There has to be a small minority that ruin it for everyone. Just wish we could start up a blacklist thread, at the same time I understand why not.

The moderators cannot ban people for ripping others off in the game. They have no jurisdiction there. Once you're off the forums, they have no control over what you do. So if you believe you have been the victim of a bad trade, you should use the grief reporting function on the PSN homepage. This thread makes it pretty clear what the position of the moderators is. The reason why you are not permitted to accuse anyone of wrongdoing is quite simple: the moment the accused discovers the post/thread where you name them, they instantly attack and the whole thing degenerates into a flame war. On the rare occasions that someone is banned for ripping others off, it's because they openly admit to it.

And if I were still a moderator, I'd have to say that leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for the moderators to follow, ultimately leading them to the person you believe ripped you off is just as bad as naming them outright. But that's just me.

Actually, the forums are open to anyone who wants to use them, provided they follow the AUP. There is nothing in the AUP that states a forum user must have a certain reputation when it comes to trading. The forum staff have made it quite clear since the day the first trading thread was opened up that any trades you undertook were at your own risk.
