Longer races with weather changes? COOL! A GT500 RACE? Really COOL! SRF FORCED ON??! No, no, no, no....just no. I'm going out.

PD, you gave us 2.09 which most people think is very, very nice. However, you're killing this improvement in this seasonal with SRF.

Please make SRF an option for this very nice looking seasonal.

I highly doubt that PD is gonna change it, and I know, SRF is stupid.

Also, this seasonal ain't better than the others, again just chase the rabbit ... but longer.

Probably not but...

Full 16 car field, dynamic weather, time penalties for track-cutting and ramming... all great, they should do this for all seasonals.

SRF on? Well... at least give us a choice to switch it off. Forcing it on, kinda sucks.

But, overall, a good set of seasonals.

I could really care less if it was on or off. The races are so fun!

This is all that matters.
I honestly didn't even know it was on until I read it on the forums.

Same here, I saw that the option was locked out and automatically assumed it was off without even looking any further into it.

+100 I so agree with you there, they are fun. :D:tup: Maybe PD must of forgot to turn it off or something? Who cares, again like you said, the races are fun!

So did I at first. Overall I'm not gonna let this SRF thing keep me away from enjoying this seasonal, its to much fun to ignore just because of it.

Hell, I thought it was OFF. They make it to where it's automatically off all the time, so that's what I thought they did. But, obviously, I was mistaken.

I wish they made it optional, but I'm doing the races anyway. I have to say, the cars are still a little slippery, even when it's dry. Maybe they'd be moreso if SRF was off, but it doesn't feel completely unrealistic.

So, I'll accept this, begrudgingly.

Really? Skid Recovery Force is forced on in that event? Wow just wow

Im pretty sure it is off in the Corvette TT. Its only fixed on in the races.

Welcome to pholophony digital, enjoy your stay (:

Hahha just unexpected i guess. Like Nascar special event having active stability management on. When they don't even have ABS

They are unlikely to change it.
I am still new to the game so don't even know what SRF is.
But it sounds as though if turned on (forced) it makes things very hard indeed.
So I voted to turn it off.

SRF stands for Skid Recovery Force and people want it off not because it makes the game harder, but because it makes the game ridiculously easier by making cars have unrealistic grip.

Wow! Really?! No wonder i struggled with them! This explains why i kept fish-tailing when recovering from a minor slip.

I never use SRF! (except for X1s) I'm skillful enough to correct any slip as it happens. When SRF does it for me, it actually does it at the same time as me, thereby causing my correction to become an over-correction. I can't not take the correcting-action: I do it subconsciously without even thinking...

I have to have it off!

Wow thanks so that means it will be easier for me then. So I can understand it when people want to win things by the hardest way possible, good for them but I am still struggling to finish the Civic challenge so any help I can get I am going to take!

I guess I'll take the time to say that I want it optional. I wouldn't mind SRF if I were stuck with a DS3. But as a wheel user, I want the most realistic experience possible when playing so SRF has really put me off from doing these. It's a joke that PD keeps messing up the most simplest things.

Started the fiest 600 race.

Bought a Nismo GT-R.

The other cars start half a lap in front.

Then I saw penalty for short cuts.

What a joke.

Not bothering with it.

Senseless and makes the game wholly unrealistic.

What's so odd about the forced SRF is adding track penalties. Why add a difficulty then add a forced aid to make it easier. Doesn't make sense.

It's a shame as these could have been a nice break from the same old same old. Although it's still chase the rabbit but in a different flavor.

Honestly 700PP R35 TC and i didnt even notice SRF, now that was a epic race :D..... It was a Battle with a 905 to the finish :D

Penalties being on should be compulsory for seasonal events, having them off is unrealistic and leads to cheating using shortcuts.

Starting half a lap behind isn't too bad, it should be a challenge over a 10 lap race, or would be without SRF forced on :grumpy:

You saw penalties for shortcuts and thought it was unrealistic. You mean being allowed to do shortcuts is realistic... Seriously?!

This forced aid didn't make it easier for me at all. I couldn't slide into corners with oversteer and late braking at all because every time i would try to correct it/point the nose where i needed it, the SRF would do it at the same time as me, causing my correction to become an over-correction. I wasn't able to drive how i wanted to because that stupid SRF kept stuffing me up. I would've been faster, had i been able to drive how i usually do.

At least for me anyway, that driving aid made it harder, not easier! :grumpy:

+100:tup:

It is great that a lot of players are having fun with this seasonal. PD can include more of us in the fun by making SRF optional.

Happy holidays:)

Better yet, they could disallow SRF. That's what i would vote for, OP. -_-

Since we are not competing against each other, I don't see any reason to force it one way or the other. Choice is good:sly:.

Penalties for shortcuts is unrealistic? Do you watch any motorsport?

I always view these "catch rabbit" seasonals not as "full races", more like "the final laps of a much longer race"... you are in last place and the pressure is to fight back and win.

With that perspective, they are rather enjoyable. Rise to the challenge! 👍

Well I find these New Years challenges great...OK I only did the first one on Suzuka, as it was getting late last night....But looking forward to do the others...And I will do them all numerous times, thats for sure...Skid Rec Force forced on??? OK makes it easy to win. I won Suzuka on first go, and did it twice more. So yes, it would have been better to give us the option to turn it off..But what the heck....Just enjoy....If You find it too easy, then change to race medium or race hard...or turn down Your pp....Sometimes its enjoyable to have Skid Rec on..And when it`s FORCED on, You have a good excuse to use it, right??? It`s a HOLYDAY challenge, and during HOLYDAYS You want to relax, right??? Very cool with the Weather change, and the short cut penalty....Funny challenge....About "chase the rabbit" - As allways, but as roflcoptor says above, think of it as the last ten laps of a longer race...Super idea, I never thought of that...Wise mr roflcoptor...I`ll do that..Thanks for the hint `coptor dude...yeah
