the wall.

Now that they have everyone running around with throwing knives the game is a lot more fair and fun. Games will last only a few minutes but are frenetic during the latter half. I've been playing it a lot more.

Despite a game update, the official Infection game mode has not come to the PC version. :/

I was playing earlier and the lag compensation seems to have gotten worse; in Seatown I was running through the streets and an invisible wall blocked my path for a second and then I died. On the killcam I was running into an opponent facing the other way, before he turned round and shot me

I know I know another rant about the spawns but they suck! So tired of spawning in hc tdm only to die within three seconds. That's the reason I pretty much only play hc snd. Than and it's cool to get the round or game winning kill cam. I am trying to level up some guns to make prestiging go by faster and I tried my hand at hc tdm. It sucks lol. The spawns anyway.

I like the new infected mode but not enough to keep me from selling this. I went 21-1 followed by 15-2 on Arkaden by sitting in the Burgertown.

I used the infected game for getting the Darkbringer challenge. As virtually no one uses a tactical insertion in the other games.

I had 8 at 22.30, when I started, I finished the challenge, 25, at 0.45.

And then went back to shooting people.

MOAB 3 and 4 today. Got a very large and good group going in GW, average KD around 1.7 for the 8 people we had. One guy went 98 and 6 in a Domination game. Blow out scores too, like 10000 to 3800 in TDM and 200 to 50 in Domination.

Does anyone here play survival mode? My favourite bit of the game because you have to deal with many more enemies than online so it gets chaotic in the higher rounds.

The only game mode I enjoy playing online now is demolition because even with a group of randoms you can sometimes pull out a win over a group if everyone's focused. Is there any reason why downturn is such an unpopular map? I've played on it about 5 or 6 times out of about 300 games whereas I always end up playing on dome and getting spawn killed.

Didn't think Downturn was an unpopular map, it's probably one of my favourites. Carbon and Outpost are the two that seem to be the ones that get voted against the most. In TDM anyway.

I play survival quite a bit.
I like seatown and outpost the best for it.

I love demolition. It currently my favorite haha
It's TSM but with an objective, that's why I like it

Carbon is another one I barely ever get a game on, not my favourite map but it's ok. Maybe it's just the lobbies I end up in because usually these maps are paired with Dome, Mission and the rest of them. It might just be Demolition though because actually getting to the bombs with randoms is quite difficult on Downturn. I wouldn't know about TDM as I've played around 3 games.

Outpost is quite fun but I haven't tried Seatown yet, my favourites have to be Mission and Village though because there is so little cover from helicopters.

That's why its most fun for me because in TDM I struggle to put up a decent score but in Demolition I can make up for it with defuses and defends and the team has to work together to win.
