Why that one unknown "Friend" when going online?

I have made no friends at all.'Who',or why it is there?Is it some kind of tracking devise so that PD can interfere your race pace if needed?Can someone give me an answer that is even remotely understandable.
 
What exactly do you mean? If you're talking about the friends list it's so you can find cool people who play the same game that you can race with and hang out with them online
 
You can add me to your psn friends list and I should show up in your GT 5 friends list.

Sounds like he doesn't have anyone on his friends list but one shows up in GT5 anyway. What is the name of the "friend"?
 
If you're talking about your XMB friend list, incoming request will show up there, but he/she will not be your friend until you approve the request.

If you sure you dont have any friend, just open a private lounge.. you'll be alone there.
If you start an open lobby, anyone can jump into your room.

I know how to add friends,but I dont have ANY in XMB.But when going online in GT5 theres that ONE,witch dont have name on it.It just is there?Not in XMB tough,only in game lobbys when you check your 'status?' So you all saying that isnt normal?-Like I said,INTERFERE if needed(wanted).My online racing is SOO scrud up.Am I hacked?
 
on the gt life menu, there is a list of either home, profile or community towards the left hand side. when on either profile or community, a list of people you know will appear. one of them is yourself, and sometimes it takes a while to load the name and the profile pic. if the problem you're talking about is on this menu, give it a few seconds to load.

My Home/top left corner/Basic Information...Theres that ONE in 'in game friends'?Same when going racing.Me?Why?Why they show ME as my "Friends"?There must be some other explanation for that.-Like said,someones like to 'join' my driving.If you think this online is about skill then sorry for you. -Sorry about my spelling,M8s and dudes. :p

What happens to threads is of no concern to you, leave it to the mods and report posts/threads if you think it breaks any rules. Otherwise if you've nothing useful to add then don't post.

While i'd like to say ignore the trolls, they do have a point. bad spelling and grammar is in violation of the AUP (acceptable use policy) and should be corrected.

You can see yourself there because the developers thought it would be a handy benchmark. while looking at the progress of your freinds, you can compare them to yourself.

I don't know who you are, but I know where you're posting from.

Even without knowing that, reading your posts makes it clear that you normally use another language other than English.

on the COMMUNITY in GTLIFE the reason it shows your name as well as when you add a friend, is because you can compare A-SPEC & B-SPEC LEVELS to see where you stand in the game far as progress gos, and check of all your friends and see who is online in alphabetical order. I use the one that shows them in alphabetical order for who is online on GT5 at that time. I have a full friends list and this make things easier for me.
 
You should post a picture -- I think it's the only sensible and/or reasonable way we here at GTP could help you with this "problem".

This. You are probably your own mystery friend. It is how you can look at your own game status and shared cars/drivers, as well as those things for any friends you might eventually think it worth making. It is also how you select your own progress log, message board, list of gifts recieved, and your portal to your own private lounge. Removing yourself from that list would mean creating an entire extra section for your own version of all those things.

Ofcourse,that would resolve a thing or two.As soon as I get my camera back from a friend I'll send a picture. :) -New to the game,too much to learn.

As far as I can tell there's little need to post a pic, it seems ORPHANTHIRTY7 has cleared up your little 'problem'. Unless ofcourse you mean you can see yourself AND another profile underneath your own, I don't think you've made that very clear.

There are a lot of helpful guys on here :) This is a huge forum and I must say, the 'wank/good guy' ratio is on the favourable side:tup: I used to moderate a pretty large forum (unrelated) and let's just say; it was hard to keep up with the scum!
