Well, if that's the case or not, as 'captan' of "Team USA", I wouldn't mind doing a few open loby practice sessions. And it doesn't have to be on Thursday. Maybe one this weekend, a few during next week, etc.

Ok, if our testing session doesn't get postponed by the network outage you can try that tonight, but after some testing I did on my own I'm not sure that car will be competitive. If need be I'll move to Team USA and drive a Challenger.
Some good racing went on tonight. Next week we will test at some of the other tracks on the curcuit and then, assuming we get enough people to sign up, we'll start some REAL racing!
I would say that was a successful trial run (easy for me to say). Looks like we got some good, competitive, & respectful drivers so far in this series. I'm a little surprised that more people are not into this type of racing.

I was going to ask for opinions on that. My thoughts were somewhere in the 20-25 minute range. Or we could do multiple shorter races. What do you think?
I think between 20-30 minutes would be fine. Maybe closer to 20 minutes if we have limited participants. That probably would require at least one pit stop. I also wouldn't mind doing (2) 20 minute races per night. I'm also on the west coast so it's not as late of a night for me.
I know you specify sports soft tires in the OP, but could we use a harder compound such as mediums or hards?
thinking the same thing like maybe 20 -25 laps tops that should equal to 20 or so mins depending on the track, as for tires i would go for the options to ONLY pick between medium or hard sports tires so that were given more of a reason to pit.
if we do have a mandatory pit rule then possible penalties might have to be given out to people who don't pit.
I like this idea. I'm thinking I might turn off tire/fuel consumption so that pitstops aren't an issue. We could do 2 races, second one would be reverse grid order from the first. Since drivers are allowed to swap cars within their team, if they find out the car they picked for the first race doesn't suit the track, they can pick a different one for the second race.
What I meant was 2 races at the same track, so it would still be a 6 week season. But for the first season anyway I like your idea better. In that case we wouldn't do the reverse grid order, we'd have a qualifying session for each race. And yes, you can switch cars freely, even if you do get a teammate you can still switch as long as there isn't more than two of each car. If no one else signs up I'll switch to Team USA so you'll have a teammate.

I guess I'm not too concerned whether or not I get a team-mate or not. I'm just here to kick butt. However, if you want to be on a winning team, you and/or anyone else is more then welcome to join me!
Of course you're disapointed in the infinity, it's not an actual US car (Nissan owned, built in US). If you or anyone decides to use this car for "Team USA" will be fired from "Team USA".
I've found the Camaro to be a little quicker then the Challenger, but the Challenger is more stable.
found that out too but the reason for that is because the extra 100kg on the car, but i like the Camaro SS's handling because its more loose it can be better on tracks with more turns but well see when we test it out
