Race 2 grid will be set to reversed based on Race 1 results.

Mandatory pit-stops and pit windows. 2 wheels must be inside the pit exit line as you leave pit lane. If there is no line, keep left/right or ensure your exit is safe. Pit entry is free from restriction, so long as any kind of incident is avoided.

This series uses the GTP OLR Rules for acceptable conduct in racing, and these must be followed at all times!

Unnecessary in-race chat is no longer acceptable, and will be penalised!

Penalty System & Stewards:

Stewards are rolo912011, killa_kandy and skengdigi. Please PM the stewards via GTPlanet or PSN regarding on-track incidents. Do NOT publicly address the issue with the other driver(s) involved.

You will be issued a warning if your driving is perceived to be unacceptable in a certain incident - this means you are automatically given 2 penalty points.

You will be banned for one race meeting if you earn 6 penalty points during the season. (i.e. 3 warnings)

You will be banned for the rest of the season if you earn 12 penalty points during the season. (i.e. 6 warnings)

Time penalties are not normally associated with a warning, but it is at the stewards' discretion. If you have already received a warning during a race, you will be issued time penalties for any further rule breaks during that race (of at least 5 seconds each).

Pit infringements are penalised by time penalties - pitting too early or too late incurs a 10-second penalty, and crossing the pit exit line incurs a 5-second penalty (at least 10 seconds if this causes an incident).

Off-track behaviours can also be penalised. Please respect other drivers off the track (on GTP or PSN), as well as on it. Championship points in all trophies can be deducted if a drivers' behaviour is considered disrespectful or offensive. There are no maximum limits to the points deductions! We're all here to have fun and ultimately, we're all playing a video game. Let's all have good-spirited racing. :) 👍

I'm planning a little revamp of the stewarding system.

Basically, as far as I know, me and killa are staying on as stewards. If not, and in any case, I need 3 full-time stewards.

I plan to set up a private social group on GTP for the BTCC Stewards to discuss incidents in a more open forum.

For decisions to stand, at least 2 of the stewards would have to agree.

If you're interested in taking up a post, please let me know.

----------------------

Just to let you all know, the car specs are not fully final, and there may be cases where cars need to be slowed down or speeded up to be competitive (or even removed altogether). Testing can take place throughout December (although I can only be present at weekends before Christmas), and the car specs will be fully finalised in January.

I can be a steward and sign me up in a 04 honda civic .

Done and done! I thought you were after an FR car for next season?

You in a Civic :scared:

As I've said in OP, car specs can be altered pre-season and also during the season to keep things as level as we can.

I'm in!

Looking forward to abit of Thursday night action, with the race day change I'm pretty confident ill be there for all races.

As for car choice, thinking of maybe the Focus RS but will have to confirm after some testing.

Not sure if Jack is going to make it now after the news he gave me so not sure if ill be running as a indy or maybe look for a team mate.

:)

Looking forward to the next season!!!!

Sign me up for the Honda Civic '04 (would be rude not to after all the noise i made about it :)

Won't be able to enter but good luck to you guys, we all need some mid week tin-tops on GTP 👍

👍 :)

I've signed all of you guys up (not you Furi :P). I've also reserved two Hondas for Geeky and sc61, so the Hondas are now filled :scared:

I was thinking to go fr if i won it in season 3.

Weezy and I can team up again .

Sounds good to me. I'll let you pick team name and car colour this time.

Hopefully i can show a bit more consistency this time round

looking great. I was just surfing around and stumbled upon the 2009 brands hatch finale and it got me thinking. How about success ballast?

Like last season I'll pick my car after everyone else. But please keep a spot open for me. So please just notify me when 15 drivers have signed up. 👍

I've already given you a spot. 👍

Are you staying on as a steward?

I have considered success ballast, but often wonder if people will be able to add any more ballast to their cars (depending on how much weight they've taken off), or if people will get the memo in the week.

How many cars would get success ballast after each round? The top 5?

Pencil me in but work depending, will find out next week if I can make 7pm.

I think success ballast would spice things up and make things more tactical.

1st- 45kg
2nd- 36kg
3rd- 27kg
4th- 18kg
5th- 9kg

So per week we have two races. If in race one you finish 2nd but in race two you finish 3rd then you will receive the success ballast for finishing in 2nd. Ballast will be added to cars based on you highest position achieved in that weekend.

Yeah I'll stay on as steward...

We may have to trial this in a few test races. I'm willing to push back the start of the season for a week if we need more time. 👍

to avoid uber long star procedures give just 3 penalties to the podium group...

also if the "divebombing" rule get fixed i might reserve a spot. Also i'm not a fun of the off track penalties too.

I plan to take damage into account for divebombing incidents next season. For example if nobody gets hit, then I don't think a penalty is necessary. There may be some difficulty in coming to the same conclusion every time, but we'll do our best 👍

Hopefully with 3 stewards, and 2 needing to agree for a decision to stand, people will think decisions are fairer and more thought out.

glad to see, for i was penalized twice for takeover attempt where i damaged noone and where deemed as "divebombing".

btw not retouching to the bmws? they'll easily take the audi's spot next season if they are not downtuned a bit...

Car specs are not final yet. If the BMW's and maybe Hondas have too much advantage over the field then weight will be added to them. Perhaps 50kg or 100kg. 👍

Of course the BMWs have an advantage too in that the same drivers have used them for 3 seasons, so I'd imagine by now their set-ups are nearly perfect. Other people who use BMWs haven't been as competitive. Rest assured though, any inequalities in the field will be dealt with 👍

I'd like to see all the FF cars really fighting for it, because mainly they haven't throughout the seasons.

Will the rules stand for the whole season or change when suited? Coz that really really peed me off in S3.

Car specs are the only thing I would be willing to change in season (to boost/restrict competitiveness), but I think after say Round 3 or 4 there should be no more changes.

As to other rules, they are static for the season. Follow all parts of the OLR and what's mentioned in the opening posts, and all will be good. 👍 There might be 'crackdowns' on certain things if they prove really problematic (e.g. divebombing, weaving in straight lines etc).

Why round 3-4? Why not sort them before race 1 .com

I think those ballast figures are too high

Lets have a few preseason races on tracks that didnt make the cut and sort out the specs / rules

Well they will be as much as possible, but sometimes things only become apparent when the actual championship is on. For example, people don't turn up to test races, which really hinders the ability to evaluate cars.

I lack the time personally right now to do any serious running. or attend many test races before Christmas, and in the case of the BMWs for example, I'm not good enough with FR cars to run them fairly. I wouldn't be able to show their true pace.

I'm kinda relying on everyone to do test races, run as many cars as possible and then report back on what they think needs doing. I think only the BMWs and Hondas need working on really, but if there's anything else, then please don't hesitate to mention it. I'd like every car to have a real chance of winning races this season.

This. There is over a month to get things prepped. There's plenty of time to try things and evaluate things. Don't have the impression that everything is sorted and ready to go yet (V8 drivers can hopefully empathise with this!)

Looks like we are all set for Season 4 :D
Let's make it a good one :sly:

I believe we thought of doing this but I thought it may get confusing.

But with Rolo I am sure this is something we can test :sly:
