Hope to be there next week if Virgin allow me![]()
i'm surprised at so little warnings. there were at least 3 situation i was involved in that were worthy of one... has a different meter been used compared to GVE?
Dam it 9th now![]()
Also, I've been asked to clarify the rules regarding pit entries. I'm not bothered about you cutting the entry line or whatever (so long as you don't swipe someone's nose off as you sweep in). There was an incident at GP/D of two cars duelling side by side into pit entry. No penalties given as there was no crash or time lost, but I do urge you all to use common sense in such a situation. If it's clear you're on the outside and you're not gonna make a pass in the pit entry lane, then just back out of it.
In race 2 there was a glitch whereby me and karsten exited the pits side by side (and I was on the outside)... how am I supposed to avoid that?
Finally managed to outscore Skeng this week![]()
OK, still seems a little harsh to be bumped back 2 places in one race and 1 place in the other for something as trivial as crossing the pit line a car length early... a simple warning/reminder would have sufficed. I've never seen it cause an incident (quite the opposite in fact)
There's only one, isn't there?![]()
No, it's just that none of your complaints were worthy of one. We can't penalise for lag as with the skeng crash, and we can't penalise another driver when you lose the car by yourself, as in the Nova crash.

All info now up in posts #2 and #3. 👍
There's a small chance I may not be racing this week. If that's the case I'd like killa or skeng, since they're the stewards, to host my room for me on Thursday. In any case, you all know how we work on a Thursday so it should still run very smoothly
If I'm not able to race then I'll be looking to appoint a 3rd steward for the race. I'll keep you posted 👍
Announcement:
Early days in the season I know, but I'd like to introduce something interesting I have in mind for next season.
Some of you guys have spoken a lot in the past about letting cars into the series that aren't BTCC-relevant, and until now I have resisted the calls. However, now is your chance to get some of these cars into the series....
I'm opening up a vote, open to all of you, where you send to me, via PM, your list of cars that you'd love to see in BTCC. There are some rules (listed below), but beyond those the choice is entirely free. It can be any car that you like, within the rules below. It can be a totally new car, or an old BTCC car you want back. Up to you.
You will be allowed to list up to a maximum of 10 cars. Please do so in preference order, as I shall be tallying your votes based on the F1 points system. You don't have to list 10, but you cannot list any more than that.
The top 3 cars from the vote will be put forward for testing, and, providing they can match the field for pace, will be included as a permanent part of the car list. If they cannot match the field, then I'll test everyone's 4th favourite, and so on until 3 spaces are filled.
Please bear in mind that I will only be changing the weight of the cars when testing - all cars will have 305bhp.
The rules for your choices follow. Cars must...
Please be sensible! If a car is clearly going to be too fast or too slow, then don't bother because neither will I!
- not be 4WD
- be dated no earlier than 1993 (i.e. cars cannot be more than 20 years old)
- be stock road cars, not racing modified models or racing cars
- be able to have Aero parts fitted from GT Auto
- be able to hit at least 300bhp, although 305 is preferred
- be able to weigh at least 1100kg
If you want a particular model of car that has about 50 variations, then please specify....
Vote closes at the start of Round 3 (Suzuka East) on 7th February. 👍
