i just did. i will leave his name out. but here's how it went down:

DAG0-CHOPPERS61
XXXXXXXXX
Gold for Ford race car that is worth 20 million. Add me XXXXXXX on psn. I can send now.

add DAGO-CHOPPERS619 i have to boot up now

I might not be on for a few mins. Add me XXXXXXX. Its easier for you to remember mine then me remember yours lol. Um you send first because i am still skeptical about the gold chrome.

So i added said person, waited 15 mins for him to send car, then sent a message saying. are you going to send car?

his reply: i allready made a trade today. but we can do it tomorrow.

Really? read his 1st pm he sent me. i can send now. AND he wanted me to send 1st!

BUSTED!

and he didn't reply to my post for a trade. he send me a pm. trying to be sneaky.

we want trusted traders on these boards!!

thank you

PS: he not a new member also. he's been here since july 2010.

I was in a trading lobby today and a guy that scammed me before entered the room and had the nerve to take out the car he scammed from me and continuously deny he scammed me..,....how was your day?

Rule of thumb I have learned, never make a trade without making sure the car given up can't be replaced. I have never lost a car via a trade and I never plan to. Anyone who refuses to send anything in return I just mark as a dunderhead.

Lol @ m-power

maybe he thought he was gonna pull a fast one on me. with my 230+ trades:ouch:

If it's not GTP policy why not throw out his name. Maybe he will show up and entertain.

I don't think you are allowed to call the person out. There is a policy for the rules but I don't remember it offhand.

This guy/girl that scammed you. About how many posts did he have and did he/she have a trading record or thread?

Myself and a couple of other people called a guy out a little over a week ago. He tried to pass me off for over a week, and when I finally checked his other posts, I noticed he was apparently taking a couple of other people.
I just asked for the car owed to me, and he flipped out and tried calling me a scammer.
He got pretty nasty and a verbal fight went down between him and another member.
It was kind of funny, but totally unnecessary.
He deleted the friend request shortly after and I obviously never got my car, but at least he was kicked off the site for language.
Just can't understand why someone would try to do it.
With duping and reputations, why screw up a good thing?

I sent a Xanavi GT-R '00 (fairly rare car - mygranturismo shows it as a 10)
Was supposed to get a Lvl 21 ticket.
No biggie. I'll get one from B-Spec soon. I just have to finish the Formula series.
Still don't like getting scammed though )

my 3 gold chips for a mark iv. its posted at top.

$50 you missed the big ones then $160 for a f gt. $210 for a x1. $55 for a tricked out enzo LOL

I was scammed once. Traded with a guy who wanted to complete before trade day ended. I thought the trade was fare so I send him the car. Then he went offline and didn't come back for 10 hours. While gone myself and about 3 or 4 other were all complaining about the same thing, we all got done! Well he came back with all the excuses under the sun, I wouldn't let it rest and started giving him a hard time. He ended up swearing and foul mouthing and got banned. He set up a new I'd here and contacted me, turns out this punk sell his cars online and has made a measly 300 pound!

So after him I am a little cautious and wanted to trade some paint last night. We agreed on the trade and because he had no trade history and had like 20 posts I said he had to sent first. He wouldn't, saying I wanted his paint so I had to send first etc. Trade didn't happen, not sure if he was a scammer but looked a bit dodgy.

The only time I got scammed is when I traded a guy from a lobby called "Legit traders only, no scammers!!!"...
