I say the Evo is better on the track, but I prefer the WRX for rallying.

But seriously, between these two, I'd take the Evo. The IX is my favourite Evo. Any other year though, I'd take the Subie.
 
The Impreza up to 1999. From 2000 onwards, the Lancer appealed to me more. From 2007, the Impreza looked like a damn Kia.
 
I had a bit of a look around on vids comparing the 08 evo and the 08 sti from what I can gather the sti owns it in power but on cornering the evo is better
 
Well since they fixed how the AYC acts in 2.02 update... I have battled with a few of my friends and his subaru beat me everytime before... I now whoop the subaru everytime... And when i am racing him i change my win comment to "AYC FOR THE WIN" or "AYC > LSD EVERYTIME" .... But this is the way i see it... impressia's are king of the dirt.. EVO's are king.of the street (when they are a true EVO... ones that actually have the AYC controller)
 
For me, it's very close. I like all of the WRXs, but I also like Evos. I'm not a fan of the Evo X though. Like I said, it's very close, but I have to go with the Evo on this one. Mainly because I love the T.M. edition, but I also really like the IX. So I like more of the WRXs than I do Evos, but the Evos I do like, I like quite a bit more.

I've always loved the Impreza's, loved playing Colin McRae rally games and using him and getting to drive that car. Just been engrained in my mind since then. Not to mention, whenever I think of Mitsubishi, I think of TV's :crazy: lol (my grandparents have had a Mitsubishi TV since I was 5, :scared: )

You know, comparing these two is like comparing the Mustang and the Camaro :sly: (With which, I would pick the Mustang, regardless of my avatar, lol, the only Camaro I like is the 3rd gen, and probably the 1st and 2nd gen camaros, 4th and 5th are just ugly. So are the 3rd gen mustangs).
 
Well I like both cars, they're really good and they do have some pros that are favorable, but.........

You just gotta love when you send chills down an Evo IX's spine when you have a GDB-III chassis with a growling boxer flat turbo with amazing torque that can easily pass a CT9A instantly on the twisties and straights of a track.

Impreza > Evo. Always.

Why? Because the AYC ruins what little balance there was in the Evo. It feels like the AYC is sleeping when you have it in its default setting, and when you crank it up to a significant level, it feels like there's a hand which slaps the Evo's backside out. I guess it's personal preference, I prefer the Impreza's more natural handling.
 
Evo wins it hands down for me :)

I have very little love for impreza's and i can not stand that god awful, 'firing on 3' racket they make :crazy:
