I have an excellent layout for a FGT championship. You can copy the threads first post and use that, just change the pictures.

OK now somethings will need to be sorted.
1st - Enforce a PP limit which allows the F10 to max it out while the F2007 gets brought down to the same level. I will look up max PP of my F10. I say we use that. Possibly lower. e.g. 900.
2nd - I would hold a 2 lap qualification race and use a formation lap. Then you need to trust the drivers to all line appropriately on the grid. Alternatively you could just use 'Fastest First' and have no parade lap. Or have a rolling start. If you use the first option then you would have to post a 'total time' everyone would start at.
3. you need a driver list

my track suggstions : Suzuka, Monaco, Indy Road Course, Nurburgring GP/F, Monza, Madrid would be good (A spanish street circuit e.g. European GP) Tokyo R246 would be nice.

I was thinking the first pre-season race would be at Monza since its fairly easy and everyone knows it. Thats if I get enough people. I'm really going out on a limb here to try and get players to sign up.

Will Jav, and I'll base the time on GMT so the Euro's have an easy reference. The times on Sundays are flexible since I have all Sunday. Just need to get people in and discussing it. I changed it to 8 PM GMT which is around 2:00 here in the USA.

As for the F2007, I'd put it in first at 650 hp (broken in one runs at 723 hp). The F10 would be put in at 723 hp. Simple, easy way to even the field without sacrificing handling & grip.

Afraid I can't make the time! Would love to get involved, but alas, Sunday evenings I can't get online until around 10pm GMT, thanks very much for the invite though :D

EST is 5 hours behind GMT right? if so i wont be able to race.

Right now EST is only 4 hours behind because of DST.

Also I won't be able to join but I really appreciate the offer. I was in a F1 league here just a couple weeks ago and did one race and I won and then the guy in charge disbanded it because he forgot some Irish sport was starting and it conflicted with the races...

I love the F1 cars.

If I switched it to Saturday evening or Friday evening would that help? You guys name your times. Also if you sign up you can always back out later if things dont pan out. I just need entrants so it has a chance. It would be Really lame to not have an F1 championship in Gran Turismo.

I would like to try and join your race.

Im not a very good driver though, and i always drive with ABS 1. ( wich I think is standard for most people)

I just enjoy driving cars, although I am sorta slow compared with most of the hardcore guys. I am a clean and gentleman driver though. So I wont try to hold back guys that are faster than me or ram them, or other stupid things,

Dont know what you say about it, can i use ABS 1 ?

And also maybe if we start a litle earlyer would be better for European people like me, I could make it at 8 PM though, but prefer earlyer if everyone agrees.

Also I only have the F! 2007. Is there a big diference between them ? I may go and buy the new one also if it is so :-)

I would be interested in joining if the time changed.
PSN: CALM_DAN
Car: F10
#8
I will need to learn Manual gears though and racing without ABS because I usually have it on 1

Yeah, leave your PSN name and I'll put you in with an earlier evening start time The F2007 is the better car with a larger rear wing. After you I'm in need of about 3 more drivers to get a pre-season race in the books.

Time has been changed to 7 GMT. Oh and I'll allow ABS. Although lockups are fun to watch in real F1 racing. Manual using paddles if faster and easier than auto in some ways, for one its easier to learn the corners because you know which gear to be in for them. I'll allow Automatic transmission but thats as far as I go to keep the die-hards happy. Its my only hope of keeping this thing alive.

Im going to strongly recommend we have a PP cap for the championship of 880. My F10 has a maz PP of 891 or something so 880 will keep it fair and fast

I dont like the PP system, I think its BS when the cars are close.

The F2007s shall weigh in at 675 BHP before qualifying. The F10s will go in at 722. Same method as Super GT series. That will even it out. I dont think the 880 cap will do anything, F2007 will still go quicker if I did that. I could cap the F2007 at 880 before the F10 goes in, but thats silly. Ballast doesnt slow it down enough because the F2007's rear wing is so large you'd still run flat in it around high speed corners while the f10 is lifting. Best limit its speed on straights.

I'm interested, as long as the times remain the same. PM me any other details.
edit:I should also point out that i only have the F2007

Its up for grabs, vote for the first track. I'll add Inferno. When this wind/ "blizzard" ends here I'll try and get on PSN and get some of my other F1 friends on here (who are not GT planet members). Two of them are absolutely incredible. Like totally pro. 1:27-!.28 laps at Suzuka no assists incredible.

we have to trust people then

No I'll have the F2007 go in at 675, then I'll raise it to unlimited and the F10 will go in. Thats how the Super GT North America does it to even the Lexus out. I'll see how that works, I think it'll work just fine. I may run a pre-season race on Sunday if I can get about 2 more....
