I salute to an automotive legend. Goodbye Evo!
We will not see a sports car from Mitsubishi for years to come from what they seems to say. So not a replacement either.
And Mitsubishi USA is officially dead.
...and Mitsubishi's automotive division has just gone out of business.
Wow I am starting my car driving years next year ,looks like the Future for the automotive world is dull green and to some extent slow![]()
Wait, what? As far as I can tell, the Evo is the only reason anybody has even heard of Mitsubishi, and is what attracts people into the showroom to buy Lancers and Outlander Sports - the latter of which I've yet to see on the road - because they're the only other two worthwhile cars they make.

There are tons of new, fun to drive cars on the market, or soon to be released. All good.
In any event, if you're just getting old enough to drive you probably shouldn't be starting out in an Evo. 👍
I've seen far more Evo 10s than I have seen Ralliarts on the road. That's not to say that it's a bad car, just that nobody wants them because of the Evo.Well, there goes the American market, Mitsubishi. I mean, sure, the existence of the Lancer Ralliart almost completely negates the need for the Evolution in a strange way, but that doesn't make this idea any better. Granted, I got to know the Evolution much later than most folks, but the VII-IX were amazing vehicles.
I disagree. The Evo 10 is mighty popular around here, much moreso than the latest STis. I wouldn't personally choose the Evo 10 with the automatic, but I do respect its performance. It's an evolution, and it works. It's the only thing at Mitsu that works.Simply put, by putting everything they held dear about the performance of the Evolution aside for the Evo X model, well, it was the final nail in the coffin.
