Well...at least we'll have different colours of Stigs, so it won't be too bad.
Just an afterthought, I wonder if GT franchise would move beyond the avatar and allow us to customize our own garage as well. Obviously not a full-blown scale to build one from the scratch and create the ones in the video, but wow...those would be some nice photomode locations. 👍
Automodellista had customizable garages. You picked one of three or four themes as Your garage and as You progressed in game You unlocked tools, cabinets, benches, tireracks, sand blasters, oildrums, posters, jackstands and what not. Everything a growing racer needs. There was even stuff available to turn the garage into a lounge.
It was a nice feature in a kinda' cool game with Manga-style (?) graphics, marvellous Japanese mountain roads for point to point races and "Wangan-style" expressways for circuit racing. Lots of real world tuner parts to build You a seriously souped up domestic (Japanese cars only in a Japanese setting).
But it was way too arcade-ish to enjoy properly. Fun ended fast.
I would imagine once you set certain aspects of your avatar, like their actual human physical eatures, you wouldn't be able to adjust that again. However things like racing suits and other clothing I would imagine should remain open.
This would make more sense, in general.
Unfortunately, "clothing" was specifically mentioned in the translation. Perhaps there is some sort of ambiguity / idiomatic flexibility between the terms, but it doesn't look good.
Again if Tourist Trophy acts as an indicator this could very well be an option as in TT you could choose vintage leather racing suits and an old helmet/driving gloves as well ( for the classic bikes ) and more casual wear ( a selection of jeans/ leather boots/ jackets ) in several styles.
Does anyone remember that leather jacket with the skeleton graphic on both sides?
It was the retro outfit from TT I had in mind, but I've only seen it in pictures on here. Do you have to get a certain license or have to gold a license to unlock them?
Including the Tag Heuer Monaco hopefully.
Don't ask me why, but GT5 is reminding me of the Sims all of a sudden.
The thing I don't want is racing my JGTC Supra or other racecar in casual clothing.
Then put on a racing suit whilst driving them.
Ok, but what about driving your classic cars then? I think all racingcars will have their manufacturers clothing. Same could be when you are racing your 'normal' cars. Maybe the clothing will only be available when you are driving in photomode or timetrail?
Mattias Ekstroms three comfirmed cars????
I'd still want to change clothes on a whim.
Actually please do that in a changing room. We don't need to see that online![]()
