Thanks to the recent news of confirmed enviorment shifts with weather and day & night, this is one less thing for us to worry about. But there's one I'm sure all of you, OK, MOST OF YOU are asking for.

Customization

If it's even added, how would you like it to be used? In a classy, subtle, changing matter, as in rims, trim, and slight vinyls? Or some 'hood style, ridiculous looking Midnight Club: LA (I still haven't gotten over the Lambo with boobs and Aston Martin with weed on it)? Or maybe a balanced NFS style of customization, for that racey and decals look?

What's your opinion? For me, it's definatly the NFS style of customizing.

I'd like to see racing-focussed customisation, so I can max out the performance and function of my car... and then hard park it. ;)

Given the nature of the game, if a livery editor and customisation are in, I'd rather see them stay true to real life and real racing in terms of what they offer.

Agreed but truthfully rims, spoilers and such have an affect on the performance of a vehicle and obviously the looks. You wonder if having a spoiler or lighter rims will affect the physics/performance of the cars if the options are available. So many questions...

Also, I remember hearing way back when about an online store eventually with real performance parts/upgrades. I think they said it won't be in the final version but DLC it could still come.

If I want to deck my car out with chrome paint you're going to place behind me and like it.

Jokes, the finishing ahead on the podium part. :)

I would like plenty of body alterations, but not the crued intention to look good and nothing more yet still often fails kits. Kits that affect the cars performance, really the important ones imo are what Forza 3 has on almost every car, a visual front splitter (though I'd like a choise of sizes with and without cannards, the Forza 3 one is too big for some cars imo) and rear wings and spoilers. If they could improve on GT4's wing selections then that is only heading in the right direction. Regarding the rest of the kits, if the concept by GT cars in GT5:P are any indication of what to expect, then we have nothing to worry about.

different exhaust systems with different sound signatures.

different light setup for night races. bigger light, heavier car. smaller light, less visibility.

Nothing we can do, just trust PD and wait. give them time to express their passion to the fullest.

Honestly I really hope they come up with the same sort of livery system like Forza 2/3 because I always personally felt that one of the reasons why I didn't totally love GT4 was because besides selecting the color of the car when buying the car (which you then couldn't change later on) you couldn't make the car more 'personal' with your custom designs.

This is one of the reasons why I currently like Forza 3. Some of the cars look like at first glance they were made with a computer photo editor. I am hopeful though with GT5 and I actually just bought a PS3 slim this christmas and am waiting for its release.

So this will be the order of the day:

I would like a large selection of rims. At least a few different aero mods in the form of body kits and wings for each car, and i would really like to see the return of the racing modification, including full race style adjustable aero kits and carbon fiber body panels, stripped interior etc...Also give me like a basic paint shop, and maybe a whole boat load of manufacturer decals so i can do my own sponsorships and such...

i would be content with that...

Perfomance mainly. A variety of rims, aeroparts such as front splitters, rear wings, front winglets for the frontal area of the fenders, diffusers, different airducts and vents for brakes and engine, wider fenders and so on.
Paint and decals are mandatory these days IMO. I want to be able to create a custom paintjob for my car.

'hood style, ridiculous looking Midnight Club: LA (I still haven't gotten over the Lambo with boobs and Aston Martin with weed on it)?

kinda that's kinda "Gimmicky" no????💡

but ANYWAYS....

i would like to see some real mods by Japanese manufactures... like Mugen, Spoon, Origin, Nismo... and im not talking about their cars... im talking about buy a regular Nissan and putting Nismo parts on it.

some body-kits... nothing over the top or anything like a "Ricer"... FM3 has a really good customization options... if GT5 has customization that is close to FM3 then im ok with that...

i hope there is a good selection of rims and i hope you can alter the size of the wheel and tires both front and back.

That would be something, but then it'd require PD to gather nearly all the cars in the game & then record them with different exhausts.

Perhaps they could go the FM2 route when you had a few upgrades & make it a little louder to bring out what you did (i.e. Race Cams producing that loud, thunderous sound).

There was a screenshot from a show with kaz talking, that showed that EVERY level of the car will be customized everything internal and external and plus some.

Real life body and aero kits should be included for a wide variety of cars, I'm good on not having fantasy ones though since they typically look awful. Rims, with adjustable sizes are a must too. Other than that include a livery editor like Forza has and I'll be pretty happy with the customisation.

Different tire sizes!!!! Not only N1,2,3, S1... We should change the default tire size of almost every car in the game.... This is a must in for me

Yet another call for a livery painter. Being able to recreate just about any race car within the bounds of the cars available, or creating your own, is the one thing to me that makes Forza special. Why wait for DLC to give you a famous race car you'd love to add to the stable, when you can either paint it yourself or pay someone with game credits to do it? This is something I called for way back in 2005.

It's going to be very difficult to have any kind of club or team support in GT5 without some sort of paint shop.

Racing Customisation would be best.

They just need to give a few more options over GT4 for Tuning, and give us racing bodykits. the i'll be happy :)

^I agree, however, judging by the tuned 370z in the time trial, it looks like it'll be just rims and wings as it was in GT4. I know that we shouldn't judge the final product by the time trial demo but that's the feeling that it's giving me.

I remember ages ago in a very old interview (I think) kaz talking about customization and saying that every part of the car was modeled separately so they could be changed and such.

Judging by the demo and the GT concepts I think the customization will be good enough.

yes PLEASE!!!!

it is "THE REAL SIMULATOR" and in real life i can put 235 or 225/40-17 in the front and 245 or 255-/40-17 on the back.

and not just tire size... Wheel size too and a bigger rim collection would hit the spot.

I always thought it was weird in GT4 that there were a variety of different aftermarket upgrades available from different companies, but they are all exactly the same! Why not make one company sell one turbo kit, and another sell a different one. There is no need to have all those 3rd party upgrades when most companies have their own in-house tuning brands offering the same exact parts at the same exact price. I just thought it would be cool to give us a reason to shop around.

A paint shop, livery editor, wide selection of rims with choices in rim size, different hoods, front splitters, rear spoilers, different steering wheels, being able to change the height and width of tires, more upgrades such as cams and headers, also brand name parts such as Flowmaster exhaust.. decals, and there is more but thats as much as I can see making it in..

Or some 'hood style, ridiculous looking Midnight Club: LA (I still haven't gotten over the Lambo with boobs and Aston Martin with weed on it)?

I hate MCLA for that reason i make replicas and i get a 1 or a 1.5 on rate my ride...
Who knew how many people hated Colin McRae's Focus RS

Personaly would rather not see a penis/whatever drawn on a Ferrari 458 the first time I go online - we all know Clarkson, May and Hammond play GT ;)
However I would like some tuning company liveries though, and have my name and country flag somewhere on the car.
