At first I was happy to be getting a new track but I wasn't ecstatic when I found out it was a oval(I was happy about the testing part though). So I bought it yesterday and I love it to pieces, the testing of my cars has gave me a good couple of hours of good testing and racked up a fair amount of mileage doing so.

But the best part about it,has to be the online racing, I like overtaking(who doesn't) on GT5 so having a track where I can drive at 300 MPH+ in a road car overtaking a LMP racer is just great fun, and gives close racing, earlier I beat someone by .001 after a massive slipstream war for two intense laps.

Has route x made online even more fun for you?

Haven't tired the track yet. I have no interest in buying the map as it is a waste for me.

Glad you enjoy it but to me 'slipstream wars' in a straight line isn't fun or challenging.

Love it, just the notion that you NEVER have to brake is brilliant, and I love cruising with about 10 other people then getting past the Start/Finish line again and flooring it. Works well with Moon over the Castle in the background aswell I find.

Love it....awesome track THANK YOU SO MUCH PD.

By the way, my cousins saw me play Gt5 on this track and wanted to have a go let them. A week later I got a text saying that they had (3 of them) all bought a ps3 and GT5. Fun times ahead in deed.

Sounds Ridge racer.

Wow, how did you get the track a week ago. Hmmm.

Sorry for double post but I had to reel this one in.

I think it's awesome too. I managed 330 MPH in my Chaparral 2J ;)

I have to say, I wasn't that stoked about Rt. X until I got it and raced it online.
WOW! Not only is it a beautiful track (I can't stop taking pictures) but it is surprisingly a blast to race, as well.
I raced everything from the new Beetle, Aventador, Aston, and Jag, to the X 2011.
I usually stay far away from any lobbies racing X1s but with route X, I finally have a reason (and desire) to race mine.
And what a freaking blast! This track was made for them.
I'm sure the new Speed Test function will be invaluable to the tuners out there but, for me, the big surprise has been how much I've enjoyed racing Rt. X. Absolutely loving the latest DLC!
Thank you PD.

It is great online. I played for three hours straight. One of the best online tracks in my opinion.

Not just the straight line battles on the corners.

I was in the lead on the final corner and I was battling to keep the lead once we got to the final run for the line we were side by side trying to squeeze that last few pieces of speed from our machines.

By the way he beat me by a bumper

didn't lol my text message said it was received on the 27th Thursday and having heard the dlc came out on the 18th I said a week later.......I looked at my computer and it said the date was the 19th . Looks like that date in my phone is wrong. Ignore it...it was a some kind of monumental failure on my head to recognise that my phone had the wrong date.

BTW I told them about Gtplanet. Maybe they will join :)

Any track that requires no braking and very little steering input is still boring to me.

I love the track! Racing on it feels like there is more tactics than other tracks, in a way it feels like the cross country skiing sprints (if you guys are familliar with that?), the positionings in the field and the tactics to get to the right spot in the key moments (last corner for instance...) it's a totally different game! It has a certain charm :)

Even if your phone was set to 1956 it still doesn't make sense. You said they saw you playing on THIS track which only came out yesterday and then you claim to have got a text from them telling you they bought the game? Is your memory that bad you can't remember that it was only yesterday they saw you playing it, not a week ago as your phone may have suggested?

To those that say its not challenging. try having multiple lap race with tire wear and no boost. Talk about pit strategy.. Love the track

Sorry but I would be bored to tears after more than one lap.

This reminds me, finally a chance to take the Ferrari F1's to top speed and hold it for a while.

There's nothing like thrashing a stock Sambabus around Route X to stupidly loud 80's metal and rock...and crossing the finish line for another lap singing to Electric Dreams is just something special

As a driver, I'm all for anything that gives me more information. This track is nice because it allows me to make a few comparisons without my technique getting in the way.

I haven't had a chance to play it online yet, but will at some point I'm sure.

For me, this beautiful track was well worth the money. Keep it coming, PD, and I'll have my wallet waiting.

Is it also possible to play this track offline in arcade mode and race eg 15 AI cars?

Yes, although, at those speeds, one bump to the wrong place by the AI and you are horrifically out of control and out of the race.

And that's actually awesome. The AI go nuts with the slipstream. Sometimes they are dumb, sometimes they are evil.

I've have to admit too, that the Route X is surprising fun to drive.
I had yesterday many good 1 lap races with almost full room all the time (12 people)
It is a very good track for people who like plan their tactics. Overtake or not to overtake.

And start is very important if you want to keep up with the lead.

I haven't been an oval track fan, but this Route X is totally eyeopener for new type of races.

Drive safely! :)

Am I the only one who thinks Spa is 100 times better? I like Route X, I love Spa.

I bought it, but ive only really used it for taking photos, I havent even done half a lap, its too big!. :(
