Cars you can never get back if you sell?

I know that on the races where you get one of four cars for winning, you can keep going back and get a different car each time. On races where you get one specific car, you get the car the first time and never again.

So, that means there are some cars you can never get back if you sell them. For example, look at the Vanquish. It's not buyable. You get it from the Pro British GT (single prize car) and from the IA License Gold. So, say you thought the Vanquish was a lead brick that you weren't going to drive and you sold both of them to unclutter your garage, you can never get another one without starting a new game or trading another person.

I looked up all the race prizes, and from what I can tell, every one of these cars is gone forever if you sell it:

Mazda 787B (Pro Like the Wind, 75% Complete)
Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex Sigeno (Amateur FR Challenge)
Vanquish V12 (Pro British GT Car Cup / IA License Gold)
Spoon Civic Type R (Pro FF Challenge)
CLK Touring Car (Amateur Silver Arrow)
Nismo 400R (Amateur Race of Red Emblem)
Nismo Skyline GT-R S-Tune (Amateur 80's Cup)
Lancer Evolution VII Rally Car Prototype (Pro 4WD Challenge / Rally of Alps II)
Mine's Lancer Evolution VI (Amateur Race of NA Sports)
Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car (Amateur Evolution Meeting / Smokey Mountain II Rally)
Impreza Rally Car Prototype (SS Rt 5 Wet II Rally / Rally License Gold)
Escort Rally Car (Tahiti Maze Rally)
Celica Rally Car (Rally Challenge)
Celica TRD Sports M (Amateur FF Challenge)

For PAL players, the Viper Team ORECA should be on the list because it can't be bought, although it doesn't really matter, because PAL players can't sell it, either (thanks Famine).

Can anybody confirm if these are the only 14 cars you have to worry about keeping?

Edit: added Spoon Civic (thanks RUI)
Edit: added rally cars (thanks DN)
Edit: Some guy told me Like the Wind gave you the 787B every time you did it, but that's not true, so 787B is back on the list.

Can you get the Zonda Race Car after you sell it after winning both the Avant Garde races? Cause i sold mine, yep....i am an idiot :).

just do the all japan gt championship using the save load trick and uve gota zonde race in ur garage :D

there is such thing as prize car list u silly noob:P

only joking :)

hahaha, its true Hsv Coupe. So many ppl have never taken a look at the prize car list. And its such an awesome prize car list also!!!

The thing is, car you can get in two different single races aren't really cars you can never get back. If you sold the 787B, for example, when you won it from Like The Wind, you can get it again once you have 75% of the game done. I don't consider that a car that's gone forever once you have sold it, unless you sold it twice.

RUI:
Thanks. I've added the Spoon Civic Type R, but the Viper Team ORECA can be bought at the dealer (although it is $1,000,000).

wildcard:
True, you'd have to sell the 787B twice -- just like you'd have to sell the Vanquish or Lancer Rally Prototype twice. Still, it's something you have to keep in mind. If you do really like the 787B, you'd probably want to keep both of them and not put any miles on your 75% one.

BadBatsuMaru - In fact in the PAL version of the game the Viper cannot be bought. Or in fact sold. So although it belongs on the list as "cars that can only be won once", you can't sell it... :D

Same goes for the normal Honda S2000 in PAL mode.

I don't think the S2000 should be on the list for PAL, because you can actually win it again, but the Viper should be up there...

Vanquish shouldn't be up there, as you can win it more than once, and same goes for the EVO VI, EVO VII, and Impreza Rally Prototype...The Peugeot 206 should be up there.;)

u dont get a 787b every time u do like the wind do u? if u do thats good cos ill get my self some easy money  but i doubt u can

and the viper cant be bought for 1,000,000....or can it in the U.S version?

Nope, you don't get a 787b every time you do the like the wind, unfortunately, as it isn't a series race, and it doesn't offer more than one car for prizes.

The Viper GTS/R Team Oreca can be bought for a million in the NTSC Version, and it can also be sold...but in the PAL you can only win it from completing all Amateur races, and you can't sell it...:)

Yes you do. Like the Wind isn't really a single prize race. It has 4 cars for prizes, but each car is the 787b.

I've ran Like the Wind loads of times and I only ever won the 787B the first time. Every other time after that, you only get the money.

You also get a 787B for 75% completion too.

So it is possible to have 2 of them, but if you sell them, you can't get them back. :(

PAL users don't get it every time they do like the wind, i found out to my dismay last night! :(

Yeah, that was wrong. You don't get it the 2nd time you run Like the Wind on the NTSC version, either.

Yay, I was finally right! :P

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Nismo Skyline GT-R S-tune (R32) available in the Professional Japanese GT Championship? The Prize Car List says that it is.

I thought that it was only available once too. I was looking to get another Trueno Shigeno Edition, but noticed that it could not be won again. So I started over and began collecting all of these cars on another memory card. That is actually how I found this website.

So, I think that of the "Ultra Exotic Cars", there are only 13 of them. Not 14.

P.S. This is my first post and I don't exactly know what I am doing. So, I apologize if I make any stupid mistakes now or in the near future. :D

My list says for Pro/JGTC:

Pennzoil Skyline GT-R
Castrol Mugen NSX
Autobacs MR-S Apex
Pagani Zonda Race Car

So, no. :D

Welcome to GTP. The only thing you've done wrong so far is that signatures should be no more than six lines long (including blank lines). But it's not exactly a hanging offence. Besides, you're refreshingly lucid - n0t l1k3 50m3 0f th3 m0r0n5 ar0und h3r3. All y0ur ba53 r bel0ng 2 u5!

Have fun! :D

Okay, the prize list is wrong then and so is the one that I printed off another website. Maybe that was from an earlier version?

I deleted the blank lines from my sig and got it down to 10 lines, but just cannot bring myself to delete 2 of those quotes! They're too cool! If it really bothers people, I'll get rid of them.

Tazio:
It's just a lot of scrolling for people to do to get through a thread when you've got a .sig that long. If you would put the credits on the same lines as the quotes, that would get it down to 5 lines (although the first quote is long enough that it'll wrap on most people's monitors).

Just out of curiosity, what are the other prize car(s) for Like The Wind? (I won the 787B, just as expected.)

Tazio, Since your username iis named for arguably the best racing driver in the world, we'll let you slide. It's not as if you're using 15 colors, 12 fonts, and varying sizes in your signature...

There are no other prize cars for Like the Wind. Just the 787B. And you can only win it twice.

I think that Like the Wind should be an Endurance Race with a bigger cash prize & the ability to win cars again. I mean, come on! The other Endurance Races were a lot easier to "endure" than this one.
