The Honda Accord Euro has been heralded as one of the best family cars on the market for a few years now, meshing great performance with good fuel economy, conservative looks and sensibility for taking five people to the relatives house for dinner. GME decided that while they were some good party tricks, it wasn’t enough and has turned to Honda’s racing arm, Mugen for some added inspiration and parts to create the Accord Type R Turbo. The H22A motor has been blasphemised, with a small Stage 1 turbocharger accompanying the rest of the usual GME overhaul. The result now is we’ve given this Accord a mean, even 300hp & 300Nm of torque and we’ve gone against the Honda/Mugen mantra of NA performance being the key to success. I believe boost is best for this puppy and the figures represent the versatility of the Mugen Accord. The suspension has been left supple rather than stiff, focusing on a smooth ride while maintaining great cornering speeds for a FF, especially for a car without a wing.

The Mugen Accord Turbo. Deceptive looks, with even more deceptive performance.

*SPOILER ALERT*
Mafiaboy has made an awesome M3 GTR. I've had the honour of driving it and he's sent me the specs but I reckon ppl should pressure him to release it, it's very very good and would be a great teaser for the next batch.

The C5 Corvette, America’s answer to the European sports cars and desired by muscle car lovers all over the world. GME has come back with a BANG by bringing you the C5 ZR-1, in direct homage to the C6 ZR-1. Starting off with your average C5 Vette, the monkey’s have turned this bad boy into a chest beating gorilla by supercharging the LS1 motor and fitting all the goodies to it. The result of this is over 600hp and nearly 830Nm of torque, enough to make the Earth rotate if given the chance. It tears through the 1/4 mile in 11.681 and an amazing time at GVS of a 1.54:827 makes this the quickest and fastest road division car that GME has EVER produced.

The Corvette ZR-1, American muscle has just been put on steroids thanks to GME.

Interesting, no decklid spoiler. I'll be back in a bit with my review. ;)

Okay, I'm back with my review.

Corvette C5 ZR-1 Tribute
Not For The Faint Of Heart.
Driving this car is a hairy experience and I mean big clumps of hair.. I wouldn't really reccomend it unless to seasoned drivers. It responds best, oddly, to ham-fisted driving style; hard on the gas, slam the brakes, although it has a bump steer issue I noticed on the Nür, either a low suspension or spring-rate issue. If you're prepared for it, you can prevent it, however the first lap is.... Hairy. Power is prodigious. Anything less that third gear will enable rotation, either in excess of the tires or the ass of the car mid-corner, which is fun. It's a drifty car, depending on the course. On Suzuka, it had a great deal of understeer upon braking; rather odd considering the brakes were as strong as ox farts. Touching the gas and occasionally goosing it mid-corner produced the best results.

Quite the treat at the Nür, though. The drifty passive-aggressive ham-fisted attitude works best here.

Best Suzuka Flying Lap (Out of 7): 2'06.928
Best Nürburgring Flying Lap (Out of 3): 6'49.828

Cheers,
Jetboy

Thanks for the feedback JB. 👍 The understeer issue comes more from the fact she's so bloody quick, so you think you're going the right speed but in reality you're doing about 40km/h faster than you should be but I'll look into it more and might do a tweak or two. ;)

Next up.....I'll put up PF's suggestion, the M3 Race Car. :mischievous: Stay tuned.

The Proto Spirra, Korea’s answer to the supercar. With its Ford quad cam 4.6L V8 giving it great performance, it just wasn’t enough. GME has unleashed all the gorillas out of this package, giving it a high revving 385Kw & 640Nm+ of torque, which has produced it’s quickest sprint figures to date. A 0-100 in the 3.4’s, a 1/4 Mile in only 10.8sec and a ferocious acceleration to 300km/h make this the scariest ride to come out of the GME garage. The result? The Proto Type R. It’s enough to make any driver respect it, or be slapped senseless by it.

The Mazda RX7 was well into its 8th Series when the Spirit R was released to the public. This limited edition RX7 only had 1500 produced, so its rarity is without question. GME has taken this jewel, stripped her out and fitted a nice exhaust, a huge intercooler and RE Amemiya turbos to make this puppy produce 540hp neat, requiring the car to pack 1kg of ballast to make the WPR grade. And this car is weapons grade. Short geared for a lot of tight circuits and semi-long straights, this car only has a top speed of 309km/h but it gets there in rapid pace! While this hasn’t been tested on R1’s, with S3’s it lapped GVS in exactly 1.50.0. The sky is the limit for R1’s!

The GME Spirit SP, special performance for an already spirited ride.

Just like your S2000 was in TCv5.

Ooooh I've got a S2K crotch massager and it's neon blue and it lights up in the exhaust so I must call it a blue lighter. :P

Your RUFs shall be part of this. I am looking forward to your cars, if memory serves, your's did well, in control and drivability.

The problem with this test is that I need a set-up for a Maz. Carol 360 Deluxe, and an A310 1600VE., but I have an idea...................!

Just informing the people who do check up on me through this thread that I won't be doing any form of car tuning in the near foreseeable future, or possibly again due to some medical problems that have popped up in the past 36hrs for me. I won't say what it is (and please respect my privacy by not asking what it is!) but it is a long term ailment that some people don't recover from and wind up become crippled for the rest of their lives.:(

Needless to say I am deeply saddened at this moment by the situation that has been presented to me but I'm going to hopefully have a semi-speedy recovery depending on how the medications react to my body and the tests that I will have to go through in the near future to provide a solution to fix me.

So to the people who have tested and driven GME's cars, I thank you from the bottom of my heart because your feedback has allowed me to build cars that rival and/or beat the best of the best of the GT4 tuning world and allowed me to tune cars that others won't touch with a 20ft pole. I hope that these tunes will continue to help new players in the future get the pleasure of driving that I had in building them in the first place. :)

Peace.

Mafs!!

Damn. What a bummer. If it makes you feel any better, I've had a few of those moments (with illnesses) but then I go to the doc and it's always something operable or curable. Been lucky. My luck goes to you now, mafs.

Feel for you Mafs, I'd send you my luck, if it was worth anything! Seriously though, I can draw a shortlist from what you have said, but I will refrain out of respect, I just hope that the medication takes and you return to our little corner of this mad little world to infuriate and entertain with your wonderful antics!

Look after yourself, remember that the whole GTP community is here for you if you need us.

Lachlan

Just to give you guys an update, the treatment is going alright so to speak....medication kills the pain temporarily but it's the actual physical movements (specific stretches and stuff) I have to perform that cause the most pain at the moment and it's like someone sticks a cattle brand down the inside of my body.

The specialist doctor has told me I have a surgical and a non-surgical route I can follow but the prognosis is that I will have this for a minimum of two years regardless of which route I take (due to waiting lists).

So as a last hurrah before GT5, I will release the M3 that PF raved about a while back, and I hope you enjoy it because it is in my opinion such a tuning masterpiece that it almost stayed in my personal collection forever.

Stay tuned and thanks for all the support guys, reading your comments have made me feel emotionally better. :)

Also, get ready.....because on November 2nd there are going to be some huge changes on the landscape for all involved......I WILL find out who the best of the best is and after 5 years of running the 1/4 mile thread, you know I'm not playing around when I say that THIS WILL BE BIG for the GT Community in general, not just GTPlanet, so spread the word. One or two people already know what's going on (shhh to those people! :sly: ) but you will all find out in a very short time what I've been doing on the sidelines while going through therapy to have the best of the best duelling it out once again. 👍

Thanks once again.

Mafs!!

I didn't know about your health issues until just now Mafs, sorry to hear about it.:(

The BMW M3 Race Car has been one of the good touring cars in GT4, capable of mixing it with JGTC’s and the CLK Race Car at any given moment. A couple of years back I decided that this wasn’t good enough and wanted to take it to the next level of competing with Le Mans spec cars. So the goal was to win the Dream Car championship, where LM cars are mixed in with other race cars for a mighty series. Now, I could’ve gone the easy route and told the monkeys to go nuts on it and give myself 600hp+, but on this occasion I wanted to use finesse rather than a sledgehammer. So I focused on turning this car into something that can handle on rails while still giving the driver the ability to go silly and have some sideways action if they wanted to provoke it. The motor is completely stock, only giving the car an oil change for a modest boost to just off 475hp, but the suspension settings have been fettled around with to the degree that it will stick like a fly to dung. Taking the car to the Dream Car championship I was pitted up against 661hp of Zonda LM. I thought that this would be a massacre, a car with nearly 200hp more and a lower weight will annihilate me.....it turned out to be the other way. Out of the 10 races, the only race I had trouble with was Seoul due to it being nothing but straights but still was able to get a win, but would advise the less experienced driver to fit a 50hp shot of nitrous for that race alone.

With it's stock R3 tyres fitted, this car was able to get around GVS in a 1.44.338.

The GME M3 Race Car, the most delicious bavarian you’ll ever have.
