Are there any features that you think should be in GT5 that just aren't there? What are they.

1. Something I want is the ability to better control the B-Spec Drivers. There should be more than just telling them go faster, go slower, maintain pace and overtake. Cuz lets face it if you gotta tell them THAT much you might as well just tell them everything so you can eliminate them from doing stupid stuff. Like passing on the outside of a wet sharp turn going too fast. I want the ability to say Draft up... Dive to the inside.... hard throttle off the turn for the overtake. They are obviously not able to do it themselves. Not when my lv 36 driver tries to pass to the outside of the final chicane on Spa Francochamps and gets forced into the run off and loses 3 spots.

2. Voice enabled control in B-Spec.

3.Feed back from the drivers. Maybe a little backtalk when you tell them to do something they can't possibly do. Like "Can't you see I haven't the strength do that?" When you tell him to pace up after his strength bar is depleted.

4. All these cars are NEKID!!! Gimme some vinyls to throw on these things lemme personalize a little.

5. This game is all about Racing cars and winning money. Why is there a cap on the the amount of money I can have. $20,000,000 is not enough for me to feel that I've established myself as a prime race car driver.

6. I want some feedback when I'm racing. Some guy on the radio going "hey stop $%%#@^ up."

7. Make other things cost money. Like fuel and parts to repair car.Tired of noobs online bashing you from behind going into a corner. Are you tired of those over privledged 14 yr old morons wall riding to pass you on the outside where they shouldnt have been had they any sense. Make em have to replace a front clip, quarter panel and a door for that wrinkled up enzo out of their prize money and they'll think twice before being so stupid.


Got any more.... Lemme hear it.

I want the ability to race modify more cars than whats on offer at the moment

No seriously.. I think there should be an age restriction on entering online lobbies. I was in one the other day and there was a 12 year old playing silly buggers in there.. 12. When I was 12 my Playstation didn't have the capability to use the internet.

Also, I wont repeat exactly what Wood said but I strongly agree with the money limit.. it should be either lifted or increased.

A larger range of bodykits/aero parts for the cars. Not in a ricer way but a serious, racing car way.

Service intervals for the cars instead of just oil change and engine rebuild ever 400 - 500 kms.. perhaps have a message pop up on the screen every 200 kms or so for a vehicle service.

That's all I can think of for now, what wood said about better B-Spec control is something I also agree with.

Definately the ablility to RM more cars. Remember back in like GT1 or GT2 you could Race modify like every single car? That was Awesome!!!

there might have been other topics similar but this ones different. 1. It's mine and 2. It was easier for me to find the start new thread button than it was for me to sort thru the 12,000 results it gave me for "Ideas for GT5" cuz the search literally scans and gives results for every thread that has any of the words "ideas", "for", and "GT5". After combing through several results that were given to me simply because someone had used the word "for" in the OP or a reply it made my head hurt so I started a new thread. :odd: ;)

They have the ford falcon race car and i thought i saw a commador. The Falcon Ute would be cool. Or maybe the Cobra Interceptor from the Mad Max movie. Not sure if I could endorse that one tho unless there was a was a decal on the hood that said "The Duck's Guts" and one on the speedo that said "Kick it in the guts, Barry".

GT4 Prize Car system, and get rid of the sell limit. Along with more A Spec races this would make the game much better. No more grinding for days and then cycling the UCD, just build up the prize cars and sell when you need to. This would make car collectors and tuners able to do what they enjoy the most with out getting fatigued by racing the same races over and over and over.....

Also off a disc to be sold at local game stores that contain all the patches and DLCs for the gamers that can't get online. Package it with the Spec 2 disk and you could sell it for 50 and you would give the offline players the benefits of PDs hard work and support to the GT series they have missed out on. I'm sure there are people who would go for this.
 
How about this:

On Time and Drift Trials they should show the car settings and tunes of the #1 spot (fastest leaderboard time)...

I'm not a bad driver I usually place between 500 and 1000 on leaderboards. but if your the fastest lap time share your tune because someone else may control the car .001 seconds faster than you..and if they can't then you claim the spot.. What do you think
 
I would like most of the a spec races to be 15 - 90 mins long. It's fair enough that the first race in beginner is just 2 laps of Autumn Mini, but pretty soon I was fed up with the pathetically short length of the races. The races are over before you get a chance to get into any rhythm and do a good lap and be happy with it.

In the end I was just grinding exp to unlock the endurance races and when I did, I was seriously disappointed in the track choices and lengths of those too. I would rather be tied up on top an ant nest for 4 hours with sugar in my eyes than than race most of the endurance races in GT5.
 
  • Remove the credits limit. Is there anything wrong with having more than 20 million?
  • More RM cars. 17 out of over 1000 just doesn't work. Perhaps some sort of "Stealth mod" for the cars that were stealth models of (SLS, 787B, Super GT Skyline, etc.). For the road cars, reduce the power to weight to the specs of the stealth cars.

    Perhaps some cars that could be RM'd:
    Ferrari 458 (perhaps like the Challenge car?)

    A single RM for each generation of 4WD Skyline (R32, R33, R34, and although it's not called a Skyline, R35).
    Perhaps make it look like a JGTC/Super GT car? It would be so awesome to once again kill with a Skyline. And the RM could be same for every Skyline of that generation, no worries of creating a million different ones.

    Mclaren F1 (perhaps to look like the F1 LM road car)
  • Perhaps if the stealth mod can't happen, offer the stealth cars in a future DLC.
  • More F1 cars! FGT, F2007 and F10 are just not enough. And we can't even RACE the Ferrari F1 cars. MORE!
  • PLEASE FIX THE STUPID VOLVO 240! PD ended up tacking on around 1000 pounds of extra weight to the car, making it much slower than it should (though it would still be sloooooooow).

I got nothing else for now.
 
I honestly think GT5 is now ALMOST close to perfect. It's very complete now at least. But there are a couple things I'd like. Some realistic, some not so much for what could be added in a patch.

My biggest gripe is the lack of tracks, and that can be easily cure with DLC which I'm more than happy to pay for because there are no upcoming racing games that are going to pull me away from GT5, not until GT6 anyway. Like most people here (I think), I am PRAYING they are going to add more tracks to GT5 sooner rather than later.

This is an easy one too. More rims to put on standard cars. There are some really nice one I could cherry pick like the NASCAR style rims, but why don;t we have access to ALL of the rims, there's no reason not to? We do have 800 cars and a dozen rims to put on all of them. Unlock all the rims, PD. PLEASE. It;s more important to players than you might think. SELL access to them if you must, i'll give you a buck or 2.

This is a tough one for a patch, but a proper track creator. We wouldn't even need more tracks with a decent track creator, and it wouldn't have to be very in depth. I don't need to decorate but I would like to lay out the track Mod Nation style, adjusting elevation and corner banking as I go. And make the sharable and raceable online by anyone.

If the GT community had a basic system like that, even with just the environments in the game now for create-a-track, we'd all be racing on every track in GT5 history and probably every decent real track in the world. AT least passable recreations. Hell, I made a passable and recognisable Watkin's Glen with the track creator now, with just a little bit of freedom I could create it perfectly just by memory because it's my favorite track ever. And everyone else would be doing the same thing.

What else is there to add to GT5? Not much that I can think of. Maybe an easier way to get the used cars you're looking for without having to find someone willing to trade with you and maybe burn you.

Or even better, make trading easier. 1 car a day? Million dollar limit? lift those restrictions. Those 2 restrictions are actually the only thing I feel is BAD about GT5 as it stands.

+1 Million. I live out in the middle of no where. The only internet i have is using my android as a wifi hotspot. I get 5gigs a month. I cant download patches that are 500 megs or something. I had to pack up my PS3 and my games and take a trip to my mother's house that's like 60 miles away just to get my GT5 patches and update my GTA4. Then i had to sit there and listen to her say "now this isnt gonna mess up my internet is it?" and id say "No Mom, it isnt gonna mess up your internet."
Then i plug in the cat 5 back into the back of her pc and of course it messed up her internet. So i had to call mediacom and fix the problem of there server reassigning a new ip address to the PS3's MAC address and didnt remove the one that was assigned to her pc's MAC address so there were 2 ip addresses on one modem and the server just shut both of them out and blocked the net traffic. IT SUCKED. So by the time I got home i needed to relieve some stress by killing some zombies in Left 4 Dead 2. (very stress relieving) Except I couldnt do that because at some point while i had my android hooked into my pc Steam came up with an update that was like 300 megs and it had started to download before i could stop it and now L4D2 won't start cuz its waiting for the rest of the update and :scared:AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!:crazy:

So anyway yea that would be a good idea for real.

Lol, that won't happen, simply because there's no way they can do it. I mean other than what people put in when they sign up for PSN how could they tell? And people can lie on that all the time. Also not all the "12" year olds are annoying. It can be any age. (Although younger kids do have really annoying voices). But I know where you're coming from. I'm 14 and I get annoyed by stupid kids too but it could be someone my age or older than me or younger. It just depends on the person, and their level of stupidity.

I think its like not being able to sell certain cars from your garage. That kinda sucks to I have 2 of the Nissan R390 race cars. One i got from a level ticket which I'm assuming they are picked randomly and another i got from completing some race. I have 2 I dont need 2 but im not gonna get rid of them mostly on principle cuz im not giving away a $4,000,000 car that I race my butt off to earn.

Yea thats it. you know what Id take $500,000 for that Nissan. At least Thats something.

Someone said a Livery Editor earlier. Thats what I meant instead of the vynils thing.

Also a BUNCH of A/B-Spec combo Races.

I can go on all day about the new cars they should include



And if your going to have nascar you need to add the Camping world truck series and the modified open wheel cars. And none of this 12 cars in a race i want the full 28 36 or 43.

I am really hoping PD has some new tracks in the works would be good to test out your ride on something different.
 
I would like Classic Gran Turismo Track like Complex String, Seattle Circuit, Midfield Raceway and Apricot Hill oh and the Test Course
 
Paid arcade.
Racing Event creator.
Racing event bundles with each DLC.

Out of 1000+ cars there are 3 Australian cars, The falcon race car, the commodore and the monaro (4 if you include the Pontiac GTO)

There is plenty of quality cars built down here over the years. The early model monaros, XU1 torana, HDT group A SS models plus the new VE commodores, HSV clubsports and GTS's etc. Can't forget the Aussie icons either with our utes, no one builds them better than us

Yes I'm a Holden fan but I can admit that ford has built some classic cars too. The XA-C cobra coupes, the GTHO phase 3, the FPV V8 and V6 Turbo models and others I can't think of at the moment lol.

Then there are our V8 supercars, could even do the Winfield R32 skylines, hell even throw in the valiant "wog boy" charger lol.

Definitely not. The guys on top of the ladder are there for a reason. They work hard to tune their cars to be able to fight for the top spot. If that's made available to everyone I believe it's not fair to that person to have someone else beat his/her time with their own tune.

The tuners don't mind helping people out with base tunes and even help understand tuning so players can work on their own tunes but I doubt they'd be happy with their tune put up for everyone to copy

So you want to reduce your Mclaren F1 to the weight and power of its stealth version hey.

Here is the specs for 1 of them from memory.

A fully tuned NCD Mclaren F1 is apr 885 bhp and 970kg.
A fully tuned Stealth F1 is apr 790 bhp and 1100kg.

Your loss matey. Dont believe everything you hear about Stealths they may look great but its NCD counterpart is quicker. The NCD Mclaren can lap Nurburgring faster than the Stealth version.

Do a little homework it helps.

And yes I have all the Stealths, dont use em much for the above reasons except the GT500 GT-R.
 
The one missing feature is this:

C-Spec.
You have your own driver.
You are on the passenger-seat.
You can fully look around and enjoy the scenery.
Then you can press select.
This will open your incar laptop and enables you to

Wait for it....

Logon to GTP!!! And then stalk the forums!!!!
