why are they calling b spec drvers bob?

Because it's the most generic name ever. Just like Hwoarang is called Bob in Tekken. It's the most simple name you can give something that a) doesn't deserve a real name or b) has to many different/too difficult a name to use that.

Its a nickname the B-spec driver from GT4 got on the forums here years ago (i.e. when GT4 launched) and its stuck ever since.

I don't 100% recall who started it, but the first person I can recall using it was Famine.

That's interesting to know. I thought because they were struggling or whatever with the B-Spec racers, and named them Bob because "B" looks like a scrunched together 13. "What's your name?" "Bob." "Get the heck away!"

I use different names for different drivers that begin with B. I.e one is called Bartholemew and one berty. As you do :D
