As long as it doesn't include neon underlighting and a sound system "in da trunk", I'll be fine.
There was a screenshot from a show with kaz talking, that showed that EVERY level of the car will be customized everything internal and external and plus some.
Yeah, seriously. If GT5 doesn't have a livery editor, I can hardly wait to hear the arguments between clubs of who "officially" picked the Raybrig NSX as their online club racer.I think in this day now, with online racing available, it's important to be able to customise your car.
Quite the opposite really. Those who don't want it are those who are out socialising and do not have the time to go painting their cars like gamers who never leave the house and spend all night locked in their room. Some of you people afraid of livery editors must be shut-ins who never leave the house, watch TV or read a magazine...
And how is my quote as silly?Yes, what I wrote there was a bit silly, much like the quote.
pay a visit to the FM3 "Drifters Lounge" and look at the post "Show your car 2.0"
some AMAZING stuff being done there... YES SOME of the stuff is kinda midnight Club type rubish...
but MOST of the work people do there is really good down to the bone JDM, Drift, Tuner mods and visuals.
if GT5 customization is anything like FM3 i will be happy.
plus Livery can be really interesting... but i doubt GT5 will have one...
i know most people want GT for the "Drive" but in all honesty... games are made to be fun... you want to race a car and get a real feel for it??? go do it in real life...
^well put.........
Don't get me wrong, I'm not dead set against a livery editor, some of the designs can be really very good like Tenacious D's. But my concern is for every one of them there will be some hideous stuff on some really beautifully designed cars .
but really who cares? if someone wants to put a 4ft aluminum wing, 23 inch chrome spinners, neon lights and a wild paint job on Ferrari 458 then more power to them...
1. its a video game
2. they like it
3. it doesnt hurt you or anyone else in ANY way
4. nobody would be forcing you to do it
Anyway for those that want it I hope it's in, the more features the better IMO 👍
Firstly, I don't understand the infatuation with the cars others will be driving. A livery editor would make it possible to (re)create the cars YOU want. In my opinion, owning and making the cars I want outweighs seeing stupid cars on the racetrack.
Secondly, it's like saying you don't want to race with punters. Fair enough, if you're in a serious racing private room, as I assume many here would like to be in, how likely are you to see cars with penises painted on?
There are hideous liveries in real life racing too, just as there are silly mods on the roads. I might be going all marketing here, but we're in 2010, people want to have the choice to interact with their product on their own terms.
Personally I couldn't care less for Pimp my ride style mods, but personally I don't care if they are in as long as the type of racing mods I'm after are in. Racing online, I can find others who share my passions, and interact with them.
While I agree that not having a livery shop in GT5 =/= fail, it would be a sore point with many people. There are basically three reasons why a livery editor plus race mod would be a key ingredient in GT5:(liveries) would just be an added bonus to help your car stand out from the others when you race online, lol i hate in prologue when every car is the same and mostly the same colour

(...) Notice all that "real life" in there.
See, you don't have to participate in any aspect of GT5 you don't want to. Drifting is in GT5 too. I think drifting is dumb. Should I then rant to everyone that they shouldn't be allowed to do it, since it has nothing to do with "driving" or racing?
Of course, it is a part of motorsports. Then again, so is livery painting... (...)
That would make an interesting debate, because of basically three factors:(don't agree with drifting not being driving, but that's another subject)
