Grease Monkey Engineering!!
Factory Balance, Extreme Performance.

Welcome to Grease Monkey Engineering, the next generation of tuner garage. Here at GME our mission is simple: To provide the greatest driving experience for our drivers from our factory models and ensuring victories with our race cars. Each car from the garage has been meticulously built together with care, so you know you get nothing but the best from me, no half baked jobs.

Now while I understand that some people may be eager to put up tunes on their own in tuners threads, please note that only tunes from GME will be in here and as such, submissions of your own tunes WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION BY MYSELF and will be reported as such to a moderator. Apart from that, it's open slather here at my garage. So leave all your comments, compliments, criticisms and insults here (within the rules of AUP of course!! ;)). 👍

Note: If you want the SRT4 400km/h tune, YOU MUST PM ME for the stats and hope I give them to you, I'm not giving it out to everyone and anyone, it's a special request for 300mph members and specialised tuners only.

Now, onto the tunes:

This is the TRD Hilux that's been beefed up to compete with the VE R8 ute's that now have 317Kw. The supercharger has been swapped to a new unit for more boost now giving it 765Nm of torque, enough to put the TDi V10 Touraeg to shame and the 312Kw (425hp) is enough to make it turn 12s down the strip. Around Tsukuba however, this car isn't a slouch. It will complete a lap in under 1 minute, hitting 59.4's on S3 rubber. ;)

Since GT4 never released the Megane Sport, I built my own to the exact power specs of the factory car and getting near on identical sprint times to the factory model. At Tsukuba, for a "factory" car with no weight reduction, this will still pull a 1.06 flat and is a fine balance of factory and tuning by yours truly.

Since HSV never got a showing in GT4, I took it upon myself to build what should've been put in the game, the car that defines Holden muscle, the Clubsport. This R8 version has the exact 285Kw from the showroom with an extra 20Nm for you to play with. On the strip, it will mirror the cars actual mid 13's down the strip, with it's improved suspension allowing beautiful driving around any circuit.

This NSX is designed to get beginners into the game to have a straight out enjoyable drive or for having a decent dice in the Type R cup. There are no precisely tuned gearboxes or 600hp upgrades on this car, just a simple warming over of Intake/Head/Exhaust work combined with a more supple suspension setting and easier LSD to work with to bring it more to 2009 standards of performance, now having 245Kw (258Kw. S2 tyres have been retained in this case, more for fun factor, but it doesn’t lose traction. It shows in the figures, with 0-100’s now knocked off in the low 4’s and mid 12’s over the quarter. This has become what I thrash around on a day to day basis for kicks on the Family Cup +10, bothering all the major machinery without any real effort. I hope you enjoy it too.

Note = Figures in brackets are for 10.0km version of same car.

When GT4 was first released, the new Mustang had just come out. Since then the Shelby editions have come out and this is the first of my tributes to them. Even though these editions are only using the 4.6L motor, they are supercharged like the real things and produce as much power aswell. This particular one shoots out 501hp, 201hp up on standard, and on S3's you may think it's a bit too much but it's well within the boundaries of insanity. ;) Like the real thing if you smash the pedal it will light the tyres in first and second. It's a car that requires attention but is very rewarding to drive. And reward you it will, by turning consistent 2.01's at GVS & a 7.33.5 at the Nurburgring.

Even though these editions are only using the 4.6L motor, they are supercharged like the real things and produce as much power aswell. This particular one shoots out 530hp, it may be 10hp down on the real life thing, but this has over 800Nm, 1/3 more than the real thing. ;) Like the real thing if you smash the pedal it will light the tyres in first and second and even third if you keep shifting it back into it's torque bulge but some throttle control contains it quite nicely. It might have the same specs on the sheet as the GT500, but the extra 30hp & 40Nm give the KR that extra venom on the tyres.

The RGT3 RS, GME’s answer to Porsche’s GT3 RS. Based on the already insane RGT, it was decided to make this car to match the GT3 RS pound for pound, hp for hp, Nm for Nm. And it’s come up very very close. This car has 306Kw (1Kw more), 406Nm (1Nm less), and weighs 1330kg (45kg less) so performance is very similar. Around GVS on a less than perfect run, I was able to get a 2.00.5 so sub 2.00 is very attainable. Without the BBC, it does make high speed braking a little bit hairy, but it allows the driver to maintain a pretty controlled braking motion and you must remind yourself, it’s a factory car, not a race special. And while it doesn’t have the straight line grunt of a Zonda or XJ220, it’s handling makes up for it, and allows for more experienced drivers to get their slide on too if provoked. Not for beginners, but if you think you can handle it, it should reward you well.

The Chrysler 300C, the 21st century version of a pimps car. Known for being big, out there and very flashy, it was missing the oomph it needed. Chrysler sorted it out the usual American way by sticking a bigger motor in there to get more power. GME decided to take a different route and create our own SRT-8 using the 5.7L Hemi that was already in there. After some internal tinkering and some fresh oil, the motor spat out 320Kw & 665Nm, enough to make everyone make notice of this Mopar. Add some fresh suspension, some racing brakes and a nicely tuned gearbox, the result is a comfortable luxury sedan that’s been turned into a supercar chasing Grand Tourer.

The Cooper-S has for a long time been the pinnacle of the Mini family. In JCW form it reaches a whole new level. GME has decided to build our own JCW edition and replicate the statistics. A simple working of the intake/head/exhaust areas allowed us to increase the power and on top of that, the new suspension package allows the car to launch with wheelspin almost eliminated and tearing around corners with a new inspired confidence and the gearing allows the most in nearly any gear.
The GME JCW edition, the Mini has reached a new pinnacle of excellence.

This is the 270NA, the un-released twin sister of the 270R. Originally built as a drifter, this has been through the best of both worlds (circuit & drift) and is a drifter turned touge. Starting with a Silvia Q's, turbocharging wasn't an option, so the gurus at Nismo tore apart the SR20DE and gave it the full overhaul it sorely needed. Everything was lightened and balanced in the aim of improving the agility of an already agile cat. This car was tuned at Citta Di Aria and those settings were taken to the Nurburgring, where on S1’s it turned in a sub-7.50 lap time (low 7.30’s on S3’s!!) and then unleashed again on the city streets. This car BEGS to be taken hard, anywhere, for as long as you can handle it. If you go too hard, sideways action isn't a problem to control, nor is wheelspin....very easy to reign in.
Since this original build, there is also a 10.0km version of this with 210Kw which results in a quicker drive all round.

Growing up, I was a big fan of the BTCC in the 90’s. The battles between Volvo, Renault, Audi, BMW and Nissan were renowned for great action. This car is GME’s tribute to that era. This Primera has come from its mass produced past, been stripped out to BTCC specs (300hp limit) and then delivered to you for one scary ride. Like nearly all FF's, this isn't for complete button mashers, but with its huge torque capability under 5000rpm, if you ever start wheel spinning, just up shifting fixes it with no real loss in acceleration and will help handling. I think you will be surprised at the quality of shift between gears. There is also an extreme turbo version of this with 325hp, but it results in a scarier and not as fun ride for most players.

This is the next generation in Mitsubishi's Evo clan, the CZ-Evolution. Using the Colt Ralliart's 1.5L turbo motor, the guys at Ralliart thought it would be a good idea to boost her up. Giving her all their best goodies has boosted this puppy to a claimed '206Kw' with a weight that makes most other AWD's look.....well, fat. Fat like they should be at The Biggest Loser camp.
GME then took this car and shortened the gearing to such a point that this car will blow a CTR2 into the weeds down the 1/4 with its current settings and given the short straights of Citta Di Aria, this car suits that track perfectly with its massive acceleration and deliberately set low top speed. It’s nimble, quick and will tear apart the smaller circuits with ease.

I present to you the rally car that Toyota didn't offer to the public, the 1970 Toyota Celica GT-TWO TRD Spec. :dopey: A silver medal winner in it's category in the Vintage Tuner Cup, this car is a proven track monster, getting around GVS in 2.07.871 (25seconds faster than stock) & around Tsukuba in 1.03.210. It's not just a 1 lap wonder either, I put S1's on it and took out the 1000 mile race aswell facing the Merc & Jag.

Here's my story behind the car:

After Toyota's dominance at Fuji with the Toyota 7 and the success of the 2000GT, Toyota felt they needed to dominate the World Rally scene. In an era where the BDA Escort was running a dynasty, the GT-TWO was built to end it and quickly too.
The humble '2T' 1600cc motor that powered the 1600GT was transformed into a 2T-TE, having the carby swapped over for EFI, a fully built & balanced motor, racing exhaust, ported & polished with a GT28 sized Stage 2 turbo fitted. From the factory, this potent little package pushed out 154Kw (209hp) of power & 233Nm of torque in a package weighing just 855kg.

A fully beefed up driveline for WRC duties was employed, including a 6 speed gearbox, triple plate clutch, racing flywheel, carbon driveshaft and a fully customizable LSD. The gear ratios are closely spaced together with a very tall 1st gear to limit wheelspin on launch. Adjustable suspension allround and a lightened body make it turn as quickly as a cut snake. Racing brakes help it stop on a dime too.

To complete the car a wing package and body restoration are put in place but the rollcage wasn't fitted as the engineers stressed their concerns about the car understeering with the roll cage in place.......and that drivers were replacable in those days.

On the road, it performs it's duties with a minimum of fuss. While it isn't the best accelerator on the road, it's speed through the corners make it one of the most formidable cars on dirt and well placed on twisty, flowing circuits. Best thing about the car is the ability to push more each time and the adjustability of the ratios....I could've gone for a quicker ratio setup which would've seen me get 14.1's & 242km/h top speed but this is better for all circuits not just some.

Here sits before you is your run of the mill ST165 Celica. Or is it?? GME enlisted the boys at TOM'S (Toyota's other racing arm) and decided that even though the car was a weapon in the WRC, it needed some street credibility. So we grabbed a 60,000km version and rebuilt it with everything in their arsenal. The result?? The Tomcat. Tomcats have a reputation of being quite wild and this one is no different, giving you 265Kw & 420Nm+ to play with. Balanced AND powerful, this car will rip around GVS in 2.03.3 and go under 1 minute at Tsukuba. It was a solid finisher in the Vintage Tuner Cup, getting great reviews and a strong 5th place overall.

Compare it against the RRV ST165, I dare you. :mischievous:

Note: There is now a 10.0km example of this car, all power and speed statistics are in brackets next to the 60000km specs. It was also 0.6 quicker around GVS, getting a 2.02.7.

This is the French Mafia, a special one off race car being a cross of the Peugeot 206 WRC & the 206 Maxi F2 car. The French Mafia is brutal pace mixed with handling of the highest calibre to make sure that cars with double the power are still staring at that Peugeot lion on your grille long after the start flag drops and anything near the same power are staring at your tail lights. 250Kw and nearly 350Nm ensure that R3 tyres are required to handle this weapons tyre frying abilities. But combine that with its handling and add the downforce and you have a car that will keep up with an Audi Le Mans around the Nurburgring.

Le Sarthe I Lap Time: 3.58.937.

The Supra, the ultimate statement in Toyota power. From its beginnings as being a bigger engined brother of the tiny Celica, it’s transformed into a big fat boat over the years. In JZA80 form it weighs over 1500kg. Not good enough at GME, who decided to take this boat, put her on a diet and then stick some steroids in there for good measure. The result is a mammoth 420Kw, enough to turn tyres to mush if you aren’t careful and 300kg off its weight. This will go around Le Mans in under 4 minutes and will easily hit over 320km/h.

The Suzuki Swift, the humble hatchback that had a cult following through the 90's thanks to it's low weight and high power from it's small powerplants. The new generation has continued that theme and they had done reasonably well in the WRC & JWRC with the SX4, Ignis & Swift. This is GME's contribution to the JWRC Swift program. Using Suzuki's S2-Concept as the base, the 1600cc motor has been worked to WRC F2 specs, pumping over 200Kw without a turbo in sight and the suspension has been set for rally conditions, but it doesn't mean that it's a slouch on the track either, going around GVS in 2.09.5. The suspension has been set for balance and traction meaning you won't be wheelspinning every gear and no weight reduction helps the car grab better around the curves.

NOTE: If you can, get NI0243 rims from the Used Wheels section of the wheel shop, it matches the look exactly. ;)

The Hakosuka GT-R, the original Nissan GT-R. Renowned for it's racing prowess in the early 70's, getting 49 straight victories in the Japanese Touring Car Championship, it was released in limited numbers to the public. Forget R35, think KPGC10. Forget VR38DETT, think S20. This fully tuned 'Fuji' edition of the GT-R has a fully race prepped S20 motor, with triple webers, lumpy cam, the works. Punching out a respectable 215Kw (293hp) and only carrying 1100kg, this Hakosuka is a reminder of what racing cars in our parents and grandparents times must've been like.

Here is the inspiration for the GME Hakosuka.

This is the Isuzu Piazza Turbo, the performance version of the Piazza range. I always had a soft spot for these since a kid, the ugly duckling compared to Starion Turbo's, Cordia Turbo's & MR2's of the time. That I can always overlook. However, the standard Piazza turbo didn't have enough pepper with us at GME, so we've given her a bit of a warm-up to compete with the late 80's cars like the S13 K's & Galant VR4. The result is 148Kw & 230Nm+ of torque, which is enough to keep up with them off the line and then the suspension work takes over and you drive away into the distance from better handling.
Run 1.06.3 at Tsukuba, 2.14.6 @ GVS, 1.02.1 @ Clubman Stage 5, 2.01.0 @ El Capitan. Fast enough to get you a heap of A-Spec points if you felt like it and cheap to build too. ;)

GME Drag Divison

Welcome to the GME drag division. This area of GME is for the devotees to the 1/4 mile or 1000m sprints. The 1/4 mile is where the Grease Monkey honed all of his skills on GT4 and learnt to develop the quickest sprint racers around. Yes, you might see 1 or 2 people who have a quicker time than mine nowadays as I don't prowl the strip as much as I used to but that allows me to help the little ones learn how to launch their car like an animal!! :mischievous:

The requirements of my drag cars to be shown to the public:
1. ALL OF MY MODERN FF'S MUST RUN 11.999 OR QUICKER!!
2. ALL OF MY MODERN AWD'S MUST RUN 7.999 OR QUICKER!!
3. ALL OF MY MODERN RWD'S MUST RUN 8.999 OR QUICKER!!
4. ALL OF MY RETRO CARS (Pre-84) MUST RUN 10.999 OR QUICKER!!

The cars:

HONDA INTEGRA TYPE R DC5 "WHITE LIGHTNING" - 326Kw/340Kw - 11.668 - Completed

Welcome to hell mate!

Edit:
Even though these editions are only using the 4.6L quad cam, they are supercharged like the real things and produce as much power aswell.

No they don't.

They use the 2-cam 3-valve setup, one cam per bank of cylinders.

I always thought it was the old 4.6L quad cam that we use the heads off for our 5.4L quad cams (XR8, FPV GT). Ohwell, I'll adjust it as such.

Could've given me a little creative freedom there RJ. :P Still, I got the power figures on those ponies pretty right.

It is, but Mustang GTs have always been given SOHC 2-valve motors, save for the 05+ models which have a 3-valve setup.

Cobras, Lincoln Mark VIIIs, and Navigators are the only vehicles to get the 4-valve motors.
