HOW TO SIGN UP

Leave a response with the format PSN/Team(Country)/Car. I will send you a friend request on PSN with more info about the series. If four friends want to sign up to be an entire team, that would be awsome.

SEE YOU ON THE COURSE

Cool 👍 still deciding on a car though :ouch:

I'm confused how the cars are equal.

I'm in. Thursdays are better for me.

Put me down for the '10 camaro SS

I'm willing to participate in any practice sessions as well.

Cars aren't totally equal, each team has faster and slower cars, but since its a team competition, each car is important, even if it doesn't win.

Rules update: To make the competition tighter, I have changed the rules to allow up to TWO of each car, so if two people want to drive the same car, that's fine, but NO MORE THAN 2. Several spots are still open, sign up soon so we can get preseason testing underway!

sweet, I've got a teammate!

If you don't have Spa DLC, you can't race there anymore. period. Even if the host has it. PD 'fixed' this a couple patches ago.

Ahh, if the V12 Vantage was on the list I'd sign up :sly:

@Skeletor: We can do a different track instead of Spa if not everyone has the DLC

Changes: Spa has been replaced by Circuit de la Sarthe

I did a little homework on all the cars that are allowed. Looks like racefan is aiming for premium cars inbetween 460pp & 500pp. The V12 Vantage is a bit over 500pp if I'm not mistaken.

I did find a couple of other cars that might be eligible:
Maserati Gran Turismo S (Italy/Europe)
Tesla Roadster (US)

Sounds like a good idea, I'll include those cars in our testing session on Thursday. Speaking of which, anyone who wants to participate in our testing session (Thursday, 9pm EST/8pm CST, my lounge), please let me know.

I'll be around Thursday for sure... Maybe... heh.
Anyways, might be a good idea to host it in a public loby. Possibly get a few more people interested. Not everyone is on GT planet.

We'll see. Anyway, after some extensive testing, I've decided to add the Maserati GranTurismo S to team Europe as Skeletor suggested. However, I don't think the Tesla has enough power to be competitive.

I guess I'll join. Thursdays are pretty busy for me though :indiff:

Glad to have you, and the user name isn't that bad:)

That's a good idea, we'll probably do it in a public lobby for this first test session. However, future regular season events will be in my lounge. Thanks for the tip :)

i have a few questions about the series

1 - are we allowed team colors
2 - obviously adding a spoiler will alter the cars pp but can we add body kits ?
3- what exactly is thursday for ??? race day or just testing out the cars ?

1 - you can paint your car however you want, if you want to coordinate with your team thats fine, but its not required

2 - no, no aftermarket parts whatsoever except rims and paint

3 - we will be racing thursday night but not for points yet, just to see how the cars work out and try to atract more drivers to the series

thanks for the invite racefan - i will try and make it; i run in a weekly series already that starts around 7pm, so....yeah heh

i'll run an m3 for europe, but really dont have a problem driving any of the cars in the roster for any of the countries.

Ok, sweet, I will sign you up. If you have any friends who might be interested feel free to forward the email I sent to let them know about the series!

Hopefully the network outage planned for tonight won't effect our practice session, but if it does we will move it to next thursday. I will post the room number on here and send out a psn message to those who are interested once I get the room up.

Well, if that's the case or not, as 'captan' of "Team USA", I wouldn't mind doing a few open loby practice sessions. And it doesn't have to be on Thursday. Maybe one this weekend, a few during next week, etc.
