ever caught a scammer?

yea I send first because i have bad habit of trying to trade before my reset lol.....looks like im trying to scam if im like opps cant trade lol
 
When i sent PM you were the only person i had to send to but you wanted me to send first. I dont like sending first because you dont know who you are sending to. So another guy PM'ed me and he sent first so i sent him an X2010 for it. Ive been scammed too many times on here from sending first so i dont really do it no more unless i know the person or do a rep search on them. Ive sent 300 plus cars through multiple account trades. Search my rep on rep search thing. 100% positive. Sorry I dropped out of trade so late. If you wanna trade again I could do a trade a reset in 18hours. Again sorry for dropping out of trade. I am one of the most know people on GTP for my very popular threads with over 30,000 replies and views and for in the feedback section. #1 topic. In game saves. A must for endurance in my opinion. If you wanna try the trade again let me know. Happy racing buddy

And no the thread's totally the opposite than what I had in mind.
I've traded multiple times here too and I caught several of them and got them banned, so you don't have to tell me they exist.
 
I was almost scammed out of a gold chrome chip today in an online trade room. He was the host and both of us were conveniently "disconnected" from the server when I asked him to bring out the calibra I wanted for the chip. Then he friended me and asked to send it first, but after I told him to change into the calibra so I can see it in the log, he just deleted himself from my psn list.
 
Bit of a pointless thread really if you aren't going to tell us who the guy is so we can avoid him.

I find the most trustworthy traders are in fact dupers :)

Yeh but I mean it is ironic ... For me I trust anyone who dupes more than enough to trade with even though some people class them as cheaters! :P Dupers keep the trade system honest IMO.
 
I guess another reason why dupers are more trusted is that they do more then one trade or have what I like to call a little dealership.

Someone paid 50 bucks for something that doesn't exist?

Probably was a rich kid or footballer who paid for it then found out he couldn't drive the damn thing anyway. I'm proud to say I earned both of mine (S Vettel Special & B spec Lvl 35) which is surely the point. If I'd paid money for it, I'd be keeping my head down.

At one time a X2010 Prototype went for just under $350.


Anyway, I've almost always traded first and I'm yet to get ripped off. I've probley made about 100 trdaes and had no problems yet. My only negative things is that once I backed out of a trade with Dago kinda late, but we figured out a compromise.

Yes and no. In my situation, turns out the guy was selling cars, so I can only imagine he sell every car in the game, when someone pays for a car he gets it on the market and uses that slot to send the car to the payer and not returning the trade.

By the time they sent the car I had already gone away for a week, now because of the 1.07 patch I can't send the car they asked for and I'm going to have to send them a different car when I'm back home =[

I'm just praying for them to undo the 1million limit so I can send the car this guy asked for =[

Did you inform him of the problem? And the sender will be able to see in you log that you never received. Genuine mistake and understandable. Hope the sender can see it this way lol

Lol WTF?? Try that theory in the market place. Guess this is why we have 1.07 because people were not giddily they were trading. Then again itight be because people were selling om eBay and the likes who knows.

A "handshake" deal is a deal man.

I thought I was being scammed before In similar circumatances to the OP. I agreed to send a spare Speed 12 (which I bought just to trade) to someone in exchange for a Peugeot 908. They said they'd try to send on the sunday if another trade fell through, or on the monday if the other trade went ahead. So on the Saturday I sent the car as I had other trades booked as well. Monday came and went and nothing. I sent messages on here, PSN and the system in GT5 and no reply. 2 weeks later he replied and sent the Peugeot.

@alx-ndr the trade limit has been suspended till March 3rd so you've got until then to send them the car.
 
I've made 6 trades, all through this site, and I sent first in all of them I think. I traded cars I did not care to drive so if I got scammed then it wouldn't suck that bad.

I just try to trade on here ... I've never had a problem ... I saw a guy wanting to trade a 787B in an online room so I took him up on it, tbh I saw his username and thought ... he is definately duping, so I trusted him, sent my car, and got the 787B back in return (can't remember what car I sent him now) Guess I've just been lucky so far though :)

I've probably done about 30-40 trades now and all have gone well so far :)

My advice is just back up before you send, then if you don't receive the car you can restore the back up and get your car, if you receive the car as planned then you have no need for the back up :)
 
I like everybody else would hate to be scammed!
Hasn't happened yet but im always cautious unless they have a very good trading record. Or ofcourse if i have traded with them before.
 
I got caught up once here. Some fool was collecting Bugatti's, we made the deal I went to send the car, he went to his post and changed the deal lol. He than got all p o ed and refused to send and all that stuff. did it to some others as well got banned, came back got banned again, came back and finally got banned and I haven't seen him here since.
I know the chain because he would come back and start a new thread exactly the same as the others, and use the same psn id. Just a idiot I guess. I backed it before sending so I lost nothing. I learned that sometimes when a person is in a hurry to make a deal, you need to look into the person's trading history.
 
how can people be so %#%%^$ pathetic to cheat at a video game.

some @#$ said I was a hacker while playing bad company 2 because I kept killing him (I don't know how to hack and I don't care to know). maybe if he wasn't a idiot and running in the middle of the map for everyone to see he wouldn't die so much.
 
That's not any good bro... I didn't know that the new patch had a 1 mill limit. Ouch!!! Wish I would of kept on trading instead of actually driving the cars I had got. =/ Scammer's are funny to me they are really that desperate. But then again, ive only been scammed twice.
 
Good work Dago. However and I hate to say this because I have also Bren scammed but be carefull what you post dude. Read up on the traders reputation thread. You could land yourself a warning if not carefull. Hey man I disagree with the rules and wiuld love to name my scammer but I have already had a warning for doing it.

Sounds like the way I lost my matte black. :grumpy: I hope karma gets those people and their GT5 save game has a glitch and makes them lose their save data. :D

its ok bro. i never named/blacklisted anybody. if the mods put 2+2 together. this said person needs a ban!

i'm sorry but i'm tired of people thinking it's ok to rip others off.

it is 10x's worse in online rooms:tdown:
