2nd Sammo85 18:44.677 7 points
3rd Rusinvincible 18:47.208 6 points

OK Guys i am a little concerned about dirty driving around London, these races are close, so we need to be more careful, I hope this does not put you guys off racing. As mentioned damage should be heavy and penalties should be strong. for the next race and all other races, the rules will bechanged.

Damage: Heavy
Tire-ware: Fast
Penalties Strong

I will come down hard on rule breakers so please keep driving clean.

Finally I will update the championship standings.

We could re-try.

To late now lest just think of this race a test, now we know its close racing we can continue to race and improve driving and racing for all.

Oh and Sammo I am sorry about what happened, maybe in the next season , this track will not be used.

The next races is the Daytona Road Course – Normal Race - American cup 14 laps (Fiat 500f) 1 Pitstop

The race is the same time next week so get tuning now.

Not your fault cox, just proper annoyed with dirty driving, shore there was the normal tapping and scraping but at some points you were being planted into the wall because of late brakers. And tacom I'm proper peaved with the last lap where you pushed me out, that was unprofessional.

Like i Said rules will be changed to prevent this, i am just annoyed i could not race, i do think that not everybody was able to test and practice so lest hope for a better race next week.

oh well time to watch top gear .

Oh Yeh topgear, the best program on telly by a mile, unfortunately I'm sad and have all episodes on DVD. Actually cox I don't think pens strong would be too good, you get stumped for the mildest graze. Damage heavy though is def the answer. Looking forward to the next race already.

05: Rules Governing Car Contact:

A:
Contacts and collisions must be avoided at all costs.

B:
Pushing other cars in turns or pushing them off the track is strictly prohibited.

C:
Leaning on other cars is strictly prohibited in any situation.

06: Running into the car ahead of you:

A:
The behind driver must take all necessary care and responsibility not to run into an ahead driver.

B:
In case you brake too late for a corner or partially lose control of your car, but can prevent an accident by steering into the dirt, grass or a wall, you are expected to do so.

C:
The ahead driver must not do any malicious or inappropriate braking or slowing. Leading cars MUST NOT EVER 'brake check' the car(s) behind them because they are following too closely. The ahead driver IS entitled to be slower or use longer and earlier braking zones than others. They are also entitled to turn in earlier or later and/or apex earlier or later.

07: Contact Concessions:

A:
If there’s contact between drivers that results in the guilty driver making up places on the innocent driver, the guilty driver should immediately allow the innocent driver to pass freely to re-establish their position. This rule should be observed, even if it means the guilty driver has to allow drivers not involved in the incident to pass while waiting for the driver they contacted.

B:
If the appropriate contact concession is carried out by the guilty driver then they may avoid or reduce the severity of any penalties that might otherwise apply.

C:
If the appropriate contact concession is not carried out by the guilty party then the usual penalties would apply.

D:
If you have to slow down to let the other player through, move out of the racing line first before you slow down. Coming to a full stop is not allowed, just continue at a lower pace until the other driver passes you again.

08: Corner Rights:

A:
When approaching the turn/apex of turn, the car which "holds" the inner side of turn has entrance-advantage and other driver(s) must refrain from endangering him by his actions.

B:
You must establish substantial overlap with the car ahead before they reach the corner’s turn-in point to have the right to drive up their inside, or to expect them to leave inside room for you. At least the front of your car should be up to the driver’s position in the ahead car. The ahead driver has the right to be fully committed to the racing line of their choice without any interference if there was no substantial overlap before he turned in.

C:
If sufficient overlap is established before the turn-in point, then the behind driver has the right to sufficient side room. The ahead driver must also leave sufficient side room for the behind driver. This means that each driver has a right to their respective "line", or side of the track, right up to the exit point. Neither driver should squeeze the other toward the inside or outside of the corner during the apex or exit.

D:
If an ahead driver has clearly made an error to warrant a passing move, a behind driver may attack their position, with due caution and care, regardless of whether there was any pre-existing overlap. However, the overtaking driver must still avoid contact. Small errors by the ahead driver may not justify a passing move. The ahead driver getting a bit out of shape at times doesn’t give you an automatic right to pass. You still have to judge if their error allows for a safe pass to take place.

E:
Drivers who are using PS2/PS3 controller MUST make additional effort in driving due to the fact they can't use side-view, and their perception of the other cars is thereby limited - extreme caution while maneuvering is required. If you are using a controller, you are required to set buttons up for side views as "I didn't see you." is not an excuse if you collide with another driver when racing.

Thanks cox for posting that, after watching the replay thoroughly there are a number of things noticed. Firstly drivers are ignoring the rights of the lead car, or the car infront of them. At a number of points drivers behind that had no advantage were pushing through the inside and causing the lead car to oversteer into the barriers. I love racing in this series like I did the last cox hosted and its always been really close but fair racing. But quick message to the newbies enjoy yourselves but please don't spoil it for everyone else. I and others have spent hours tuning cars to be competitive not to be shunted off on the first lap.

Cox have taken pictures which I will email to you.

I want this :dopey:. Hard to believe that's a 2CV, a long way from a farmers field in France.

Doesn't it just, cox what's going on with your connection? Is it your internet that's the problem? Do you want to try and run it off mine if it persists as I have unlimited usage?

Plus my signal strength is pretty good as well. Just think its gonna be a bitch if you keep being kicked out in a race?

Well we have unlimited to can get down speeds of up to 15 mbps, i think it would be wise for you to host, the reason my connection went down was because someone else was using all the bandwidth.

Oh and that car looks so cool, just need a premium 2CV, I do have some hope as they made a premium beetle.

Ok, let me know if you do and what setup you want. I can host and you can dish out the instructions.

Love it, I might sell my merc and go and buy a real fiat like the one above.

2.29.550, is my best so far and nearly got it below that so I'm running well.

I am struggling at the moment to get with even 1 second of that, anyone want come and tune with me Friday or Saturday to my best so so far is 2.33.xxx. I would of completed some more testing tonight, but i have just spent 2 hours trying to fix a BSOD in windows, hopefully it is sorted now.

I think i am losing time on certain corners, but can not be sure, this track does seem hard to drive on using SS tyres.

I've set brake biast to rear wheels heavily to get a gentle drift throught the bends, also you need to be doing atleast 87mph by the time you leave the last turn before the end straight to be in with a shout.

Also cox, when I started testing this track I was 5 secs off the pace, being ultra smooth on this track is the key.

OK thanks, i set my brakes the other way to stop sliding, and prevent Tyre ware. On another note i have change my car colors will be sticking with these now as Tacom08 had the same colors. I am now using a DLC neon blue for both cars .

I was also about 5 seconds off the pace smooth driving as helped setting the brake balance to the front stopped me drifting in the corners loosing time, but i cat improve any more then i have , Will give your suggestion a try. This trac has the awkward corners where you break as you go around.

Other thing cox is drop your downforce right off, this helped me get 110mph top speed which is reasonable.
