Motor City Tunes

Just a placeholder for a few days.

I only see it as 'new' once, either list it here, PM it, or I'll simply forget about it.
I can't check your thread every single day waiting/hoping you'll update an old post with a tune/car name/etc. I can't track what people do beyond the initial sight of the post. You either have a tune to post or you don't, no need for games.

Chill. It's not a game, just needed to get that written down before I forget it. On another note, this is kind of my thread, not yours. I can appreciate not wanting to miss a tune, but the governance isn't all that appreciated.

I'll PM you when it's updated.

A well deserved "Tune of the Week" from the news section, to one of the best tuners here on GTP. Congratulations MCH, great job :dopey:

Congrats Hami, didn't had the time to test your tune. We all want a magic tune for this car, waiting PD offer us a new one with a decent front downforce and nice sensation at the wheel...:) I'll accept a FXX

hi there, i need some help, i can't get the gears rpm like those

Wow. That's awesome. I didn't expect that tune to be nominated. It's pretty good, but the two that I am most proud of right now are the S2000 and Ford GT Test car.

This tune was built for krenkme's FITT Clueless Classic Race Car Shoot Out. I must admit that during tuning, I struggled a bit and almost quit a number of times. The old school race cars are tricky and we should give PD credit for that. I can just imagine the real world crews trying to squeeze performance out of these more primitive machines and experiencing the same flip flopping over the knife's edge as I experienced while building this tune. The LSD for example, will give slight inside wheel spin in one corner then slight outside wheel spin in another. Another example, when I was able to find better turn in, it would often kill exit speed. In the end, I am happy that I stuck with it. This is an enjoyable tune to drive under my driving style. I don't really know if it will be fast or competitive in the competition, but I don't really care either. This is one of the best looking entries and it puts a smile on my face whenever I strap into those virtual belts and take it for a drive.

@MCH you had the perfect car to paint green and you made it orange?:lol:

 It even started out green, but I just couldn't make it obnoxious bright green. This orange looks great and is just different enough that if someone else entered the Jag, this would help it stand apart.

I +1 your color change... If I literally owned an all original 66 fast back 427 Vette. You better believe I would upgrade the suspension and put a stereo in her.

Original? We are playing a game...

When the 2.09 update was released, I cleared all cars out of my favorites list and just realized that I forgot to put any back. I was racing online last night and was in a really fun room, but they kept changing tracks/PP levels every couple of races. I just couldn't keep up. I couldn't find my decent tunes. I have done all of this tuning and got a racing beat down because I just couldn't keep up with changing cars.

Over the next few months I am going to re-build my favorites list with cars tuned across the PP limit range. I will note on the OP next to the car, the PP level.

Any chance you can split these 3 tunes up for me Hami?
Is this the Mystery tune, or should I still be looking out for that one?
Any lap times to add to these tunes out of curiosity as an avid NASCAR'er?
P.S. You're a swell guy too!

Sure thing. Can split these up just for you.

Mystery tune became the Jaguar XJ-13.

Didn't pay attention that much to lap times. Tuned these in Dirty NASCAR rooms. I can own those Daytona and Indy rooms. Guessing that the NASCAR talent might be higher in the clean rooms and should probably try them one of these days.

Hi, Keith. Just want to ask if you're going to update the tunes for the Super GT cars?

Just the two Takata Dome cars so far. With the current state of the game, 2.10 update and the game's age, I'm just kinda tuning what I feel like driving. Last night I was working on a Miata tune for the G27.

In the past, I had fun with the Super GT GT-Rs and the Castrol NSX. I have had my eye on the Mobile One car as well. Maybe I'll get to some of those in the coming weeks. Have been trying to find good race rooms online lately. The street car rooms are a bit frustrating right now. Maybe Super GT would be more fun? If you know of any good clubs/leagues, let me know.

Great, hope to see those tunes coming in, especially the GTR's, Keith. By the way, my group is doing a Super GT race this weekend, specifically the GT500's. You can find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/gtonestop. Our race session always start at 10.00 p.m to 12.00 a.m. in Malaysia (UTC +08). Hope to see you there soon, Keith., Raymond.
