That would be interesting/nice to have. Even use the livery editer to edit his suit and helmet.

highly doubt it... this is still a "driving simulator" as far as i know... not a "design your driving-shirt simulator"

well if it is it really should have it cuz racing drivers do not all look the same :sly:

In that case, may i also suggest that they (Sony-PD) allow you to take your PS-Home character and put him/her in GT5 for racing... (hint: only take the slim light body type, your car will weight less and have better performance during the race)

seriously, you have too much time... i can barely find the time to enjoy the driving part of GT5-P so much i have going in my other real life...

EDIT: Imagine Chun-Ly driving a Mercedes SL topless (the car that is)

I want it but only if they let me wear a sequined ball gown complete with chest hair, driving goggles and a hat made of fruit.

they should use the Stig, everyone would be cool with that.

It's also not a real track simulator, or a real physics simulator. This is the dumbest argument I have heard one too many times.

I see nothing wrong with customizable driving suits. I doubt it will be in GT5 tough.
Maybe it will be like GRID, however your team colors and cars look like, your suit will look like that too.

what you seem to confused is: features that really affect the driving, and those other features that just enhance the esthetic of the game...

i dont really see how the driver's shirt comes into play with the performance of the car.

I never said i was against that feature, i just dont see the real benefits of it in the game aside for the pleasures of bored-out-of-their-minds-kids such as yourself. I am not sure how your reasoning is for you to call me dumb, only maybe to compensate for your own lack of intelligence.

I'm just tired of people using "this is the real driving simulator, not the real ______ simulator" as an excuse to exclude said feature. Cool, all you guys can create your own game where you just drive, because I'll use all those other features.

It would help the game. Same as weather would, and a livery editor, and a photomode, and all other features that have nothing to do with driving.

I didn't call you dumb, but the choice of said words over an endless sentence everyone has used over 9000 times before is getting just a little old and worn out.

It was a fairly important feature of Tourist Trophy. You earned different riding gear as you progressed.

In Prologue, we already see suits of all different colours, just matched to the car manufacturer. Making this selectable by the user would then seem like a relatively simple addition, that adds a layer of customization. In a GT world that can be a little generic, it would be nice, especially as the online world grows.

That and custom license plates :)

This thread isn't about the drivers suit, its about the driver him/her self and the chance that we might be able to make ourselves in the game.

i would be happy to be able to choose the colour of the suit and helmet, more than that it's just silly

@ HappyCorey:

Sorry about whole the misunderstanding...

It's all cool with me, i just find it funny that you guys are always asking for so much more than what's really really needed, and then hear complains about how the game always get delayed...

I understand your point of view that GT5 would greatly benefit with all the GTP suggestions and would be the greatest game if it includes all the fore-mentioned options...

But at this point, despite working as hard as PD does, they still have to compromise on some of those choices.

i too, would love to have the capability for more personalization (license plate, drivers hair style, and what not, etc ) ... but first of all i want to lay my hands of this game and drive it first... all those additions can come later in GT6.

my apologies for sounding like i was attacking you personally... i was not...

Happy readings and waiting,

lol

kratos in tvr speed 12 is such a badass combo :D

@ HappyCorey:

And I understand how you don't want any further delays. Within these 5 years I'm sure that they have features we haven't even thought of, and enough to enjoy for some time, and for GT6 much more will be added, but I think they have much more in store than we think. More than a bare bones GT5

For sure on that one!👍

In Tourist Trophy you can change your riding gear, helmet etc. I assume in GT5 now the driver is fully visable you can do the same.

Oh so you're saying that graphics aren't important either since they do not affect the driving and just enhance the esthetic of the game ? :dopey:

Seriously man... it would be a nice little feature and if people want a livery editor why not design your racing suit or helmet as well ? Wouldn't even take much time to develop and if you don't like it, don't use it.

oh and he never said you were dumb... he said your argument was dumb. Aand it was.
If it's only for people who are bored out of ther minds how come you use an avatar on this very forum ? It would pretty much be the same in GT5
*CTznOfTime mode on* You must have a boring life and too much time :dopey:*CTznOfTime mode off*

And please grow up... being a keyboard warrior won't get you anywhere in your "other real life" where you got soo much stuff going on... Obviously more than me of course ! If you don't have time for anything cuz your so busy not spending time in front of your computer then how is it that you've already have more posts than me even though you're only on here for about a month ?

I don't want to start a fight and will not discuss this with you any further but please don't attack members that don't share the same view...

might be... just don't like when people who don't know me say I have too much time on my hands ;]

I honestly have too much time on my hands, so I took no offense to it

I got confused at first and I was thinking you'd be talking about the ability for GT to record online player driving styles and mix match them with the AI one in the offline game kinda like some of the fighting games have done in the past.

I don't really care about customizing the actual driver though, sure it'd be a nice bonus but I think resources should be put elsewhere!

It is possible. If there is head tracking in GT5, you'll be able to view almost every part of the interior of a car. Including the driver and co-driver. Right?

some of us are taking what will or will not be put in the game way too serious. Let's remember here, Kaz is the one that decide what will be GT. Us gamer have these forum to suggest what we would like to see in the game, then Kaz and PD will decide whether or not they want to do those thing. So why not suggest all we want so, it doesn't hurt to dream. It's not like we say we want a cup holder and they will actually delay the game to please us.
Anyway, just relax guys and be patient cuz no matter how much we want to play GT5 right now, it will be out when it's ready to.

What's an "esthetic"?

Is that like when you mix colours in your text and stuff?
:dopey::sly:
