I have 4 Bobs

B-Spec LVL: 28

Bob 1 - LVL 24
Bob 2 - LVL 21
Bob 3 - LVL 21
Bob 4 - LVL 21

with Minolta.

can I win?

Who finished indy 500 on B-Spec, How do you made?

I'd like to win an easy way ... put the drivers to run and go do something else. Is possibile?

If your Minolta is tuned for max HP, then YES you'll win. By about 4-8 laps (depending on pitting).

Be sure to turn off all pit strategy. They will drive fine without any strength.

Edit: make sure to bump your transmission up a few notches too!

I put 4 Level O Bob in this race using the maxed out Minolta. Only things I did is put racing soft on it and change the top speed to 246. Start the race and come back 2 1/2 hours later and restart the process.

Does everyone else have pit stops take FOREVER? I seem to notice it more in this race than others. It takes a minute to get in and out of the pit lane. It may be because the laps are so short that I notice it but I will be 1-2 laps ahead of 2nd place and come out in 4th.

Always put in the minimum amount of fuel you can get away with because thats what takes the time ,not the tyres.

Yeah my pit stops are long at indy. I'm guessing they're 2 minutes long? Hard to know for sure without checking because it affects two different laps and I'm not running Indy anymore.

Won't I then run out of fuel or have to pit more often for fuel?

I don't think I'm going to run Indy again until I get the Formula GT.

That's what happened to me! I quit the race because I didn't think my car was fast enough. I think it will depend mostly on when that last pit stop is.

I went to the Pit Stop and came in ninth place. Is this normal?
Will I be able to be back first?

If you entered the pits in first you should be fine. I'm usually 1 lap ahead when it's time for the first pit stop.

Edit: PS, if your watching it that close. Try hitting the pace up button every once in awhile. LOL

Average Pit Stop Length for Unattended Bob's in the Minolta is 1 min 57secs

Car Takes 97/8 Ltr's each Time Except the last Stop , then it's just enough to Finish the Race ,

So if you check on Bob on the last Section of the Race and think he's not far enough ahead be Warned he may run out of Fuel if you start Pacing him up too much

Over the two laps that you make a pit stop on the Indy 500, you will lose about 100s, assuming you fill it full of gas from near empty. I paid attention to this a couple times while doing it in A-Spec: The in lap adds about 1:20 (80s) and the outlap adds about 18-20s. A two lap advantage will guarantee you remain in position, but realize that if you're on the same strategy as the other A.I.s, you'll cycle back into the lead eventually, if not just outright drive back into it, since they'll have to pit eventually.

Just as data backing this up, I would do the 500 in my FGT. Average lap would be somewhere around 38.5 to 39.5, depending on how good the oil was in the car. Getting the car to near empty, the in lap would usually have me cross the line at about 2:00 (as your stall is about 50 feet in front of the line). The Outlap would then have a lap time around 57s. 78s for 2 laps at speed, vs 177s for 2 laps in/out is about a 100s loss. So you need about a 2-1/2 lap lead to maintain position.

Thats something that is nice in the FGT it is so light It hardly burns any gas, it goes for a long time before needing gas and gets plenty far enough ahead that it doesnt matter how long it pits for.

If I ever flipping find one of them bloody FGT things I may let Bob play with it . i'll be hiding behind the sofa whilst he's driving it though :dopey:

Is everyone using soft or hard tires?

I've allways used Softs the Minolta Will Usually Run out of Fuel before the Tyres Wear out

I say usually because if you nag Bob's they'll go Faster then its 50/50 which will Wear out the Fuel or the Tyres

Ugh. Well with everyone's input I just started this race again with 2 of my top drivers (30 and 29). I figured I would leave nothing along those lines to chance. I'm paying attention to the race from another room and trying to keep Bob in the middle, not too hot yet not too cold. After 16 laps Bob has a lead of ~35s and half a tank of fuel. Not quite developing into the delta time I'm hoping for. I like pitting from the lead and coming back out in the lead, but I'm only pitting when fuel is low/automatically. Oh well...I will keep everyone updated.

is it really that hard to win with the minolta? I started this race before work at 8:30am so I wont know the outcome till I get home really really late tonight... but I was getting dressed while it started and within a few laps he had a huge lead, I wanna say at least 20-30 seconds.... and growing. putting down consistent 42 second laptimes.

First Full on INDY 500 in B-Spec I had to Nag all the Bob's to Death they won by just over 17 seconds

2nd Race by 3 Laps

3rd by 4 laps

4th by 4 laps again

5th by 5 Laps this time without any input from me as they level up past 29 they get a lot better and less time consuming

6th Race is on now and there well in the lead with 42 laps to go

The R8 Audi's are the Main Problems during the Races and it is a Madcap Dash of a Race . I found it more Difficult to win when I first put te Bob's in but with a bit of Nagging they've got there fine

All the Races where done in the Minolta 👍

If there left to it they'll slow down to the late 45 seconds a lap sometimes even 48's when overtaking :grumpy:

Yea Bob seems to be doing fine now he just pitted from the lead after just lapping 2nd place a third time on the in lap and came out with the lead as well. I took my first pit stop at lap 34...should be good to stop just about every sixth of the race. Here are some stats about my race so far in a 1000hp+ Minolta.

Average Lap Time: 43.5s
In-lap: 2:02.675
Out-lap: 1:01.530
